It's The Other Way Around

There's one thing that's on the mind of man, and that is his needs being met, so he wakes up and runs after his needs every day. He calls it hard work, as he gets a job and works his strength out to get something to compensate for his hard work. It's quite sad.

All these began when Adam and Eve were sent out of the garden. Adam had to till the ground to survive (ref.: Genesis 3:17-19). And that's how the world has been ever since. But was that the plan of God from the beginning?

Before God made Adam he had made provision for all that he would ever need. So, if that was done, what was Adam's job? His job was to tend and guard what God had given him. He had no business toiling. So, looking at what man does today, it's the other way around from God's intention.

So, can we live God's original plan right here on earth?

The man wasn't created to toil. By toiling, we lose sight of our true purpose of existence which is to tend and guard what he has provided ahead.

Now, the moment you receive Christ Jesus into your life, the question you are to ask is what you are to do not to have your needs met, but as the chore of a Son or Daughter of God. Why? It is because all your needs have already been met.

Matthew 6:33 says we should seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all the things we are running up and down for will be added. There won't be a need to run after it because it was already available from the start.

Jesus said earlier in Matthew 6:31 that we shouldn't worry about our needs, and in verse 32 that those who run after these things are unbelievers, those who don't know Him.

Our focus is to live the life He has called us to live, fulfilling our mandate as Sons and Daughters of God here on earth. And we are to be rest assured that by just being His Sons and Daughters, our needs have been sorted.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t? Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
