Productivity Under Jesus

My focus today is not new, based on what I have written before. Today's write-up is an extension of Obedience or Hard work?

Hard work is very important, well that would be productive hard work is very important, because it enables us to achieve success. But this is the way the world operates. And this started when the world of scarcity began, that was when Adam and Eve were sent out of the Garden of Eden.

Some people work hard but they don't see the result of their effort, this could be frustrating, although, this is seen as a possibility that could happen because outcomes of the world are based on probabilities. But Sons and Daughters of God do not operate by hard work, so, what do they operate with, and how do they go about it?

Now, hard work as I mentioned, is one way to achieve productivity, the other way is how the Sons and Daughters of God achieve productivity. And this other way is through obedience.

Hard work as the world goes about it is through their own leading and direction, and this way is based on probability and history. But the Sons and Daughters of God base their obedience on Grace.

God through our Lord Jesus Christ has given the world grace, but many choose to do things their own way. Grace is undeserved and unmerited favour. God knows all things, He created us and knows our lives and the outcomes of our lives even before they happen. And He doesn't base all these on history, but a mystery. In other words, He is in our future before we get there, even as He is right here with us. And He is ready to lead us when we choose.

Now, grace comes to play because, all that the Father has, He has given to us through His Son Jesus Christ (ref.: John 16:15). Why through Jesus?

Jesus is the firstborn of the Father over all creation, who is also the image of the invisible God (ref.: 2 Corinthians 4:4b; Colossians 1:15; Hebrews 1:3), and the Sons and Daughters of God are born of God, as Jesus is the first, while other Sons and Daughters of God come after, with all having the same Spirit of God.

Jesus was the only man who walked in perfection, that was why God raised Him and gave Him the name that is above every other name, and He represents the new creation or those born again. This is why we receive grace through Jesus.

Ephesians 1:3 says God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ. And 1 Corinthians 3:21&23 says all things are ours because we are of Christ as Christ is of God. So, where does obedience come in as the new source of productivity?

Grace has been given to all, but to activate it, we need the Holy Spirit who shows us how to activate the grace God has given us. And this grace is through Jesus, which implies that we, first of all, need to receive as our Lord (ref.: Romans 10:9&10). The moment we do that we have the mind of Christ, which is the mind of God, who is the Holy Spirit who leads and guides us.

To know more of the grace God gave us is to know more of Jesus, which is to study the word of God. The more we study the word, the more we receive revelations of the grace of God. As we keep receiving, the Holy Spirit shows us the path to take (ref.: Psalm 119:105), which activates the grace given to us. But it is only when we obey what the Holy Spirit tells us that we see the grace activated.

All we are to do after we get born again is to study and meditate on the word of God, which allows the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us. But if we do not obey Him, then we should not blame anyone when things don't work out in our lives.

One thing we need to remember is that obedience comes with humility, unlike hard work, which comes with pride because of the knowledge acquired. But we must be humble to listen and obey, and the more we study the word of God, the more we release the humility of God which we received when we became born again.

Everything God wants us to become is already in us, all we need to do is to obey the Holy Spirit of Jesus, and we will activate it to bring it to manifestation. And remember this, through our obedience, we glorify the Father.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
