You Cannot Love God By Yourself Alone (Part 2)

Happy Weekend everyone,

Yesterday, I wrote what the greatest commandment of the old covenant really meant which is to love the Lord GOD with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and the second greatest which is loving your neighbour as yourself. Today, I'll continue from where I stopped yesterday.

Loving the God with all these means becoming one with the Lord which I said yesterday. It means becoming you become completely focused on Him and Him alone. What God meant here was having His spirit in us, letting Him become our lives, so instead of focusing on ourselves, we now focus on the new us which is our spirit that is, His spirit.

Then loving our neighbours as ourselves is much deeper than we could ever imagine. To love your neighbour as yourself implies giving. God/Jesus emphasised on love which is the greatest force in the world and in portraying this, giving is a strong characteristic. To give out of love is to put that person first because first off, love is sacrificial and when you give out of love, it means you recognised the persons need and decided to give in order for the person to meet that need.

Giving is a powerful way to displaying loving one's neighbour as himself. This is how God expects us to run the world but many on the other hand never understood this and followed the world’s pattern of doing things.

It is quite surprising that some of the people of the world understood this secret of giving and used it and they saw great results at doing this. There are secrets which aren’t really secrets that are the answer to the question Jesus answered in Mark 12:30, which I’ll write tomorrow, so log on tomorrow for this.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

Log on next time.
