Practice What You Preach

Hi everyone,

In one of my write-up, I wrote on the importance of synergy in the body of Christ in order to make any true and positive transformation here on earth. I also wrote that the Sons of God have been distracted so much that they have lost focus on their mission, and as a result of that, many are losing faith in God. Today’s focus is still on synergy, but more on what we say in order to achieve our mandate.

2 Timothy 2:15 says, “Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analysing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skilfully teaching] the Word of Truth.” AMP. The point that led to this verse is for Timothy to choose wisely, those whom he would ordain as teachers for the Word of God. So in line with that, Paul told Timothy to study and be eager to show himself approved by God, one who is not ashamed and rightfully teaching the Word of God. This is very important, but Apostle Paul did not stop there, he went further in verse 16 and 17 which says, “But avoid all empty (vain, useless, idle) talk, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness. And their teaching [will devour; it] will eat its way like cancer or spread like gangrene…” AMP.

As Sons of God, apart from teaching the right Word of God, you are to live the Word of Truth, by walking in the spirit. This is very important because your life is a strong form of evangelism which should display an exemplary life of Christ in everything you do; also, many people get saved just by watching how you live, what you say, which is why Paul wrote to Timothy that he should avoid empty, vain, useless, and idle talk, because in order to lead people to righteousness you need to live the life of righteousness yourself.

People look at your way of life first before they listen to you, therefore the Sons of God should practice what they preach, which is shows to the world that they need another life to survive.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
