Believe What You Confess

Hello everyone,

As I explained last time, sin and sins are not the same things even though they are linked. Sin is a nature of the devil, while sins are the characteristics we portray which are not in line with the nature of the God/Jesus. Now, Jesus took that sin nature and gave us a new nature, which is His nature called righteousness. And all those who receive this new nature become Sons and Daughters of God or born again, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have the bad habit of sins. This is so because we have to renew our mind or teach our mind that we are now righteous, and this is done through the constant meditation of the Word of God. And as we continuously meditate on who we truly are, which is, the righteousness of God, our sins start to reduce, and our characteristics qualities of the fullness of Christ increases.

My focus today is still on the meditation of the Word of God. When we are faced with challenges, we have a choice to make, either to accept the challenge as real or stand on what the Word of God says concerning the challenge being faced. Of course, almost everyone would say they would stand by what the Word of God says.

Many confess the Word of God day and night over their challenges and still see no change. But what many don’t know is that confession is not the only that makes the challenges fade. I saw a quote by a Pastor who said, “You can’t just speak the word—you have to believe it, too.” And this is where many get it wrong. You cannot speak the Word and believe another thing, it can’t work! It’s like trying to mix oil and water.

Whenever we confess the Word, we have to believe it, this is where renewal and transformation take place. Confession without belief in what is confessed is like meaningless leaves that that fall off a tree. You have to believe what you are confessing or else you won’t see any transformation. And remember, you have to persevere by not being distracted. It is well with you in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
