Don't Take Him For Granted

You know, any time I read about the children of Israel in the wilderness, I just feel pity for them in their disobedience because it was either the ground opened to swallow the disobedient ones, or snakes came to bite them and they died, or a sickness or something else.

All these happened to them because while God offered them rest in Him, they chose to suffer under the fallen earth, making themselves become prey. Also, their nature was fallen one. But it was a reason for them to be obedient to God, but they weren't.

Now, Jesus rescued the whole world by becoming sin, the root cause of the world's problem, then giving His righteousness in exchange for the sin He became (ref.: 2 Corinthians 5:21).

Now, by confessing Jesus as Lord of your life, and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you are saved (ref.: Romans 10:9). You now have the nature of God/Christ Jesus meaning that your Spirit who is the real you is now the same as Christ Jesus Himself. But even though you are saved, your soul and body weren't saved. Whoa, what are you going to do?

Let's take a look at Colossians 2:6-7. It says, "In the same way you received Jesus our Lord and Messiah by faith, continue your journey of faith, progressing further into your union with him! Your spiritual roots go deeply into his life as you are continually infused with strength, encouraged in every way. For you are established in the faith you have absorbed and enriched by your devotion to him!" TPT.

After receiving Christ Jesus as our Lord, Colossians 2:6 tells us to continue our journey of faith in Christ Jesus. Why? This is because, the need to renew our minds is very important, to allow the mind to accept the new nature of Christ. In order words, the mind is ignorant of what has happened, and it must enlightened, this is the journey of faith Colossians 2:6 means.

And as we continue our journey of faith, we are becoming Christ Jesus in our character words and deeds, because in the Spirit, we are already one, so, we just live His life here on earth.

Now, remember the children of Israel at the beginning of this write-up, and how they behaved? Yeah, I said they couldn't enter into God's rest because of their stiff-necked attitude. But we on the other hand are not expected to be like them because our nature is that of Jesus.

Jesus died for the sins of the whole world. By faith, we have entered into Grace, and God is no more angry with us any more. But some have seen this and taken His Grace for granted.

Apostle Paul said in Romans 6:2, that those who have died to sin cannot live in it any longer. This is true of our nature, so, it is abnormal for a Son or Daughter of God to live the life of sin even when they know it is ungodly and not their nature anymore.

But remember the soul is still being renewed, which affects the body directly. So, if you take Christ Jesus for granted by choosing not to live His way of life, in the name of Grace, what you do not know is that you're allowing the devil to have access to your body. That's the only way the devil can disturb a Son or Daughter of God.

Do not be a victim of the devil's deception by allowing it to enter your life through the works of the flesh. Your nature is that of Jesus, the Holy Spirit guides and leads you always. So, do not choose to walk outside His protection, nothing bad can happen to you. But do not create an open door. Always be on the alert. Meditate on the word of God day and night, be guided by the Holy Spirit, and you will see yourself grow in grace in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

God bless you.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t? Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

The Renewal Process

Today's write-up is more or less a refresher, to remind us of what happened after the born-again experience.

Romans 12:2 says, "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

Now, as Sons and Daughters of God, the process of renewal is continuous, because just as Apostle Paul said in Ephesians 4, we are to keep growing until we attain the manner and stature of Christ Jesus (ref.: Ephesians 4:13).

Our Spirit was saved, but not our soul and body.

Just a quick one, we are Spirit beings, possess a soul and live in a body. And the key part of our existence, that is our Spirit, was saved. Our Spirit is us, while the soul is the connectivity between the spirit and the physical realm. The soul is where we find our conscience, the mind, will, and emotion.

Our Spirit now contains the fullness of God, the same Spirit of Jesus, because he is God. The soul is the door to the body, and needs to understand the changes. This is where the renewal of the mind comes in.

So, what is the renewal of the mind?

To answer this, let's look at Romans 12:1, which says, "Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? To surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship." TPT.

To renew our minds, we first of all in light of God's mercies towards us, surrender ourselves to God. To surrender here doesn't mean as a slave to a master but as a Son to his Father. A Son trusts his Father, and surrenders to him easily, ready to do whatever his Father asks him to do because he has first of all seen the great love his Father has towards him and that he is ready to do anything his Father asks him to do.

Likewise, as Sons and Daughters of God, if we properly understand the love and mercy God has shed towards us by Grace through faith in Christ Jesus, it allows us to be a true Son to our Father God Almighty. Seeing that no one else can love and be more merciful to us as He is.

John 15:13 says, "No one has greater love [no one has shown stronger affection] than to lay down (give up) his own life for his friends." AMPC. To see God in this light after what He has done for us allows us to be a living sacrifice, Holy and acceptable unto Him, as a sincere Son to his Father. By this, we are then able to renew our minds.

The mind is convinced to allow the new nature of the Spirit to flow through every part of the soul which naturally affects the body. For the body is a reflection of the soul.

Trust is key, as the experience of His love towards us allows us to trust Him. And there is no end to knowing how much God loves us. Coming as Christ Jesus, expressing Himself among us to have a feel of His love and compassion, it is now left to us to receive that mercy, love and grace towards us.

So, the renewal of the mind is a process and is caused by knowing how much He loves us. As 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 says, "For it is Christ’s love that fuels our passion and holds us tightly, because we are convinced that he has given his life for all of us. This means all died with him, ¹⁵ so that those who live should no longer live self-absorbed lives but lives that are poured out for him—the one who died for us and now lives again." TPT. And by this, we will prove that good, acceptable, perfect will of God.

God bless you. Have a blessed day.

Have You Seen God?

I read 3 John 1:11 and marvelled. The verse says, "Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God."

The last part of the verse was the striking part of the for me, where it says, "he who does evil has

not seen God."
It goes to show that the experience of God Himself is so powerful that it manifests who He is. 1 John 4:8 says, God is love.

Now, the entire verse of 1 John 4:8 says, "He who does not love does not know God, for God is love." This means that the absence of God is emptiness or a void. This is why darkness is the absence of light. But light can never be the absence of darkness, because light occupies. Darkness on the other hand doesn't occupy, it is just a void or an empty space to be filled by something, and that something is light.

In the same vein, coming back to 3 John 1:11, the person who is evil lives in emptiness. For God is life who expresses it as He goes (trying to put it in human understanding). Also, He is love, and He expresses it.

So, the person who hasn't seen God hasn't experienced the overwhelming nature of goodness which fills up the void of evil in the person's heart. And remember that love being the fruit of the Spirit has goodness within it as one of its characteristics (to see God is to know Jesus, who is the express image of God).

As Sons and Daughters of God we express love as the fruit of the Spirit of God we received as our life, where goodness is an attribute, a natural behaviour seen in Sons and Daughters of God as they keep growing in Him (ref.: 2 Peter 3:18).

So, the verse is right to say he who does good is of God because he or she has His Spirit.

So, have you seen God?

Have a blessed day.

The Church Determines the World's Future

Yesterday, I explained how perceptions have become the deciding factor over how we view things. Bringing the story of the six blind men who touched an elephant to give their perceptions on what felt individually. No matter what they perceived, whether it was in line with what the elephant truly was or wasn't, it didn't change what the elephant was.

I then made it clear that Jesus doesn't want us to perceive Him using our ways of thinking. If that happens, we will arrive at different perceptions that are far from the truth. And remember, our perception is what we take as the truth even if it isn't.

Jesus also made it clear our perception of Him, comes from Him rather than us using our senses to arrive at conflicting understanding of who He is.

Sadly, today we see diversity in the body of Christ. The reason is simple, human perception of who Christ is.

Jesus told Peter when he said that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, that the revelation came from His Father. The revelation of Christ comes from Christ Himself. And it is not in our place to interpret, because that is the job of the Holy Spirit, who interprets the revelation we receive from Christ.

Jesus told His disciples that they should not go into the world until the Holy Spirit had come upon them. The reason was and still is simple, and that is to prevent different human perceptions of the purpose of Christ's coming.

But what we have today is that the world has crept into the church making the church lose her focus.

1 Corinthians 1:26-31 says, "²⁶ Brothers and sisters, consider who you were when God called you to salvation. Not many of you were wise scholars by human standards, nor were many of you in positions of power. Not many of you were considered the elite when you answered God’s call. ²⁷ But God chose those whom the world considers foolish to shame those who think they are wise, and God chose the puny and powerless to shame the high and mighty. ²⁸ He chose the lowly, the laughable in the world’s eyes—nobodies—so that he would shame the somebodies. For he chose what is regarded as insignificant in order to supersede what is regarded as prominent, ²⁹ so that there would be no place for prideful boasting in God’s presence. ³⁰ For it is not from man that we draw our life but from God as we are being joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. And now he is our God-given wisdom, our virtue, our holiness, and our redemption. ³¹ And this fulfills what is written: If anyone boasts, let him only boast in all that the Lord has done!" TPT.

God chose those whom the world considered as nobodies, or unwise to shame the so-called wise and those who claim they have power. Why? Look at verse 29, which says, "so that there would be no place for prideful boasting in God’s presence." TPT. This is the issue we have in this world.

Verse 30 also says, "For it is not from man that we draw our life but from God as we are being joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. And now he is our God-given wisdom, our virtue, our holiness, and our redemption." TPT.

It is clear in verse 30 that it is not in man that we draw our life but from God, because the moment we become born again, we are joined to Jesus who is NOW OUR WISDOM! I cannot over-emphasise this.

Even Apostle Paul with all his studies counted all as dung, why? For the wisdom we seek is found in Jesus alone. And when the church submits to her first love, then we see ourselves becoming one again, because we then become humble to receive from Him. It is no longer our perception, but His perception, and the interpretation by the Holy Spirit.

Until this is done, the future of the world is at stake, because the world is headed for destruction, but the soldiers to rescue the people are distracted by those they are to save.

The church has lost her focus. There is no pride in degrees. Our boasting should be on all the Lord has done. Don't be ignorant of the devil's devices of distractions.

Who do you say that He is? It is not of your deduction or perception, of the Lord who ALONE reveals Himself more and more to His Sons and Daughters, the His Spirit who lives in everyone born again interprets.

The creation earnestly waits for the manifestation of the Sons and Daughters of God, so give them that hope (ref.: Romans 8:19).

God bless you.

Who Do You Say That He Is?

Have you heard of the story where six blind men gave different perceptions of what an elephant is? If you haven’t, let me give a summary.

The first felt the tail and said it was a long rope. The second felt the body and said it was a wall. The third held the ear and said it was a big fan. The fourth felt the leg and said it was a tree. The fifth felt the tusk and said it was a spear. And the sixth felt the trunk and said it was a snake.

The moral of the story is that no matter what they perceived, it never changed what the elephant was.

There is the truth of a thing, and there is the perception of that thing. And this is where we all need to be careful. Our perception of a thing may fall in line with the truth, and then again it could fall outside the truth. And whatever we perceive, we consider as the truth.

Jesus asked His disciples who people said that He was. After all answers they gave, Jesus then asked them, "But who do you say that I am?" This question was very important because this would show who they perceived Jesus to be.

If they perceived Him as just a teacher it would reflect in their relationship with Him. If they perceived Him as a false prophet, it would reflect in their relationship with Him. But if they perceived Him as "the Christ, the Son of the living God", it would reflect on their relationship with Him, and the last answer was the answer Peter gave Jesus (ref.: Matthew 16:13-17; Mark 8:27-30; Luke 9:18-20).

Jesus on the other hand told Peter that the answer didn't come from his thinking, but it was His Father who revealed that to Him. What does that tell us? It means that the truth of who Jesus truly is can only come from Himself, through revelation by the Holy Spirit.

We cannot know Jesus of our self but by the divine revelation through the Holy Spirit. So, when we are born again, we must sit at the Lord's feet to receive from Him.

Our perception of who Christ Jesus is would determine how we speak to people about Him. How we expect Him to treat us. As we have noticed, there are several perceptions of who Jesus is, especially who He is to us as Sons and Daughters of God.

The reason for all these is that many have mixed their understanding with the truth, and that isn't a divine revelation from the Holy Spirit.

There is no end in love for us, (ref.: Romans 8:35, 38&39). We are to ask Him to reveal Himself to us as we go through His word, rather than using our understanding which would lead to a wrong perception of who He is. Only the Spirit of Jesus (i.e. the Holy Spirit), can reveal this to us.

So, who do you say that He is? Meditate on His word and ask Him to reveal Himself to you, and He will.

God bless you.

The Unlimited

What do you think happens to you when you become born again? Let's take a look a Ephesians 1:19-20. It says, "I pray that you will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to you through faith. Then your lives will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through you! This is the mighty power ²⁰that was released when God raised Christ from the dead and exalted him to the place of highest honor and supreme authority in the heavenly realm!" TPT.

These verses made it clear that the immeasurable power of God has been made available to us. This was done at the resurrection of Christ Jesus.

Now, the verses say we gain access to this immeasurable power by faith! Like, that's it?

As Sons and Daughters of God, God has released His unlimited power by faith in the authority of the name of Jesus. Faith then is the belief in all that God offered the world. And what He offered us is Jesus.

Now, the moment we became born again, we received the fullness of Christ Jesus as our life. He became our nature. I'm sure all these sound like elementary knowledge for any Son or Daughter of God reading. However, this isn't why I'm really taking you down these foundation classes. It is calling your attention to what you have received for it to reflect in your day-to-day actions.

To release this unlimited authority is by knowing that is all of Jesus and nothing of you. But sadly we keep referring ourselves to the life that has been crucified with Christ Jesus on the cross.

The more we remind ourselves that any time we meditate on the word of God, we are to meditate on Jesus who is now our life. So, as we Jesus raise someone from the dead, we are to put ourselves as the one who raised the person from the dead. The same should be done in the opening of the blind eyes, the feeding of the 5,000, and others. With this we allow the nature of Christ Jesus to become reflected as natural for us.

So, what is that condition you're going through, remember fulness of Christ Jesus lives on the inside of you. Speak to that condition and command it to leave. The reason why it would leave is because the condition saw Jesus and not you. And it is because you released the unlimited authority of Jesus by faith.

The only person who limits the authority of Jesus is ourselves. I can never stop emphasising the importance of meditation on the word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit. Also, know that the Jesus we study and meditate on has now become our life, and no one else.

So, release the unlimited power of Christ Jesus now.

What Exactly is Prayer?

There is so much noise about prayer. The popular 1 Thessalonians 5:17 which says, "pray without ceasing" is always the basis of the emphasis on prayer.

Yes, prayer is important, but a proper understanding of what prayer is is very important. This understanding would allow us to know how we are to pray. And the noise of prayer would be channelled properly.

Prayer is a relationship, just as a Father and his Son sit to talk. Prayer as I have said in a previous write-up is a dialogue. Just as you speak, allow the Lord to speak. But many times I've seen some Sons and Daughters talk too much, and at the end of the day, they don't get anything from God, just because they didn't listen. And they lacked one key ingredient, which is communion.

To pray without ceasing implies, we are to commune with the Father at every point in time.

The "making out time to pray" isn't what 1 Thessalonians 5:17 refers to. The reason is that as Sons and Daughters of God, we become prayer, as prayer is communion and our way of living.

1 Corinthians 3:16 says, "Don’t you realize that together you have become God’s inner sanctuary and that the Spirit of God makes his permanent home in you?" TPT. You are always in His presence because he dwells in you.

In the layman's understanding, prayer is when we ask things from God. But as Sons and Daughters of God, we do not "pray" (from the layman's point). Prayer expresses faith based on who we are in Christ Jesus. It is a place where we sit to receive and to release. And this was what Jesus did whenever He was here on earth.

Now, we understand that Jesus is our perfection. And being Sons and Daughters of God we are to commune with Him where we sit to receive more of who we are [in Him] to release His life as our way of living.

The reason is that we are to be conscious of His purpose for us here on earth, and His leading through the Holy Spirit.

This means there should be no separation in your actions and His thoughts towards you, which you have keyed into through the constant communion with Him known as prayer.

Thus, our lives express Him here on earth, for we are one in Spirit. So, prayer is the flowing in His thoughts at every point in time, showing that He knows our thoughts and as we ask, He leads, shows, and guides us wherever He wants to.

It is an ever-present state of our existence through relationship and communion with Him. It is not a realm we need to enter because we are always in that realm, as long as we are born again.

God bless you and have a blessed day.
