Yesterday, I explained how perceptions have become the deciding factor over how we view things. Bringing the story of the six blind men who touched an elephant to give their perceptions on what felt individually. No matter what they perceived, whether it was in line with what the elephant truly was or wasn't, it didn't change what the elephant was.
I then made it clear that Jesus doesn't want us to perceive Him using our ways of thinking. If that happens, we will arrive at different perceptions that are far from the truth. And remember, our perception is what we take as the truth even if it isn't.
Jesus also made it clear our perception of Him, comes from Him rather than us using our senses to arrive at conflicting understanding of who He is.
Sadly, today we see diversity in the body of Christ. The reason is simple, human perception of who Christ is.
Jesus told Peter when he said that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, that the revelation came from His Father. The revelation of Christ comes from Christ Himself. And it is not in our place to interpret, because that is the job of the Holy Spirit, who interprets the revelation we receive from Christ.
Jesus told His disciples that they should not go into the world until the Holy Spirit had come upon them. The reason was and still is simple, and that is to prevent different human perceptions of the purpose of Christ's coming.
But what we have today is that the world has crept into the church making the church lose her focus.
1 Corinthians 1:26-31 says, "²⁶ Brothers and sisters, consider who you were when God called you to salvation. Not many of you were wise scholars by human standards, nor were many of you in positions of power. Not many of you were considered the elite when you answered God’s call. ²⁷ But God chose those whom the world considers foolish to shame those who think they are wise, and God chose the puny and powerless to shame the high and mighty. ²⁸ He chose the lowly, the laughable in the world’s eyes—nobodies—so that he would shame the somebodies. For he chose what is regarded as insignificant in order to supersede what is regarded as prominent, ²⁹ so that there would be no place for prideful boasting in God’s presence. ³⁰ For it is not from man that we draw our life but from God as we are being joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. And now he is our God-given wisdom, our virtue, our holiness, and our redemption. ³¹ And this fulfills what is written: If anyone boasts, let him only boast in all that the Lord has done!" TPT.
God chose those whom the world considered as nobodies, or unwise to shame the so-called wise and those who claim they have power. Why? Look at verse 29, which says, "so that there would be no place for prideful boasting in God’s presence." TPT. This is the issue we have in this world.
Verse 30 also says, "For it is not from man that we draw our life but from God as we are being joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. And now he is our God-given wisdom, our virtue, our holiness, and our redemption." TPT.
It is clear in verse 30 that it is not in man that we draw our life but from God, because the moment we become born again, we are joined to Jesus who is NOW OUR WISDOM! I cannot over-emphasise this.
Even Apostle Paul with all his studies counted all as dung, why? For the wisdom we seek is found in Jesus alone. And when the church submits to her first love, then we see ourselves becoming one again, because we then become humble to receive from Him. It is no longer our perception, but His perception, and the interpretation by the Holy Spirit.
Until this is done, the future of the world is at stake, because the world is headed for destruction, but the soldiers to rescue the people are distracted by those they are to save.
The church has lost her focus. There is no pride in degrees. Our boasting should be on all the Lord has done. Don't be ignorant of the devil's devices of distractions.
Who do you say that He is? It is not of your deduction or perception, of the Lord who ALONE reveals Himself more and more to His Sons and Daughters, the His Spirit who lives in everyone born again interprets.
The creation earnestly waits for the manifestation of the Sons and Daughters of God, so give them that hope (ref.: Romans 8:19).
God bless you.
Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t? Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
