Still Tired After The Required Amount of Sleep?

It is a normal and natural cause for every human to sleep. Sleep is likened to the way a battery is recharged for another task.

But have you ever noticed the time you had the required hours of sleep, but it seemed as though you didn't sleep enough?

According to psychological findings, the simple truth to this matter is that you had thoughts on your mind before you slept, and these thoughts affected your sleep and your body.

Worries are things that could stay on a person's mind before sleeping.

Psalms 127:2 says, "It really is senseless to work so hard from early morning till late at night, toiling to make a living for fear of not having enough. God can provide for his devoted lovers even while they sleep!" TPT.

When I saw this verse, I was humbled because the natural way of man is to rise very early in the morning and work hard till late at night, not just for anything, but because of the fear of not having enough.

Just be honest with yourself, is this not the major reason why you wake up very early and work till late at night?

King Solomon who wrote that 127th chapter of Psalm wasn't disputing the fact that waking up early is wrong. What he was disputing is the reason for this action.

To have what I call the 'scarcity' mindset is to say God has kept you as orphans. But this goes against His words in Hebrews 13:5 which say He will never leave us nor forsake us.

God didn't bring us to this world to suffer but to enjoy His abundance through His leading, which we can only tap into through faith and trust in Him.

King Solomon further said in Psalms 127:2, "God can provide for His devoted lovers even while they sleep!" TPT. Shouldn't this be a slap on your face for how loving God is, that the wisest man who ever lived is bringing our attention to the love and grace of God?

Again the writer of Hebrews said in Hebrews 13:5, "Don’t be obsessed with money but live content with what you have, for you always have God’s presence. For hasn’t he promised you, “I will never leave you, never! And I will not loosen my grip on your life!” TPT.

So, how do we live the God's kind of life?

Be humble and listen to Him, it is that simple, (ref.: 1 Peter 5:6-7).

If this is still confusing to you, then meditate on His word day and night. It is in His words that we find revelation (what our purpose is here on earth), (ref. Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:1-3). And praise be to God, anyone born of God or born again has the Holy Spirit who directs our every path, telling us how to go about our purpose in life, (ref. Psalm 119:105).

By following the leading of the Spirit, we then find out that we cover more grounds in fulfilling our true purpose in life, and we have sound sleep (ref. Romans 12:2).

To not listen to Him is to remain on the way that wasn't profitable (ref. John 3:18). So, the choice is yours.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t? Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
