Why You Shouldn't Grow Up?

You know, I stayed with my sister for a certain period in my life. She has three awesome kids, and one thing I observed was that when the kids were hungry, they cried to their mum, they were hungry and she gave them food, or when it was time for breakfast, lunch or dinner, she called them that it was time to eat.

When she saw they had out grown their clothes, she changed them without them needing to tell her. When they go to school and get homework, they are confident that someone at home would explain it to them to make it easier for them.

My sister's children never had to worry about anything. You know by remembering those days, the words of Jesus suddenly made more sense to me in Matthew 18:3, which says, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven."

What Jesus was saying is that we need to change our way of thinking to that of a child. But what exactly does this mean?

The question should be, how does a child think?

Children have complete trust in their parents or guardian, as the case may be. They don't worry about what to eat or what to drink. They don't worry about what to wear.

What Jesus meant in Matthew 18:3 was that we shouldn't grow up. As children we learnt to have complete trust in our parents, how to be rest assured that they always got your back, how to have peace of mind that your needs in whatever form is settled by them.

Having this lifestyle was a sort of training ground to graduate how to move your complete rest on your parents to complete rest on Jesus! But sadly we've always done the opposite. We've moved from having complete rest on our parents to becoming "orphans".

Jesus had earlier taught this that our heavenly Father knows all what we need even before we ask of Him. Which was why Jesus said why do you worry about what to eat or drink, or what to wear, because He expect us to remember how we used to have these things sorted out by our parents, and in so doing should have that same rest on God (ref.: Matthew 6:25-34).

By trying to do things yourself in the name of being "independent" brings nothing but worry, pressure, health issues and more.

Just stop for a moment and think this through.

Have you done that?

Everything you worry about were the things your parents used to get done for you or assist you in doing while you were a kid. The only difference is just that they are bigger now due to responsibilities and age. So, why not be a child again and rest on God/Jesus, He is always there to get things done. And this is what Jesus meant in having a child's heart, it was having complete dependence and guide from God and not doing that is the stumbling block in entering the kingdom of heaven.

Just quickly, the mistake we make is the same mistake the prodigal son made, thinking he was of age, and could sort things by himself, by being independent, not till it dawned on him the bills he had to always pay, the serious worry and health challenge he kept on having, and remembered being a child was better. And just like his father showed love to him, God our Father shows even more love to us when we come home and be a child again.

Remember, the house you lived was a shadow of things to come when you would grow up and live as a child of God and let Him continue from where your parents stopped.

You were not born to hustle as some has taken that to be a norm of life. You were born to be a child taken care by God. So, don't grow up.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

You're The Best Jesus Has To Offer

You must have heard of a planning team preparing for an event say something like, "It's either him or nobody", or maybe an investor says, "It's either that company or non".

Things like these are said to show the level of value, trust, and confidence placed on a person to get a job done perfectly, or a thing that would

yield the required result. The same was done when God gave His only begotten Son to die for our sins. What God was saying was, "It's either Him or no one else". That's to show you the level of trust God had in Jesus, but why was that so? It was so because Jesus was the express image of God.

Jesus was God in the human body and Spirit, this was why Jesus told Philip in John 14:9, he who has seen me has seen the Father.

For God to pick a person, means you are perfect and excellent in getting the job done, and Jesus demonstrated that while here on earth. And because of that God raised Jesus and placed Him at His right hand, giving Him a name above all other names, (ref.: Philippians 2:9-11).

Jesus represents a new beginning, which is why He is the last Adam. And anyone who is born of Him (born again) carries His Spirit and is just as He is. Colossians 1:13 says, "He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love."

Now, because we carry the same Spirit of Christ Jesus, we are the best Jesus has to offer. God was confident in Jesus because to offer Jesus was to offer Himself (God). Likewise, those who are born of Christ need to understand that Jesus has so much confidence in us that we are the best He can offer because we carry His Spirit, it is just like Himself being offered.

When you know how a person has so much confidence in you, it brings so much confidence and drive to push forward in all that Christ has ordained us to do.

As you go out, remind yourself, you're the best Jesus has to offer. Challenges may come, and you may want to give in, just remember, you are the best Jesus has to offer. By doing this your confidence is alive in Him, as you rest in Him in all you do.

Remember, you're the best Jesus has to offer.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t? Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

Commitment and Consistency

Blessings are awesome. I wrote about blessings and gratitude in my last two blogs, and how God has blessed us, and how we should always be grateful to Him in all circumstances. I also wrote about how we should bless the things God has given us in appreciation and complete rest on what He has given us. We are to use His words to bless everything around us because it keeps us in check on being focus on Christ alone, which is a form of meditation on the word of God and gratitude to God.

Today's write-up would be on His blessings but it has to do with God's blessings through revelation.

Everyone who has become born again has received the Spirit of God, the very same same of Christ Jesus, which in turn is the very same Spirit of God Himself. And this is why we have the mind of Christ, (ref.: 1 Corinthians 2:6).

The mind of Christ that we have received is in our spirit, but is released from time to time into our soul based on the plans of God for our lives, and it comes as revelation to us. As we meditate on the word of God, we could also receive a release of His plans within His mind to us through revelation.

Whatever we receive from God is by faith, which is why we are to walk by faith and not by sight, (ref.: 2 Corinthians 5:7).

So, where am I going in all these?

The blessings of God are to be utilised for God's purpose in our lives, and still by faith.

To utilise the blessings or revelation of God needs commitment. Why am I saying this? Many of us receive blessings from God, but feel we are to do nothing. Now, we shouldn't mix doing things as using our human understanding. What we are to do is to properly understand His will for the plan. John the Baptist understood the will of God for his life, so he was led by the Spirit to begin his ministry to prepare the way for the coming of the Messiah —Jesus. Jesus was also led by the Spirit to do things He did, so we're His Apostles. This is important because the scripture says in Romans 8:14, "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God." We must be led by God when we receive the revelation/blessings of the Lord. We shouldn't be so excited that we go ahead and use our human knowledge in carrying things out, rather we must be led by the Spirit.

To be committed is to begin a thing, it also means you've made up your mind on where to go, and to go about it, it means to move. The major thing in this matter is that you MUST be led by the Holy Spirit of Jesus in whatever you do. This is the first phase in utilising the blessings and revelation received from the mind of Christ.

The second phase is consistency. To be consistent means continuity, progress. As we know, commitment means to start, to move, to establish. But consistency would ensure that your movement is continuous. It is that push that is needed, it is the drive that enables what was committed not to be a waste of time.

Now, if John the Baptist gave up along the way, it implies he was consistent to a point. If Jesus did nothing after His baptism, then He wasn't consistent, and we wouldn't be saved. But this is not the only part we should be mindful of. We should be mindful of the wiles of the devil.

The devil brings distractions and deceit. He sways one away from he or she was committed to do. One could receive a word from God to hold on to His word over a health issue that He has already healed him or her. As the person keeps on declaring the word of God over his or her health, reminding his or her body that he is healed, the manifestation has started taking place. The continuity is called consistency, and remember the word of the Lord is truth and life, living and active. But what does the devil do? He could come and say there is not sign of improvement or change, and if the person is not well equipped with the word of God, he or she may fall victim of the deceit of the devil.

To start and to stop, then start and stop again, over and over is a lack of consistency. The person may not change his or her mind in doing what the Lord God said, but to distracted due to the wiles of the devil through fear, worry, doubt and unbelief, consistency is lacked, and if nothing is done about it, commitment could end also.

A famous actor once said, "Without commitment, you'll never start. But more importantly, without consistency, you'll never finish." We are in a race. What gives the drive to be committed and consistent is the fact that it came from God, and God NEVER lies. He is TRUTH personified, and should never forget that.

Without commitment and consistency you can never get anything done, which includes the things of God.

Blessings and Gratitude (Part 2)

Hi everyone,

I wrote on the part 1 of Blessings and Gratitude where I said despite being blessed by God with all spiritual blessings, what seems to stand in our way from receiving these blessings are fear, worry, doubt and unbelief prevents us from

right receiving, because they cause wrong believing, and we don't see the fulness of Christ [which contains the blessings of God] manifest in our lives properly. But as we are always grateful to God for what He has given to us, we receive more strength of faith as our focus in our Christ, and in so doing we start receiving much better than before, and we would see the fulness of Christ with the blessings made manifested in our lives.

Today, I want to take a look at what we do when we are blessed. As we receive the blessings of God, whether in health, wealth, fruit of the Spirit, physical prosperity, we sometimes complain over certain circumstances, maybe, some things don't go as we expect. What we don't know is that our complains open the door for us to be deceived by the devil, as he could tell we are not healed, when we are healed (using health as an instance).

But what should we do instead of complaining?

In place of complaining, start blessing! For everything God has given you, bless it. Speak the word of God's blessings to it, from your health, to TV, car, kids, spouse, house, chair, just anything. When you get a thing, bless it for its arrival. When it keeps functioning, bless it because its functioning, when it has seen better days, bless it, because it served you well. When it's your health, speak the blessing of life to it. Speak God's word over everything, because God's word is life, and He has given you Himself, so as you speak, let Him come out of your mouth, because His words are blessings, and blessing is life.

By blessing things, you are being grateful to God for what He has given you and you are holding on to His word in Hebrews 13:5, which says, "Let  your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” The Amplified version says, "Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] [Josh. 1:5.]" Hebrews 13:5 AMPC.

The Lord will never leave you, will never fail you, will never leave you without support. To declare blessings to the things God has given you, which is basically everything that has a connection to you, is being grateful to God. It is a way to release the supernatural into your life; the fulness of God being released physically into your life, because your soul has found its rest in Christ Jesus, and the lies of the devil cannot hold any longer.

Never fail to give to be a blessing, and never fail to always be grateful to God, and see Him manifest in your life in all you do.

Blessings and Gratitude (Part 1)

Everyone loves to be blessed, this is because blessings as a whole are positive. Blessings indicates favour, increase, protection, prosperity, success and growth. Blessings are always longed for, but the blessings of God are over longed for.

Looking at blessings, it indicates life, because all the attributes of blessings cannot exist if life isn't within them, and Jesus is the Life, (ref. John 14:6).

Every Son and Daughter of God has received the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ which implies that our words should be seasoned with salt, (ref. Colossians 4:6), full of Grace and blessing.

As we have been blessed of the Lord, one thing that is paramount is gratitude, being grateful to God for His provision. This way we are showing our appreciation to God for always being there for us. Our intention for being grateful to God shouldn't be to get more. However, the act of being grateful to God causes doors to open in the receiving of more of His blessing which He has already bestowed on us.

We cannot be given more blessings, but we can receive more blessings, allow me to explain. Ephesians 1:3 says, God has blessed us with every spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. What this means is that just the way we have been saved by grace, received a brand new life by grace, and all that Christ Jesus is, is who we have become by grace because we now have His Spirit, which implies that the highest form of blessings that is contained in the fulness of Christ had been given to us the moment we became born again. This is part of the package of being born again.

All that we would ever need in this life and beyond has been given to us. All we need to do is to receive it by faith. But because our soul is still being renewed, we haven't been able to harness the full potential of the fulness of Christ in the physical realm, and this is because of fear, worry, unbelief, and doubt. And to crown it all up, our soul has not found complete rest in its entirety in Christ. So, we cannot receive properly because we have limited ourselves with these interruptions.

But as we continue to be grateful for what God has given to us in Christ Jesus, both seen and unseen, we are building and boosting our faith in Him, and finding rest in Him, and in so doing, we allow more flow of the blessings God has already given us, thus we are receiving better.

And remember, we must always be grateful to the Lord God for His blessings.

The Response Of Mary

We've often read of the story of Mary when angel Gabriel brought the goodnews that she who was a virgin would bear Jesus. One thing in that story that struck me was her final response to the angel. She said in Luke 1:38, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.”

Angel Gabriel had appeared 6 months earlier to Zacharias the priest telling him his wife would conceive of his child that would be born. Zacharias doubted because it felt illogical by human understanding and theories. The points Zacharias most likely held were that his wife was barren, and to crown it up, she was advanced in age, meaning she had passed the child bearing stage of life.

Mary on the hand was surprised that she a virgin would conceive without a man, but she didn't doubt.

The first amazing thing Mary did was to say, "Behold the maidservant of the Lord!" This is a sign of submission which is in line Romans 12:1 which emphasises Sons and Daughters of God to become living sacrifices to the Lord. This is a sign of humility, and God can only use the humble.

The second amazing thing Mary did was her statement after the first one, which is, "Let it be to me ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD." Not her words, not her understanding, not her theories, but according to His word.

Mary most likely couldn't understand how a virgin could conceive, but rather than doubting or analysing the message from the angel of the Lord, she submitted herself because the message came from God Almighty.

The only thing we need to analyse is to know if messages or leading are from God, and not dissecting the message and using our human understanding to analyse the messages one after the other, because you would eventually open the door to doubt, unbelief, worry and fear.

God Almighty always bring evidences to prove whatever He sends to us are from Him. Whatever He sends ALWAYS glorify Him and Him alone, just as angel Gabriel told Mary that her cousin, Elizabeth was pregnant with a child, her cousin was the one who was called barren. God's messages or word comes with power and authority, like the signs when Jesus was baptised, and the signs when He was crucified, or the sign of His fire consuming the sacrifice of Elijah. Or signs as Peter and John who were once timid men now speaking with boldness that astounded the council in Acts 4:13, and they realised that they had been with Jesus.

God's messages comes with evidences, and they are ALWAYS backed by His word, as they give Glory to Him and Him alone. What the devil asked Jesus to do in Matthew 4:5-6 wasn't giving Glory to God, but for Jesus taking pride in Himself which isn't giving Glory to God. These are the signs we are to look out for. And the moment you have tested the Spirit, that's by knowing where the message come from, and it says "from God", be as Mary by saying, "Be it unto me according to your word."

The reason why this is so important is that God's word in many ways cannot be comprehended with human intellect. So, since you've tested the Spirit, and you know it's from God, just receive it.

If the word says you're healed, your reply should be, "be it unto me according to your word", or any other thing God sends you, your reply should be "be it unto me according to your word". Our minds can be a huge hindrance from allowing the glory of God be made manifested in our lives.

Remember, it's what He said, and not what we say.

Stewardship Is A Time Of Rejoicing

The Grace of the Lord is upon anyone who walks with Him, because to walk with the Lord is to flow in His might; it is to know how He reasons. Enoch walked with God and understood how God reasons.

To be a steward is to submit to whatever the owner (God) leads you to. It is not an enslavement but a choice. It is a choice that brings times upon times of rejoicing.

Isaiah 60:1 says, "ARISE [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you–rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!" AMPC

To arise is to leave a state of mind or to leave a condition or situation for another. When you go about things by yourself, not knowing where to go, because you walk with probabilities and speculations, this isn't walking the path God created for you in Christ Jesus. But the moment you choose to be a steward, having a lifestyle of walking in Grace, you leave a life of depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you, into a life where you shine, being radiant with the glory of the Lord.

Proverbs 4:18 says, "But the lovers of God walk on the highway of light, and their way shines brighter and brighter until they bring forth the perfect day." TPT. To shine is to manifest the glory of God who is your nature and whom you're representing as a steward. As you keep on walking with God, the fulness of Christ is being manifested and activated in all you do more and more till you reach full manner and stature of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

It is a time of rejoicing. Apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:4, "Be cheerful with joyous celebration in every season of life. Let joy overflow, for you are united with the Anointed One !" TPT. It can only be in Christ that you can have a life of rejoicing. All that He is and owns has He given to you. PRAISE JESUS!

Anointing Flows Through Stewardship

Hi everyone, still on Stewardship.

Everyone or everything created has a purpose, and this purpose should be fulfilled because it is in line with the design given.

For Sons and Daughters God, we express Christ who is God in all we do. The word of God says we have been crucified, which means we died (the old spirit), it also says the life we live is by the Faith of the Son of God—Jesus, which implies when we died, we went down, but this same body that went down arose with another person inside the body. The person that went down, stayed down and was gone forever.

The person who arose as I said is a new person, who is Jesus. This is why Apostle Paul said "I live by the of the Son of God" meaning the body now trusts and relies on the new guy who is in charge and now owns the body—Jesus Christ.

As Christ Jesus is now in charge of our bodies (referring to those born again), the Spirit of Christ aligns us to who we are created to be, which is our chief purpose. And as a cell or tissue in the human body system, it has one purpose, which is the United purpose governed by the head of the body. Likewise, Jesus is the head of the body (church). We work together, in so doing we function as stewards, thus functioning within the capacity we were designed or created to be.

Now, since we all function in one Spirit, it implies that the same anointing that functions at the God head is the exact and same power that function in every single "body" of Christ [the church individually speaking], in line the function we were designed to be. In other words, the fulness of Christ is seen in every Son or Daughter of God being a steward.

Being obedient to God as a steward, we see the exact power of God flow into the life of a sick or dead person as we lay hands on the them. The power of God which is the authority Jesus has as the highest name above every other name raise the dead, heal the sick, give sight to the blind, and so on. It is Jesus who does all these things, and not us. All we are to do is to align ourselves to who we were created to be. We are just to represent Christ here and the rest is left to Him as His anointing flows through us.

It is amazing how Christ Himself is seen in all we do by just being His steward. Allow Him to flow through you today.

Stewardship

Happy new week everyone,

Stewardship! It's a Job, and that is what God gave man when He created him. Stewardship is the job of supervising or taking care of something, such as an organisation or property.

So, let me explain something. Man didn't create

anything when he was created. He met a completely created and perfect world when he was created, (ref.: Genesis 1:26-28). He was just given the key to manage the earth, period, which is Stewardship, (ref.: Genesis 2:15). But we see people craving things, begging God for things. I'm not saying asking God for situations to be settled is wrong, but when you getting the understanding that everything including yourself belongs to God, (ref.: 1 Corinthians 3:21, 23), it allows you to know how to submit to God, and be led by the Holy Spirit.

So, to be a steward is to follow a list of assignments given by the owner in order to properly manage what has been put in your care. And of course you would be properly taken care of, because even though you are His steward, you either His Son or Daughter, and He so loves you as Himself, (ref.: Matthew 6:33; Roman 8:14-16).

You are to ask the Lord what He wants you to do because you were created for an assignment, (ref.: Luke 11:9-13; James 1:5). The Lord God would then release what He has called you to do through the word of God (ref.: 1 Peter 3:12; 1 John 5:15). He ensures He gives certain signs of affirmation, and being a Son or Daughter of God, having the Spirit of Jesus in you, there is this conviction of the Holy Spirit in you, in line with the word of God to confirm what God wants you to do. And the Holy Spirit shows you the road map on what to do, and how to do it (ref.: Psalm 119:105). If there is anything that appears difficult, let Him know, and He would show you how to go about it.

Remember, nothing belongs to you, everything belongs to God. By being conscious of this, glorifying God comes first to your mind.

There is struggle in your life when you choose to do things by yourself because to do that you are already going outside outside assignment God gave you, and you feel the things you see belong to you, and you crave more, this is the sinful nature, and where we miss the mark, because we are not living the life God created us to be. So, it is sort like a sort of malfunction.

We all have been called into Stewardship. When you see your life as all things belongs to God, you allow humility to flow through you, and God uses those who are humble. Know your calling today, the new year comes with a lot of anxieties as we just want to achieve with having the original blue print from God. Know what He called you to do, and don't forget, you are His Steward, you all the stress leaves you because you believe He has paved the perfect way for your life.

Stewards

HAPPY, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Wow, it's a brand new year, fresh out of the oven, a breath of fresh air right? Everyone is ready to dig into the year, ensuring that their goals and aspirations are achieved this new. One question I would ask is, how would you put so much effort into things and later find out that you were doing the wrong thing all the while, and you're in the month of June? Yeah, you don't need to tell.

In my last write-up, which was the last on the last day of the year 2021, [well on the side of the world when I posted it], my focus was knowing what God has asked you to do, and in doing that, giving God glory should be the foundation of our actions.

Still in line with that, one thing we need to have at the back of our mind is that we are all stewards of the Lord God Almighty.

So, who are stewards?

A Steward is a person who has been appointed to look after a thing or set of property belonging to a person. In other words, the person manages whatever has been assigned to him or her. Now, as it relates to God, a steward of the Lord is a person who utilises and manages all the resources God provides for the glory of God and the betterment of His creation.

Everything we have been given belongs to God, we are to manage what has been given to us through the leading of the Holy Spirit. So, we should have it at the back of our minds, that wherever or whatever we have been told to do belongs to God, and we are appointed as stewards to utilise and manage it to the glory of God.

As we begin the new year, God should be our focus. And now that we have the Spirit of Jesus, we can be led by the Holy Spirit in achieving what He has called us to do this year, and as we follow Him, we see God being glorified, and our needs being met.

Do have a remarkable and prosperous new year filled and guided by His Grace.
