Your Desire And His Delight

Happy New Week everyone,

Yesterday, my focus was on trust and how hard it to find someone who is trustworthy. God/Jesus throughout the scriptures and in our daily lives have proven to us that He is a person you can always trust at all times. So as we trust in Him, we would then be able to feed on His faithfulness and be fed. So, how does our trusting in Him really affect our being fed? Psalms 37:4 answers that question.

Psalms 37:4 says, “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.” AMP. Verse 3 talks about trust, which makes you dwell on His faithfulness, which in turn you get fed. And verse 4 says we should delight in the Lord and He would give us the desires of our hearts. First things first, you cannot delight yourself in a person whom you don’t trust. We need to properly trust in Him, and then experience His faithfulness first hand, this is what allows us to then delight in Him, and then how do we delight in Him?

Hebrews 4:12 speaks of the word of God being the discerner of the thoughts and intents of our hearts. When we get to know who Jesus is by study who He is, His presence, being so pure cleanses our hearts and we reason in purity, as He is, thus our delight in always about Him, because we have come to trust Him and experience His faithfulness. In doing so, we see the desires of our hearts manifest. The desires of our hearts become that which is not selfish, but that which allows us to give glory and praise back to Him, because, when we got to know Him more, He cleansed our heart, by allowing His fullness which we received when we became born-again manifest in our mind, will, and emotions, which is our soul, and with that we see Him manifest in our body, as you are now the righteousness of God, (2 Corinthians 5:21). This is a great experience which God Himself has destined for all of us, it is left to you to receive it or reject it. The choice is yours.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
