Our Righteousness and Justice In The Light

Hi everyone,

Yesterday, I wrote on why commitment and trust is key, which has to do with getting the desires of your heart. But one we must know is that we don’t serve a God who just gives the desires of our heart because we were committed to Him and put our trust in Him, no; we serve a God who takes good care of us as His children, of which we actually are His children. When we put our lives in the hands of God, we allow the best come to us, because it is always the best God offers. Psalm 37:6 says, “He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.”

Now, Psalms 37:6 says, the Lord would bring forth our righteousness, but we understand that our righteousness before God is like a filthy rag. So, what righteousness was David referring to? He was referring to God’s righteousness, who is Jesus. Psalms 37:5 talks of us committing our ways to the Lord and trusting also in Him, which would imply giving ourselves to Him. And by giving ourselves to Him we receive His righteousness who becomes our life and lifestyle. So, our life which is righteous, not by our effort, but as a gift is brought forth as the light, and justice as the noonday. This also goes to show that for God to do this implies you are now in right standing with Him.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
