Be Still, GOD Is Control

Hello everyone,

There are times in our lives where we engage in certain projects which would generate profit at the end in the long run. This project of yours is being guided by a person whom you know has been the brain behind every success you’ve ever had, and has never failed to deliver. But it happened that you saw some guys who went into a business you had no idea of and before you knew it started driving porch cars and flaunting their riches here and there. All of a sudden you wish you were like them, thinking about what you are doing is taking a long time. But these guys aren’t clean, still, you envy them, why?

Psalms 37:7 from the Amplified says, “Be still and rest in the Lord; wait for Him and patiently lean yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.” We shouldn’t be impatient by envying people around us who flaunt their riches especially after you being guided by Holy Spirit. God cannot lead you to a dead end. The Bible says, the Lord is our Shepherd, and because of that, we shall not want, (ref.: Psalm 23:1). Just the way the sheep entrust their lives unto the Shepherd, likewise, we should entrust our lives to the Lord, and be patient with Him as He leads us.

The Lord created time for us and knows the perfect time for us to enter in certain blessings. He said He will never leave us nor forsake us, (ref.: Deuteronomy 31:6, 8; Joshua 1:5; Hebrews 13:5) and this is true. King David wrote that, since he was born he has never seen the righteous forsaken, nor beg for bread, (ref.: Psalm 37:25). Walking with the Lord is walking in the path of perfection, where everything manifests at the right and perfect time, not too early and not too late.

Many of the people we envy get what they call prosperity through shady means, and it always comes with a price. But the Lord God Almighty gives us the power to get wealth without any price to pay, but by grace (ref.: Deuteronomy 8:18).

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

Spiritual Examination Is Important

Happy Sunday everyone,

Evaluation is very important in every job anyone undergoes, it helps to let you understand where you were and where you are now, thus showing you your strengths, weaknesses, and progresses made so far. Evaluation is also important in the life of a Son of God, and when I say evaluation, I don’t mean religious self-righteousness appraisal, I mean Spiritual check-up especially in your soul [mind, will, and emotions].

The Amplified Bible puts 2 Corinthians 13:5 thus, “Examine and test and evaluate your own selves to see whether you are holding to your faith and showing the proper fruits of it. Test and prove yourselves [not Christ]. Do you not yourselves realise and know [thoroughly by an ever-increasingly experience] that Jesus Christ is in you-unless you are [counterfeits] disapproved on trial and rejected?” It is important for us to check how far well we are growing, and this has to do with what we have been feeding ourselves with. Meditation on the word of God day and night is very important as it allows us to get transformed into the fullness of Christ given to us, however, our expression of faith is also very important as we are to observe where we still have work to do. This won’t be done physically, but a time we would ask the Holy Spirit for guidance, as He is always there to guide.

The Message Bible puts the same 2 Corinthians 13:5 thus, “Test yourselves to make sure you are solid in the faith. Don’t drift along taking everything for granted. Give yourselves regular checkups.” There are things we do which don’t reflect the image of Christ, but we feel it’s nothing serious, but it is because we are not to take anything for granted. We are to present our bodies to God for continuous cleansing, by being transformed by the renewal of our minds.

As Sons of God, we are expected to see an increased level of Christ in our way of doing things. How much do we trust Jesus and believe in Him and His word; how well is our soul opened to receiving what our Spirit stands for. Anything that tends to slow us down or feed us negatively should be noted and stayed away, and we are to replace that with what makes us grow, this is where the gathering of the church is important as we feed our minds with the word of God. But we should also beware of false teachings which aren’t centred on Jesus alone and not materialism focus camouflaging in the name of Jesus (this is common). That is why examining yourself is important, because you will see yourself growing in Christ if you are in the right gathering.

Escape The Moment You See A Way Out

Happy Weekend everyone,

We face challenges as we walk with God because we are still growing stronger in Christ. We face temptations, some of which we fall for. Sometimes we cry to God over the reason why we keep falling for a specific temptation or temptation as a whole. But 1 Corinthians 10:13 says, “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”

God knows the strength of every one of His children, so He would not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear. But why do we still fall for some temptations sometimes? The answer is still in 1 Corinthians 10:13; even as we are tempted, God always provide a way of escape. What happens is that we either see the way of escape and ignore it or we don’t see the way out because we don’t expect to see a way out, but there is always a way out.

1 Corinthians 10:12 says, “Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.” We are in a battle, there is always a battle, but through the victory of Jesus Christ, a way out is always provided. You cannot boast by thinking you have a steadfast mind and standing firm, therefore no temptation can overtake you? The scripture asks you who think this way to be careful or else you could fall.

We would always be tempted at whatever level we attain in our growth in Christ Jesus, it is God and not you who provides the way of escape. Your job is to recognise the way out and escape!

Focus On The Truth And Nothing Else

Hello everyone,

I looked at a coin, it had a head and a tail, but I noticed I couldn’t see both the head and the tail at the same time. It is the same with life there are just two sides to everything, that’s why the other side is called the opposite. Just the way we have right, the opposite is wrong; man, the opposite is a woman; north, the opposite is south, and so on. My emphasis on this is that our lives are governed by the side we choose in whatever area. We have the ability to change sides, but we cannot pick both at the same time. So, as Sons of God, there is a way God wants us to live, but we are often enticed by the opposite of what God offered us, suggestions to choose the opposite of how God wants us to live comes to us, the choice is then left to us. How then do we know how to identify the right stand with God as we live our daily lives?

Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:8 says, “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble [honest], whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate in these things.” All the attributes underlined are attributes of God. When God speaks we understand that it carries all these attributes, take for instance—truth. Everything God says is true, He doesn’t lie and we can be sure on what He has said.

When a Doctor tells a person that he or she has been diagnosed with cancer and has a certain number of years to live that is not a good report but a bad one. In order to take a stand on this kind of matter, what did God say about this? We understand that by the stripes on Jesus, we were made healed. This is opposing what the doctor said, but it is a good report. Not just does it have a good report, it has virtue and it is a thing that is praiseworthy. This is what we are to meditate on. God doesn’t fill us with optimism, rather He tells us what is, take for instance His Grace through our Lord Jesus Christ, having the fullness of Christ in us, all these are not optimism but the truth.

We are to dwell on what God says, but in a general statement made as we move about, they need to have the attributes stated in Philippians 4:8, they must have virtue and should be a thing that is praiseworthy. When you get any statement which brings down your soul, which brings about worry, they are not from God, because they are not lovely nor are they good reports. When we are conscious of what we listen to or whatever thing our senses pick, this would allow us to channel our focus on the attributes of truth, honesty, justification, purity, love, good report, which are virtuous and are praiseworthy. These are the things we must meditate on and fix our minds on. Any other thing would oppose these attributes.

Your Body Is Important To Your Spirit

Hi everyone,

Still on our body, [following yesterday’s write-up], is very important to God. Some think the body is not important to God since we would drop this body here on earth and pick up a brand new one. But let me give you a surprise, we won’t get any brand new body with the old one, because it is the old one that is transformed into a brand new body (ref.: 1 Thessalonians 4:16), just the way a butterfly metamorphoses into a full-grown butterfly. This implies that we are to take good care of our bodies.

The Amplified Bible puts 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 thus, “Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own, 20 you were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own]. So, then, honour God and bring to Him in your body.” The Holy Spirit dwells in our bodies which is to serve as a sanctuary to the Lord God Almighty. This happened the moment you receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit into your life; this goes to show that the Holy Spirit is meant to be present in our body. And for the Holy Spirit to be present in our body implies He is also very present in our soul: our mind, will and emotions.

Another thing we are to understand about our body, as a Son of God is that God doesn’t dwell in inferior things, which implies that for God to dwell in our body as Holy Spirit, His perfection has taken place in the body, thus no sickness, cancer, depression, immorality acts [which was what led to the verse in the first place], old age, death and others from the first Adam. It is only that which pertains to the finished work of Jesus on the cross, which was established through His resurrection that is meant to dwell in our body.

Do not treat your body anyhow, also do not be over conscious of it, we are to understand that God owns our body and we are to honour Him as we dwell in it. We cannot live however we please. And just as the Message Bible puts verse 20 of 1 Corinthians 6, “The physical part of you is not some piece of property belonging to the spiritual part of you. God owns the whole works. So let people see God in and through your body.”

We are to allow the Holy Spirit to guide us on how we are to treat our body, this is very important. And the truth of the whole matter is that our Spirit, soul and body all belongs to God.

Your Body Should Reflect Your Spiritual Stand

Hi everyone,

Yesterday, I wrote on the Sons of God having the mind of Christ which also implies having the fullness of God in us, and as we submit to the Spirit of Truth/Christ through the meditation of the word, we get transformed and His lifestyle which includes His mind, will, and emotions becomes our mind, will, and emotion, which allows the Spirit way of life, or the fullness of Christ, manifest in our body. My focus today is on the fullness of Christ in our body.

Romans 8:11 says, “And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you.” Many of us believe, it is only when Jesus returns that our bodies would then be transformed, but that doesn’t correspond with Jesus living inside of us. Jesus living inside of us if for the total transformation of our soul which would affect our bodies. Whatever the soul stands on, that is what the body follows. The fullness of Christ has been given to us and is meant to be manifested in our daily lives, but it is only that which our soul allows that gets manifested through our body.

When you want to lay hands on a person to get healing, your Spirit already has the fullness of Christ which contains healing, it is when you believe, which is the job of your soul that is activated in your body when you lay hands on the sick and the fullness of Christ comes straight from the Spirit through the soul, to the body and into the person sick. If the body wasn’t important, why do we get healed when we declare the power of Christ on our body? It is the perfection of Christ that enters into the body and restores the sick person. It is the same when you raise the dead, casting out demons and so on. It is Christ in you who flows through you and enters the recipient.

Our bodies are meant to manifest the life that we carry as long as we believe, which is what our soul must achieve by being transformed daily. In other words, we are not meant to grow old or fall sick, this is because we manifest the life we carry, as Jesus is, so are we here on earth, (ref.: 1 John 4:17).

Romans 8:11 says, if the same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead dwells in you, that same Spirit will also restore to life your mortal bodies. The transformation starts the moment you receive the Holy Spirit, and also because we are no longer under the first Adam. Under the first Adam, we were bound to die. Sickness, old age, wrinkles on the face are all signs of death which we got from the first Adam. But now that we are in life Who is Jesus Christ, we are to manifest His life. The level Christ meets us when He returns is He makes complete, but the transformation won’t start when Jesus returns, it has started, and we are to believe and confess Life to our bodies and see the transformation take place as our soul gets transformed day after day.

HE Is Complete In You

Hello everyone,

Growing up in Christ Jesus is an amazing experience as you are not growing up the way the world is but in a supernatural way. The moment you received Jesus into you, you received His Spirit, in other words, your Spirit was replaced with the new Spirit which is His very Spirit. Yes, you’ve heard this several times, but that’s not where I’m going. As we now know, we are Spirit beings who possess a soul and live in a body. The Spirit was the only part which was changed, which is the most important part of our transformation. It is then left to us to groom our soul where our mind, will, and emotions dwell to conform to the new Spirit, which in turn would affect our body. Thus, the more our soul submit to the Spirit, the more the Spirit gain access to the body by manifesting His presence there. But today, let’s focus a little at the Spirit of Truth we have received, shall we?

1 Corinthians 2:16 says, “For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.” AMP. No one before the coming of Jesus had ever understood the purposes or counsel of God, just as the prophet said, His ways are not our ways, neither are His thoughts our thoughts. But the moment we receive Jesus who is God into us, it was God who we received into us, and as such we have Him living in us, (I don’t think you got that), let me elaborate further.

The Spirit we received as we may think is just occupying the Spiritual space that was there before, but the Spirit we receive is a whole person we received, in other words, we received the Godhead as a whole, His mindset, what His thoughts are, His feelings and purpose, all these in the Spirit. This implies that our Spirit is so loaded that we haven’t even scratched the surface yet in manifesting Him here on earth. Colossians 2:9-10 says, “For in Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the divine nature]. 10 And you are in Him, made full and having come to fullness of life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—and reach full spiritual stature]. And He is the Head of all rule and authority [of every angelic principality and power].” AMP. This is deep, I’m jumping on my seat right now with so much excitement.

We have our own mind which dwells in our soul, but this is very much different from the mind of Christ found in His Spirit. As we walk with Him, we get transformed as our soul starts to submit to Him then His mind starts to become our mind, His will starts to become ours, and His emotions starts to become our emotion, and this affects our body directly as we see His fullness start manifesting in our bodies. This is where the transformation of the last day begins, and not when Jesus comes back alone, the reason for this is because we now have His very existence, we have no life but His. Our bodies start to reflect Him as we live. This is the truth and we must believe to express His presence here on earth.
