Dialogue In Our Communication

Hi everyone,

In every relationship, one thing is very important which is: communication. Now, communication is not complete until there is a response from whom the message is sent, and not a monologue way of discussion, but a dialogue. As Sons of God, communication is very important to us as we are constantly meant to communicate with our Father in heaven. It is this prayer that strengthens us because this is where we get direction on how to live, or what to do in certain areas. As Sons of God, we were sent here for a mission and because of that, we are to constantly commit where we were sent to God and see His glory manifest in that area through us or others or supernaturally, but it was our prayers that caused the power of God to take control in that area.

The first thing we must know is that the true foundation on any and every prayer is Christ Jesus, without Whom we would just be wasting our time or lose focus as a whole. Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy in 1 Timothy 2:1-3 which says, “The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Saviour God wants us to live.” MESSAGE.

We see religious crises here and there in countries and there is no peace. The truth is that many of them are blinded for the passion for doing the wrong thing, and this is because they don’t know Who the Truth is. The world is in trouble and only the Sons and Daughters of God can save the world, and as Paul told Timothy to pray for the rulers and their governments, many have lost focus by not submitting to God who is the One who puts everyone at the seat of power, (Romans 13:1-5). But they are meant to submit to God and many aren’t submitting to God, it is then left to the Sons and Daughters of God to pray for these rulers and their governments to rule well.

One thing we as Sons and Daughters of God should understand is that we shouldn’t just pray without expecting an answer or answers in the form of steps we are to take in getting things done. There is always a duty we are to fulfill in getting things done, so we should always expect an answer and not make our request without getting feedback. God wants a relationship as He dialogues with us and we should be ready to commune with Him.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

What Do You Take More Seriously Than Food?

Hello everyone,

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, I admired how Jesus spoke when He was here on earth. I find His words very powerful and so full of Wisdom (even though He is Wisdom personified). My focus is on His address to His disciples at the well in Samaria where He met the woman who came to fetch. This address was when His disciples came back with food after they went into town to get some food.

The Bible records that Jesus was weary from His long journey and wanted to rest. His disciples had gone to buy food. It was then Jesus met the woman who came to draw water. Jesus ministered to the woman through a normal conversation. It was after the whole discussion His disciples came back and met Him speaking with a woman who was a Samaritan. So John 4:31- says, “Meanwhile, the disciples urged Him saying, Rabbi, eat something. 32 But He assured them, I have food (nourishment) to eat of which you know nothing and have no idea. 33 So the disciples said one to another, Has someone brought Him something to eat?” AMPLIFIED. Now, this is the part which is my focus today in John 4:34-35 which says, “Jesus said to them, My food (nourishment) is to do the will (pleasure) of Him Who sent Me and to accomplish and completely finish His work. 35 Do you not say, it is still four months until harvest time comes? Look! I tell you, raise your eyes and observe the fields and see how they are already white for harvesting.” AMPLIFIED.

Verse 34 wasn’t saying that we shouldn’t eat physical food anymore, rather the lesson Jesus taught His disciples and us is that there is nothing as important as fulfilling the mission God has called us here on earth to fulfil. It should be a food, drink, our number one focus in life, and this was what Jesus achieved when He spoke with the woman. He taught us the importance of seeking first the kingdom of God and nothing else. Jesus showed us that it is even more important than physical food because lives are at stake, people are dying without being saved and this should not be so.

In verse 35 Jesus emphasised the importance of going to harvest immediately because there is no set time to begin because it has already begun. The final harvest is at the second coming of Jesus, but Jesus is telling us that the harvesting starts with us going to harvest because people are being deceived daily and are dying without being saved. For it is the will of God that all should be saved, and it is our duty to ensure that this happens, there is no time to waste. What are you doing for the harvest? Do you know your calling from God? Many feel only those who want to go into ministry are the called, which is quite sad, because the moment you accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, you have been called. But it doesn’t necessarily have to be as those in Ephesians 4:11, it could be in anything [that glorifies Jesus], as long as you are being led by the Holy Spirit. The world needs us, everyone should do their bit to save the world from destruction.

Who Do You Reflect?

Hi everyone,

I said in one of my past write-up’s that how you behave in public or to people often reflects your upbringing, or could reflect the particular home you grew up in, as certain character traits are seen for that to be said. Likewise, as Sons of God we are to reflect who our Father is, and when you walk with the Holy Spirit regularly, you portray the fruit of the Spirit as your way of life, it isn’t some kind of religious way of life which is practiced by the books, but something that is your very nature.

Colossians 3:13 says, “Be gentle and forbearing with one another and, if one has a difference (a grievance or complaint) against another, readily pardoning each other; even as the Lord has [freely] forgiven you, so must you also [forgive].” AMPLIFIED. This is what we want to see in every Son of God and the whole world eventually, but with all these, there is one which is most paramount that should be of great focus that we must attain, and Colossians 3:14 tells us what that is, as it says, “And above all these [put on] love and enfold yourselves with the bond of perfectness [which binds everything together completely in ideal harmony].” Love! That is what it is. Love is the perfection because God is love and He [Christ] is perfect and He dwells in us; He is the One we should always reflect and not ourselves.

As we know, we are growing in the Grace of our Christ Jesus, but we should be conscious to reflect 100% perfection which can only be attained when we have reached the peak of our growth. But the truth is that when we understand that it was 100% love and perfection that was given to us and Christ is love and perfection, and He is our life when we get know this as our very existence, we reflect 100% love and perfection. Others may not see the 100% state, but there is a great change as the soul allows the Spirit more freedom to operate in the body, in our thoughts and mind. When Christ remains our consciousness, we portray His love and perfection. This is deep and we must live Him.

Give Yourself First

Hello everyone,

Giving is one thing I hear a lot at church gathering today. Emphasis is placed on this as though the church is afraid of not having. I hear scriptures being read to the members which sort of compels them to give. Giving is very important as a Son of God, don’t get me wrong, but many people at church gathering are forced to give because areas in the Bible that have to do with fear are read to compel the members to give. But the truth is that many don’t give in love, but in fear or “selfish ambition”, and what is very important for every Son of God to know about giving isn’t explained, and this is what today’s write-up is all about.

In one of my past write-up, I explained that giving is not just about what is being given, but all about the giver. God doesn’t look at what is given first, He looks at the giver’s heart first. Romans 12:1 says, “I beseech you therefore, brethren by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.” Your heart is what defines who you are, where you stand, and the condition of your heart when you are giving. Presenting your body to God is a Spiritual worship to God, and this was what the Macedonians did, (ref.: 2 Corinthians 8:1-5).

2 Corinthians 8:1-2 says, “WE WANT to tell you further, brethren, about the grace (the favour and spiritual blessing) of God which has been evident in the churches of Macedonia [arousing in them the desire to give alms]; 2 For in the midst of an ordeal of severe tribulation, their abundance of joy and their depth of poverty [together] have overflowed in wealth of lavish generosity on their part.” AMPLIFIED. The Macedonians were overflowing with joy when it came to giving, even with their severe poverty, and why was it easy for them to do this? It was easy because they understood what Romans 12:1 says.

2 Corinthians 8:5 continued on the way of life of the Macedonians towards giving, “Nor [was this gift of theirs merely the contribution] that we expected, but first they gave themselves to the Lord and to us [as His agents] by the will of God [entirely disregarding their personal interests, they gave as much as they possibly could, having put themselves at our disposal to be directed by the will of God].”

The very first thing everyone in the church gathering, whether they are saved or not is that giving their hearts first to the Lord is what is important to God. This is what allows you to know how to give because your giving won’t be out of compulsion, but out of love and joy. There won’t be any need for threats to be read in the church, all in the name of giving, rather Romans 12:1 should be read, the testimony of the Macedonians should also be read. And one more thing, it is not your giving that allows God to bless you under the dispensation of Christ resurrection (write-up for another day).

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Like A Tree Planted By The Rivers...

Happy New Week everyone,

We talk about trust in the Lord and how important it is to Sons of God, but nobody really talks about the challenges we face, the anxieties life brings and why trusting in the Lord could be more difficult than we thought. But the truth is that even with all the challenges we face, God knows about them all and has made provision in solving all the challenges we face, which removes all our anxieties from our lives. The question now is, are you ready to trust Him?

Jeremiah 17:7-8 says, “[Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and hope and confidence the Lord is. 8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit.” If it were possible for God to present His resume, which He has if you think about it when you look into the scriptures, you would see why He is the only One you can put your complete trust in. Sincerely, you don’t put your trust in anyone if they haven’t proven themselves, and God has proven Himself worthy of trust beyond our wildest dreams.

When you face issues of life which causes anxiety, quickly present it to God. Ask Him to help you in your toughest battle and in any battle you face. The reason why it is important to do this is that God handles the troubles as though they were His troubles. And remember there is nothing too hard for Jesus.

As you always place your trust in Jesus, you’ll find out how your life is like a tree planted by the waters that spread out its roots by the river. The tree that has no fear of heat or drought, a tree that never ceases yielding fruits, and its leaves are always green. This is how your life would be because God takes your life as His, and tackles every challenge you face, and there is nothing too hard for Jesus.

Do Not Lose Heart

Happy Sunday everyone,

2 Corinthians 5:7 says, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” In Romans 1:16 Apostle says, he is not ashamed of the gospel of Christ because that is where the power of salvation lies for all who believes. Then he said in verse 17 of Romans 1 “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Living the life of righteousness, which is the life of Christ requires a life of faith and trust in all that God has given us by Grace. But have you been in a situation where you hold on to what God said you received by Grace through faith in Jesus, but hasn’t yet materialised, most likely because the set time for it to materialise physically hasn’t come, and it starts to appear as though you’ve been wasting your time? Yeah, I’ve been there many times, but Galatians 6:9 encourages us saying, “And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.” AMPLIFIED.

In the days that we are in there are so many things that could make you get discouraged and if care isn’t taken, you could be weak and lose hope on that which Christ has promised you. But really we need to understand that should not expect a free life without any attacks from the evil one. Holding on to what God has given you in Christ Jesus is what the evil one doesn’t want you to hold on to, so he does everything to get you discouraged. But God is merciful as we have the Holy Spirit who is our strengthener and comforter, the One who encourages us to keep on keeping on.

Another thing we shouldn’t forget is that as long as God said it, then it is true. Everything God says must come to pass no matter what happens because He said it and He honours His word more than anything. So don’t lose hope, ask the Lord for strength to keep on keeping on, and the Holy Spirit would come as your guide, comfort and strength till God’s word come to pass in your life.

Building Your Most Holy Faith

Happy Weekend everyone,

There are abilities we possess as humans which we never knew we had until there was a need for that thing and we were surprised we possessed such abilities. It is good to discover yourself in order to bring out the best in you. Likewise, as Sons of God having the fullness of God in you, it is important to bring out the righteousness of God or the fullness of Christ without holding back, as our soul is still being transformed. There is a reason why every Son of God should strive to manifest the fullness of Christ, and that is my focus today.

Jude 1:17-19 Message Bible says, “But remember, dear friends, that the apostles of our Master, Jesus Christ, told us this would happen: “In the last days there will be people who don’t take these things seriously anymore. They’ll treat them like a joke, and make a religion of their own whims and lusts.” These are the ones who split churches, thinking only of themselves. There’s nothing to them, no sign of the Spirit!” There are people in these last days who make a mockery of the things of God. They would be everywhere that if care isn’t taken they would cause division among the Sons of God, which implies that they are tricky fellows, and we all need to watch.

But Apostle Jude went ahead in verses 20-21 of Jude 1 which says, “But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the centre of God’s love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ. This is the unending life, the real life!” MESSAGE. Now, knowing that there are people whose intention isn’t godly and are causes of division among Sons of God, Apostle Jude said we should build up our most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, which edifies our Spirit-man, just as Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 14:4 that he who speaks in tongues edifies himself, and this is praying in the Holy Spirit. But what is most important is staying in the love of God, this is what allows us to stay focused and identify anything that is shady and without love. And as the Holy Spirit guides us in the love of Christ we are strengthened as we pray in the Spirit.
