Hello everyone,
I went through Genesis 3 and
something struck me when I read verses 9 to 11 which says, “Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” 10So
he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was
naked; and I hid myself.” 11And He said, “Who told you that you were
naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should
not eat?” This aspect surprised God if I could put it that way, and the
question was why? It was because the statement made by Adam wasn’t what God put
in him when he was created.
It is just like taking your child
for example, if your child uses a fowl word you never taught the child, neither
have you ever used the word yourself, the question you would ask your child is
where he or she got that word from? The same thing was what happened when God
heard Adam say he was afraid and naked, it wasn’t what God taught Adam and his
wife, as He visited them every day in the garden. Therefore, someone else must
have influenced Adam’s language.
Genesis 2:25 says, “And they were both naked, the man and his
wife, and were not ashamed.” Why am I concerned about this? Adam’s nature
changed when he ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, which was
why God asked him if he had eaten from that tree?
The key point to note here is
that our words reflect our nature or our words should reflect our nature. And those
who are in Christ shouldn’t speak as those who aren’t saved, or without
understanding. As Isaiah 33:24 says, “And
no inhabitant [of Zion] will say, I am sick; the people who dwell there will be
forgiven their iniquity and guilt.”
AMPC. That is to say that those who
are born of God aren’t meant to say that they are sick.
No matter what the Doctor or
anyone say to you, if it doesn’t correspond with who you are in Christ then it
is not true. Yes, the physical body would shout what the Doctor says, but one
thing you must understand is that the body only becomes what you tell it. And when
you believe in your heart that you cannot be whatever negative thing the Doctor
said, and it is confirmed in the Word of God, then you need to teach and
confess to your body continuously that the body is healed and made whole in
Christ.
The truth is that as you confess
the Word of God which is the truth to your body, and you believe it in your
heart, you are not just confessing ordinary words, rather, you are confessing
life to your body and this is the truth because it is your true nature.
This doesn’t apply to health
alone, but to every situation, we face in life. We need to know who we are in
Christ which is our true nature, and we shouldn’t just know it, we should
become it, which is who God made you become in Christ Jesus. Do not give up,
just be consistent and ask the Holy Spirit to strengthen you, (ref. Romans
8:26), and you’ll see the physical transformation in your body as you keep on
keeping on.
May the LORD bless
you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you
and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.
Why not accept Jesus
today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus,
I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God
raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank
You for saving me!” Congratulations,
you’re born again, you are now brand new!
