As To The Lord And Not To Man

When you do whatever the Lord asks, you glorify His name. And this also boosts your faith in Him.

Colossians 3:17 says, "And whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus and in [dependence upon] His Person, giving praise to God the Father through Him." AMPC.

Our actions should deliberately focus on Christ Jesus, our guide and captain of our ship.

If we think we do things of our own accord we get stressed out because that is not our job or duty.

Humans or Sons and Daughters of God need a leader to show us what to do and how to go about it. This was why Jesus asked the disciples not to go out to preach until the coming of the Holy Spirit, who is one Spirit with Jesus, and every Son and Daughter of God.

Many times we choose to lead ourselves, when we can't see beyond our noses. But God who made us knows the end from the beginning and has individual purposes for our lives. And to think of it, this saves us a lot of stress. All we are to do is follow His leading.

Whatever we do always have a purpose or a reason. And the Lord is asking us to do things as though we were doing them for Him. Of course, the Holy Spirit is always there to guide us in whatever we do, even when we are stuck. This enables us to live the life of Jesus we have inherited because we are Christ-focused.

There are times we like a show-off, but really, that doesn't portray the life of Christ Jesus we inherited. And of course, we are to get to know who Jesus is more through meditation on His words and the leading of the Holy Spirit. The more we do this, the more we reflect Him, because to know Him is to know ourselves. And as we keep doing that, we effortlessly live His life.

So remember, He should always be on your mind in whatever thing you do, as it is to the Lord and not to man. And the Holy Spirit is always there in our times of trouble, to get us through the mess to a path that leads leads Christ Jesus.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
