Everyone in one way or another needs a miracle, which could be in the form of healing, financial breakthrough, family bonding, marriage intervention, and more. So, many times we pray, or even cry when these issues seem to have gotten out of hand. Well, one may say you can't blame them. But my question which is directed to the Sons and Daughters of God is this, are you doing all these in faith?
Before you jump at me saying I don't understand what they are going through, I understand because I also have had my share of frustrations in life, with tears. But what the Bible says we should live and walk by faith and not by sight, (ref.: Romans 1:17; 2 Corinthians 5:7; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:38).
So, what is my point here?
My point here is that miracles can only be accessed through praise and thanksgiving. When we bring our concerns to the Lord, the Lord God on the other hand reminds us through the scriptures that all our concerns have been answered through the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ. So, our focus won't be on asking, because we are now Sons and Daughters of God, and being a Son or Daughter of God implies that you have the fullness of Christ Jesus as an inheritance as the free gift of salvation. But in many cases, we don't see our prayers being answered despite knowing that we have received them in Christ Jesus. So, what are we to do, praise and thank God.
Thanksgiving is an act of faith that you stand on and have received what Jesus has done for you. Praise, on the other hand, shifts our focus from the distractions of this world onto God/Jesus. And as we keep on focusing on Jesus, we without knowing it, strengthen our faith in Jesus. and we eventually see the physical manifestation of what Jesus has done for us because we eventually align ourselves with the grace of God.
The absence of continuous praise and thanksgiving is to give room for the distractions of this world.
As Sons and Daughters of God, what we receive from God are miracles, but divine favour, because of His grace. He has given us all things pertaining to life and godliness (ref.: 2 Peter 1:2-3), so it is left to us to activate through the positive acceptance of His grace (all that He has given to us as an inheritance of the free gift of salvation in Christ Jesus). And we must always remember this.
Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
