From Within

Just to go straight to the point. When a person gets born again, he or she receives a new spirit, and this new spirit which is the Spirit of Jesus comes with several characteristics within. As the person who is born again meditates on the new Spirit they have adopted (through the word of God), they grow and release the fruit of the Spirit which joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, and self control, which are all founded on love.

There are several gifts that come from within, (Romans 12:6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11). So, why do those who are born again get agitated, is that part of the whole package?

One thing that we need to know is that there is no form of agitation in the Spirit inherited by those born again. So, when one is depressed or sad or angry or anything related to it, but born again, the agitated feeling and the characteristics inherited from the spirit aren't from the same source.

Let me explain. The Spirit inherited which includes the fruit and gifts of spirit come from within, but every form of agitation such as sadness, depression all come from outside, they weren't inherited and doesn't belong to the person who is born again.

So, being born again would imply that we shouldn't accept any form of agitation which is of the flesh. To live and walk by the Spirit would kick the agitated spirit away, (Galatians 5:16-18).

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

Your Destiny, His Purpose

Whenever we hear the word destiny, many times we believe it is a fixed plan from God for us that cannot be changed. But that isn't true. 2 Peter 3:9 says, "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance." If God who is all-knowing, wants everyone to repent because He cannot force us into repentance, does that imply God our destiny is in God's hands? No, it implies our destiny is in our hands.

Destiny implies destination, which is based on choice. So, where does God fit into all this?

When God brought us into this world He made us with a purpose, and it is that purpose we are to fulfill, but fulfilling the purpose of our creation is by choice.

When we were born, we were born to a family, whether biological or Foster. It is the duty of our parents in particular to set our heart in line with our God given purpose. Which is why Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it." God has assigned every parent the duty to set every child that has been given them on the part of God, where they would find their purpose. And when they are grown and are to leave the parents, they would know how to rest on God.

This same duty has been given to Church leaders to those whom they oversee. They aren't to dictate to them, rather they are set them on the part of God's purpose (ref.: Ephesians 4:11-16).

As Sons and Daughters of God having been brought up by physical and Spiritual parents, we are to ask ourselves if our destiny is fulfilling the purpose to which we were sent here on earth. For whatever action we portray is the result of where our heart rest. As Apostle James said in James 2:26, that faith in our Lord Jesus without works to show for it is dead. This goes for every action portrayed.

Is your destiny in line with His purpose for you?

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

Fear

Fear! Wow, it's just like the world sees it as normal. Well sadly everyone born of a woman see fear as a way of life, like fear is a part of life. But because we all came into this world to meet fear as the way the world accepted fear as part of life, we never cared to questioned it.

There is fear in every single thing that we see around us, from food; not eating too much or too little, or eating at all if we are eating what is good for our health or not. There is fear in everything that is done, even as little as walking or breathing. Why is this so?

One thing that we really should know is that all that is fear comes from our mind and is never in the present, but an anticipation of the future in whatever form, whether close or far, but never happening in the present.

And another thing we must know is that fear is always an anticipation of pessimism and never optimism. So, the question we never asked ourselves is that why are people always pessimistic by nature?

To answer this question quickly, let me take you through some verses of the Bible that clearly states why man is always filled with fear.

Genesis 1:26a says, "Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness"

The verses to note are Genesis 3:10-12, "¹⁰Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” ¹¹So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.” ¹²And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?” This comes after Adam and Eve ate of the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Alright, now God made man in His image and likeness. Which means, man has the power to create through his words. That is on one side. The second side is that fear isn't part of the nature of God, and wasn't found in man till he ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. That was why when Adam said he was afraid and hid himself when he heard the voice of God, which made God ask him if he ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, because fear isn't among the God's vocabulary.

Fear isn't part of the original design of man. So, what is?

Faith is the original design of man, and not fear. Our vocabulary should be the vocabulary of God Himself, which is by faith (ref.: Hebrews 11:3).

Every word we confess is to speak "God" into the future. Remember, fear isn't in the present, and it isn't resting on God, but faith in Christ is.

Our words are very precious, and shouldn't be spoken in fear because they create the future we don't want. Rather we are to confess words by faith in Christ Jesus that rest on God as the source. By doin this we manifest the life God has designed for us. However, we cannot do this by just saying it alone, we need the have the life of God to live the God kind of life, which is only found in Christ Jesus. This is why becoming born again is extremely important, and living the life is of great importance.

Fear has its origin in sin which Jesus has freed the world from. It is left to us to willingly accept the new life of God in Christ Jesus which translates us from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of Jesus, (ref. Colossians 1:13). Isn't that amazing?

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
