Humans are
people who focus on things but cannot focus on more than one thing at a time.
In other words we there is no simultaneous effect on how we focus on things we
want. You must forfeit one for the other. This also affects our judgement and conclusion.
Still, we must understand what we intend to happen to us has a lot to do with
what we see and say.
You must
understand that you only see what you want; you can’t see a half empty and full
cup simultaneously. So, if you believe you are blessed, see yourself as blessed
and not otherwise. Our thoughts have a force that shouts what we want without
saying it. If you are saying you are blessed and in your mind saying otherwise,
it is that which your mind says that is established.
Jesus was hungry
at a point and went to a tree expecting to see fruits on it but He didn’t see
any. So, He spoke a cursed to the tree saying no one would ever eat of the tree
again and walked away. Jesus saw the tree dead in His mind that’s why when He
took the same path the next day, He didn’t bother looking at the tree, but His disciples
who had double minds checked if what Jesus happened and it happened! [ref. Mark
11:12-14; 11:20-21]. Why? Jesus didn’t have a double mind. His disciples
wondered how He did it and He explained to them saying, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this
mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his
heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have
whatever he says.” Mark 11:22b-23 NKJV. Only see what you want.
Again, Peter the
Apostle wanted to walk on water when Jesus called him, so what he saw was
seeing himself walking on water till he changed what he saw, that was focusing
on the wind and wave, that was what made him sink till Jesus came to the rescue
[ref. Matthew 14:22-33]. What Jesus asked was, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” Matthew 14:31 NKJV.
What you want is the only thing you see!
To see what you
want is what God wants us to do; it’s an act of faith. He did this to Joshua
when the children of Israel were to destroy Jericho, God told Joshua, “See! I have given Jericho into your hand,
its king, and the mighty men of valor.” Joshua 6:2 NKJV. But Jericho was
still standing! God wanted Joshua to see only what they wanted, if they had
changed their focus from seeing Jericho destroyed, Jericho wouldn’t have been
destroyed.
No matter the
situation you are going through, you must stay focused on what you want. The
moment you shift focus to another place of rest, you get the last thing you
focused on. So focus on what you want. The grace God has giving us has giving
us have to be seen every second of our lives because God has given us
everything we’ll ever need; it’s all because of His love for us and this is the
gospel truth.
Why not accept
Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus,
I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God
raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank
You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand
new!
