How To Receive God's Direction

As we battle along as believers in faith, we need to be thoroughly equipped. This is because the devil is thoroughly equipped himself! But one thing is certain; he can’t defeat a thoroughly equipped believer. So, how can we be thoroughly equipped? Through the Word! (the bible); believers receive directions from the Holy Spirit in different ways such as, hearing Him directly; through dreams, vision, circumstances and so on, but with all these, they are all secondary to the major source of direction gotten from God Himself. The major source of direction from God is the Word of God (the bible).

We must note the fact that the secondary sources in gaining direction from God MUST correspond with the Word of God and not the other way round. This is because when you study and meditate on the Word, the secondary sources then explains what you studied for clarity in living our daily lives.

When we allow the secondary sources bring out the clarity of the Word, we become like person in Psalm 1; of whom whatever he does prospers. Now, prosperity also includes; not falling for the temptation of the devil; the Holy Spirit guides us as we live our daily lives. Can’t you see how easy things are? And this is because of the love God has for us and this is the gospel truth.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
