Who are we now
after receiving Jesus as Lord of all and having the Holy Spirit? The bible
explained how God gave Jesus all authority in heaven, earth and under the earth
and we being in Jesus have the exact authority [ref. Philippians 2:9-11; Romans
8:17]. We now have the commanding authority as Jesus, but remember, as man we
must not sit on the fence, we just have to serve someone and as believers we
chose Jesus.
Now being under
Jesus implies you have the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our helper, counselor,
comforter and guardian. He is also our direction [ref. John 14:15-18]. As we
live in the world, the Holy Spirit guides us what God wants us to do. We can’t
just go about anything as we like even though we have freedom. We are expected
to act just like Jesus in everything because we have His Spirit and His mind!
[ref. 1st Corinthians 2:16].
While Jesus was
on earth, He said, “… I assure you, most
solemnly I tell you, the Son is able to do nothing of Himself (of His own
accord); but He is able to do only what He sees the Father doing, for whatever
the Father does is what the Son does in the same way [in His turn].” John 5:19
(AMP). This is the same way we are to live. We need to ask God for guidance
on what to do and how to do it. The point we need to understand is that God
makes things easy for us better than we expect.
Also, as
believers, we are to look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.
Remember, without faith it is impossible to please God [ref. Hebrews 12:2;
11:6]. The way to please God through faith is to look at our perfect
representative, Jesus. The more we look unto Him, the more we appreciate God’s
grace and mercy towards us and our lives get transformed for the better and we
start seeing miracles happening. It’s because of His love for us and this is
the gospel truth.
Why not accept
Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus,
I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God
raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank
You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand
new!
