You're What You See and Say

We all have senses that allow us to be conscious of our environment. These senses determine our perceptions of things. In other words, senses allow us to take in things that shape our mindset, and whatever shapes our mindset shapes our life.

As we all know Adam and Eve absorbed sin into their life after making a wrong decision that put the whole world in danger of death. Everything man perceived was constantly evil, no matter the degree because God was out of the picture in their spirit, and the devil was leading the world astray, just because man could not perceive correctly.

Jesus came to the world to redeem the whole world back to God, by becoming the sacrificial lamb to take the place of all of mankind, while He gave us His life.

God raised Jesus a brand new man to whom God gave all authority in heaven, earth, and under the earth. And in the name of Jesus, every knee would bow in heaven, earth and under the earth and every tongue would confess that Jesus is Lord (ref.: Philippians 2:8-11). Jesus sits at the right hand of God, as He has inherited all that God is as Himself (ref.: Colossians 2:9; 1 Peter 3:22). What does this mean to us?

This means that our perception of things should change and be the exact perception of Christ Jesus since we have been redeemed. And all those who accept Him as their new life, have His Spirit as theirs. Then there is the Holy Spirit who guides our soul which perceives with the senses.

Our Spirit which is the real us was changed, but our soul, which is the connecting factor between the spirit realm and the physical realm should perceive correctly through the Spirit of Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 53:4 says that Jesus bore our infirmities, diseases, weaknesses, and flaws upon Himself. He gave His life in its stead (ref.: 2 Corinthians 5:21).

Remember, what we perceive shapes our mindset, which shapes our life.

Let's look at how Jesus' perception while here on earth.

Whenever Jesus was to heal a person, He saw the person healed, not sick as people saw the person. When Jesus was to multiply the loaves of bread and two fish, He saw the bountiful harvest, and not the five loaves and two fish. Why was this so? He perceived as the Lord God perceived. As He said in John 5:19 all He does is what He sees our heavenly Father do.

Now, Jesus sits at the right hand of God the Father. He made us understand that we are to see as God sees because what we see becomes what we say.

As Sons and Daughters of God, we are to live and walk by faith and not by sight (ref.: Romans 1:17; 2 Corinthians 5:7). To live and walk by faith is to see with the eyes of Christ Jesus. In other words, because of the finished work of Christ Jesus on the cross and the power in His resurrection, we see everything in that light, in the leading of the Holy Spirit. This was why Jesus saw the sick healed even before He commanded the sickness to go.

This is very important because we become what we see. This is because faith in the real sense means to rest on all that God has given us in Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.

The devil could bring deceptive visions, but we are to bring them captive into the obedience of Christ Jesus (ref.: 2 Corinthians 10:3-5). We are to only see with the eyes of God. With this we see the miraculous happen in our lives.

Our words on the other hand are commands that bring things to life. Remember, we have the life of Christ Jesus, and the word of God doesn't come back to Him void (ref.: Isaiah 55:11). Likewise, whether we know it or not, our words do not go without accomplishing what was said. This is why Jesus said God will judge every idle word (ref.: Matthew 12:36-37).

Proverbs 18:21 says "Your words are so powerful that they will kill or give life, and the talkative people will reap the consequences" TPT.

As Sons and Daughters of God, we see as Christ sees, and confess who Christ says we are right now in Him. Just as Jesus saw as the Father saw, He confessed what He saw, and it came to pass.

But our words begin from the heart, which is what we see, and then we confess in line with what we see. Whatever we see and say, comes to pass. This affects our way of life. This is why shouldn't talk carelessly, and we are to guard our hearts diligently because it affects our lives (ref.: Proverbs 4:23).

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
