To say you are a Son or Daughter of God isn't just an acknowledgement but also what your actions portray. The action is the effect on where you stand, the manifestation of your belief, which is the evidence people see. But before the action is the confession [the cause], which are words seasoned with Grace. The point to take note of is to know how to confess.
Your life as a Son or Daughter of God is not your life, but the life of Jesus. The life you think is yours is dead and gone forever (ref.: Colossians 2:11-12). Your only business is the life of Jesus, because, He is your new life (ref. Hebrews 12:2). All that He is, you have become (ref.: 1 John 4:17). But your soul is ignorant of this in certain areas within you. Remember, you are a spirit, possess a soul and live in a body.
Your spirit who you think is you was changed to the Spirit of Jesus, but your soul and body weren't, which is why there is the need for your soul to be transformed (ref.: Romans 12:2). This is because the transformation of your soul affects your body. So, how do you confess?
As I wrote, your only business is the life of Jesus. You have the life of Christ Jesus, who you need to know. As Jesus said in John 17:3, which says, "And this is eternal life: [it means] to know (to perceive, recognize, become acquainted with, and understand) You, the only true and real God, and [likewise] to know Him, Jesus [as the] Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah), Whom You have sent." AMPC. Knowing God and His word, Jesus as yourself is the true eternal life.
Through the cleansing of the blood, the inheritance in His resurrection, and accepting the Lord Jesus as your Lord you become all that Jesus is, you have become. And Jesus has given everyone born of God the gift of the Holy Spirit, who interprets the scriptures to us.
As you meditate on His word day and night, you are open to the revelation of who Jesus is more and more. And remember, all that Jesus is in heaven, you are, right here on earth. And the Holy Spirit interprets how that affects you right here on earth. It is things you have been exposed to about Jesus that you confess.
As you confess, your mind is being transformed, because the word of God is alive and active, and what you are confessing is the truth of who you are. You can only tell yourself the truth and see it manifest.
Your life is the life of Christ Jesus alone. All you need to do is meditate on the word of God, allowing the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to the revelation of Christ. And you are to confess who Christ is as yourself, knowing that by Grace through faith, you have received all that Christ Jesus is.
Christ Jesus is your life (ref.: Colossians 3:4), and the more you confess Him, the more your life manifests as Himself.
The Holy Spirit urges us to speak in tongues, which is the undiluted perfection of Christ being confessed, bypassing the limited human mind. This also brings about intense revelation.
Don't be deceived by whatever you face or see that isn't Christ Jesus. If it isn't who Christ Jesus is, then it isn't you, and if it isn't you, do not meditate or confess it. Rather, confess who Christ Jesus is in that very situation. This strengthens your faith [rest and trust] in Christ Jesus.
Another form of confession which takes your mind off the lies of the devil here is praises. Praise strengthens your faith, and makes the devil flee. You only see Christ Jesus, He alone is glorified in your life.
The strength of your confession is Christ Jesus, and who He is. Confess all that Christ Jesus is as who you have become. Draw near to Him, get to know Him better, and experience Him, where you receive divine strength and direction through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Your confession is your strength because it rests on the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is as though Christ were speaking when you confessed. And remember His name is the key that opens any door in heaven, earth, and under the earth (ref.: Philippians 2:8-11).
Get to know Jesus more to walk in His authority through your confession.
Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
