How To Confess

To say you are a Son or Daughter of God isn't just an acknowledgement but also what your actions portray. The action is the effect on where you stand, the manifestation of your belief, which is the evidence people see. But before the action is the confession [the cause], which are words seasoned with Grace. The point to take note of is to know how to confess.

Your life as a Son or Daughter of God is not your life, but the life of Jesus. The life you think is yours is dead and gone forever (ref.: Colossians 2:11-12). Your only business is the life of Jesus, because, He is your new life (ref. Hebrews 12:2). All that He is, you have become (ref.: 1 John 4:17). But your soul is ignorant of this in certain areas within you. Remember, you are a spirit, possess a soul and live in a body.

Your spirit who you think is you was changed to the Spirit of Jesus, but your soul and body weren't, which is why there is the need for your soul to be transformed (ref.: Romans 12:2). This is because the transformation of your soul affects your body. So, how do you confess?

As I wrote, your only business is the life of Jesus. You have the life of Christ Jesus, who you need to know. As Jesus said in John 17:3, which says, "And this is eternal life: [it means] to know (to perceive, recognize, become acquainted with, and understand) You, the only true and real God, and [likewise] to know Him, Jesus [as the] Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah), Whom You have sent." AMPC. Knowing God and His word, Jesus as yourself is the true eternal life.

Through the cleansing of the blood, the inheritance in His resurrection, and accepting the Lord Jesus as your Lord you become all that Jesus is, you have become. And Jesus has given everyone born of God the gift of the Holy Spirit, who interprets the scriptures to us.

As you meditate on His word day and night, you are open to the revelation of who Jesus is more and more. And remember, all that Jesus is in heaven, you are, right here on earth. And the Holy Spirit interprets how that affects you right here on earth. It is things you have been exposed to about Jesus that you confess.

As you confess, your mind is being transformed, because the word of God is alive and active, and what you are confessing is the truth of who you are. You can only tell yourself the truth and see it manifest.

Your life is the life of Christ Jesus alone. All you need to do is meditate on the word of God, allowing the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to the revelation of Christ. And you are to confess who Christ is as yourself, knowing that by Grace through faith, you have received all that Christ Jesus is.

Christ Jesus is your life (ref.: Colossians 3:4), and the more you confess Him, the more your life manifests as Himself.

The Holy Spirit urges us to speak in tongues, which is the undiluted perfection of Christ being confessed, bypassing the limited human mind. This also brings about intense revelation.

Don't be deceived by whatever you face or see that isn't Christ Jesus. If it isn't who Christ Jesus is, then it isn't you, and if it isn't you, do not meditate or confess it. Rather, confess who Christ Jesus is in that very situation. This strengthens your faith [rest and trust] in Christ Jesus.

Another form of confession which takes your mind off the lies of the devil here is praises. Praise strengthens your faith, and makes the devil flee. You only see Christ Jesus, He alone is glorified in your life.

The strength of your confession is Christ Jesus, and who He is. Confess all that Christ Jesus is as who you have become. Draw near to Him, get to know Him better, and experience Him, where you receive divine strength and direction through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Your confession is your strength because it rests on the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is as though Christ were speaking when you confessed. And remember His name is the key that opens any door in heaven, earth, and under the earth (ref.: Philippians 2:8-11).

Get to know Jesus more to walk in His authority through your confession.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

How Well Do You Know Him? (Part 2)

Yesterday, I explained the importance of knowing God and sitting at His feet to receive revelation from Him. I also said faith is knowing a person to the point of trusting the person's words. And the person in this case is God. If we have issues in our lives, and we know that Jesus has sorted them out through His finished work on the cross, manifested in the power of His resurrection, what you need is to sit at the Lord's feet through meditation on His word, to bring about the revelation that the Holy Spirit would use to guide you into living the finished works of Christ Jesus.

Abraham believed in God; a sign of how well he knew God. His belief was what God called righteousness. (ref.: Romans 4:1-3).

Noah also believed in God and built an ark after being warned of the coming flood (ref.: Hebrews 11:7).

The disciples of Jesus asked Him why they couldn't cast the evil spirit in the epileptic boy. Jesus told them it was because of their unbelief; the remedy was prayer and fasting (ref.: Matthew 17:14-19; Mark 9:14-28; Luke 9:37-42). What Jesus meant was to properly cast out such an evil spirit, you must have sat at the feet of Jesus, become closer to Him through meditation, and receive revelation to function in authority, which is activated through belief. Just as Jesus indicated that they lacked unbelief.

And remember Jesus had earlier given the twelve disciples power over unclean spirits by casting them out and healing all kinds of sickness and disease (ref.: Matthew 10:1; Mark 3:14-15; Luke 9:1). The way to activate this power Jesus gave them was through belief. But if they don't know Jesus well enough, they will still have doubts; as faith is trusting the words of someone you have come to know well. This is what fasting does, it gets you closer to God without any distractions.

How well do you know the Lord Jesus? Rather than getting sad or worked up over the situations you face that are contrary to the finished work of Jesus, why don't you go and meet the Lord and sit at His feet, to get refreshed as you know Him better.

Jesus in His prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane in John 17:3 said, "And this is eternal life: [it means] to know (to perceive, recognize, become acquainted with, and understand) You, the only true and real God, and [likewise] to know Him, Jesus [as the] Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah), Whom You have sent." AMPC.  Eternal life is knowing God the Father and Jesus who is the Father as Man. This gives an eternal supply of God's presence, and remember, there is no end to knowing Him. Why do you think it's called eternal life?

Hebrews 11:6 says without faith it is impossible to please, meaning you can't claim to be called the Son or Daughter of God and not know your Father? To know Him is to act like Him. As He is, so are you in Christ Jesus (ref.: 1 John 4:17).

Ask the Lord to open your heart to understanding as you sit at the Lord's feet meditating in His word. As you meditate, your heart is opened to revelation, which the Holy Spirit explains, and your faith/trust increases.

After receiving revelation, we can not confess more appropriately through the finished works of Christ, because it is what He says we believe, and not things contrary to who Jesus is, the devil is forcing through our physical senses.

Don't forget, everything that the devil brings is always a lie, and not debatable. So, the moment you see yourself sick, remember what the finished work of Jesus you have inherited; by His stripes, you were healed. So, since He said this, it is true, and whatever you're feeling or seeing is a lie from the devil.

It takes commitment and consistency to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus (ref. Hebrews 12:2 NIV). How do you manage your time, what do you fill your mind with, because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Always sit at His feet and you will be eternally refreshed (ref.: John 4:14).

How well do you know Him? Get to know Him more each day, because His life and not ours is our source of existence.

How Well Do You Know Him?

Human beings are social beings because that's how God made us. As the saying goes, "No man is an island." As a result of this, we see constant communication with other people. And the more we communicate with certain people, the more we get to know them better than when we met them first. This is not different with God. The more we spend time with Him, the more we get to know Him. But the question is, how well do you know Him?

Faith comes about by trusting in what a person says. So, when you trust God, it means you trust in what He says. Faith, in other words, is the result, the effect of the cause of time spent in knowing a person, and in this case, God/Jesus.

Humans, who do not have a generic behaviour in character, in particular, trust. For some, trust could be built, and for some, distrust could be built. But for God, if He says it is done, then you believe it is done because God is constant in His faithfulness and love, which builds trust.

If a person lacks faith, they need what I call 'sitting at His feet therapy.' In other words, when you see people who cry or are downcast about their health, finances, marriage, and other things that God told us He has sorted out through the finished works of Christ Jesus on the cross, and its establishment in His resurrection, the person needs to spend time with the Lord Jesus by sitting at the feet.

True, we all have our challenges here and there. But which one hasn't Jesus solved in His resurrection? Exactly. So, what we lack, is spending time with the Lord by sitting at His feet.

If you don't have faith, then you don't know Him. Hebrews 11:6 says, "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." Before a person comes to God, He must first know Him.

What do I mean by this? Romans 4:17 says that God calls things that don't exist as though they do. This is a limited human understanding of how God operates, because if we remember, God's words don't return to Him unfulfilled (ref.: Isaiah 55:11). If He said, then it exists, but maybe not at that present time of man, but definitely a time in the future, because God exists outside time and space, and sees the past, present and the future all at once.

So, what did Romans 4:3 say about Abraham? "For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”" Abraham believed in God even without seeing what God said then. This was a sign of trust he had in God, just the way you know a person to the point that you can vouch for the words the person said because of how well you have come to know the person. Abraham had spent time with God, he knew God's words were always binding. And because of his belief, God counted it as righteousness.

Faith is knowing a person to the point of trusting the person's words. And the person in this case is God. If we have issues in our lives, and we know that Jesus has sorted them out through His finished work on the cross, and the power of His resurrection, what you need is to sit at the Lord's feet through meditation on His word, to bring about revelation that the Holy Spirit would use to guide you into living the finished works of Christ Jesus.

With All Your Heart

The word trust has a deep meaning. It means to believe in a thing's reliability, truth, or ability. In our daily lives, there is always the use of trust, in every decision we take. Without trust, we cannot make decisions. For example, we first trust that a type of food is good for the body and hygienic before we decide to eat it. In every decision we make, there is the need to trust.

But man sadly has made several wrong decisions because they placed their trust in the wrong things. Well, this has been since the fall of man, as humans had lived as children without parents, which has led mankind to make decisions based on probability and assumptions and end up making wrong decisions.

Humans were designed by God to be guided as they rule the earth. But they were separated from God and chose to make decisions themselves. Many of these decisions were wrong and costly. The major reason is that man did not design the system, God did, and they need Him to guide them and understand the system He created. So, what is the way out?

Let's look at Proverbs 3:5-6, which says, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; ⁶ In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."

God the creator of the whole universe and a perfect system before it was corrupted, is the only one who knows the right decisions man is to take. And He wants us to trust in Him with all our hearts and rely on Him. He has proven Himself throughout the scriptures.

Every true Son and Daughter of God has free access to the Holy Spirit who leads and guides us in everything. The Lord Jesus has shown us ways in which He can always be trusted through scripture. He alone will never leave nor forsake us (ref.: Genesis 28:15, Deuteronomy 31:6-8, Joshua 1:5, Hebrews 13:5).

To be led by the Holy Spirit is to live as Sons and Daughters of God, and not as orphans. He made us and knows us more than we know ourselves. Without Him, we run as a body without a head or as a person without sight or vision. To trust Him allows us to decide accurately which is in line with His perfect plan for our lives in managing the system He designed since creation.

Most of all, we are to trust Him with all our hearts, which is a sign of complete rest in Him, not our understanding that has failed us.

He is not a man, He remains consistent in His perfection. He is the same yesterday, today and forever (ref.: Hebrews 13:8). You can always count on Him, He will never let you down. No matter what you studied, it can fail you, but Jesus can never, and will never fail you.

Trust Jesus today in all you do, and see your life go smoothly as you fulfil your destiny in Him.
