Like Seeds

Fruits are amazing. You get a harvest and the ability to invest all in one. The substance, which is what we eat or use, is the harvest, while the seed or seeds inside of the fruit are used to invest in acquiring more harvest in the future.

Now, when the seed is planted, the aim of the seed is to become a tree or a plant that bears many fruits. But the seed does not become fully grown overnight. If the planter doesn't believe in the seed, he or she tarnishes the seed from ever becoming fully grown, unless it is planted and taken care of.

Where am I going with this?

Our words are like seeds. When tap into God's plan for us on what we are to do, or what our future looks like, or something, as long as it is from God, it is always the end of the journey or the purpose of what we are to achieve at the end, is what God puts forward to us, and wants us to focus on.

Let us note that all these have to do with the manifestation of what God has given us because all that God wants us to achieve in our lives as needs have been given to us. For instance, the mango seed has the potential of a mango within it even though it is just a seed. In other words, there are mangoes within it, all the seed needs to do is to manifest the mangoes within it by being planted and watered to grow on the path to becoming a full-grown fruitful tree, which is what the seed aims to achieve, the fullness and complete stage that any mango seed can ever get to.

We who are Sons and Daughters of God also need to speak or confess what God has revealed to us as the finish line and achievement of what God said. So, all we are to do is just to confess. At the end of the line, we have no business with the journey. To focus on the journey can be discouraging at times, but when we remember what we intend to achieve at the end, we are strengthened the more to push forward.

To confess our purpose, that which we are to achieve at the end of our journey, which could be in health, work, finances, life in general or anything, is an act of faith. Look at Jesus when He calmed the storm in Matthew 8:23-27; Mark 4:35-41: Luke 8:22-25. He told His disciples, "Let us cross over to the other side of the lake." (ref.: Mark 4:35; Luke 8:22). Jesus had said in John 5:19 that He does nothing of Himself, but only what He sees His Father do, that He does. This would imply that when He told His disciples to cross over to the other side of the lake, He was being led by the Holy Spirit. And on Jesus' mind, He was already on the other side.

Now, Jesus slept off on the boat at the most dangerous side of the boat. When His disciples cried out in panic by waking Him up after He had rebuked the storm, He said, "Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?" (ref.: Mark 4:40). What Jesus meant was that they didn't see themselves at the other side of the lake, but Jesus did by faith.

Our words are like seeds, and for us to release the full potential of what it would become eventually, we must cherish and nurture our words, which is confessing what God has spoken to us, and meditating on the word of God. And we know that the word of God is Jesus Himself. We are to focus on His life, which has become ours, to receive revelations from time to time in the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit, our strengthener, helper, comforter, and the one that points us to Jesus.

Like seeds, never take your words for granted, for what you sow, you will reap; what you say, you will get.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t? Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

As Though We Lost Our Memories

As a Son or Daughter of God, you must have come to the understanding that you are a new creation, (ref.: 2 Corinthians 5:17), and you live by the faith of Jesus (ref.: Galatians 2:20). What this means is that you have the life of Christ Jesus. And by having the life of Christ Jesus, the you that lives in your body is the very essence of Christ Jesus. But why doesn't it appear to us as that?

Jesus who is God was born as a man. He had to be equipped to know that He and the Father are one. In other words, He had to learn that He was God. As He said in John 10:30; 14:9-11, He is in the Father and the Father is in Him, and He and the Father are one, all this shows that Jesus is God Himself. This is the same for us, the moment we become born again, filled with the Holy Spirit. We become all that Jesus is. But why is it that in many cases we don't function as the Jesus we know?

The reason we don't function as Jesus is because of ignorance. We need to be better grounded in the fact that we are in Jesus, and Jesus is in us. So, how do we go about this?

As we study and meditate on the word of God, we are to see Jesus in all that is in the scriptures. As we know, the Old Testament is Jesus concealed, while the New Testament is Jesus revealed.

Also, as we study the scriptures we see ourselves in it as Jesus! Why? It is as though we lost our memories and we need to remember and know who we are. By studying who Jesus is, are also studying ourselves. The more we connect into all that Jesus is, we manifest Jesus as ourselves, in our actions. Just as Jesus said in John 14:12, "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father."

To do greater works than what Jesus did is as Jesus performing signs after His resurrection. This was why Jesus said, "...because I go to My Father." in order to send the Holy Spirit, which is His Spirit.

If we don't see ourselves as Him, then we cannot see greater works than what Jesus did cannot be made manifest. It is just a journal of memories of who we are when we meditate on the word of God.

Whatever we do is led by the Holy Spirit, who is His Spirit. We must be humble if we want to allow Him to flow through us, as us, because we are in Him, and He is in us. And humility is to focus on Jesus ONLY, and not on ourselves, whom the devil forces us to focus on.

And don't forget that the area the devil wants us to focus us has been crucified, in simple terms, it is dead and gone. The life in us is the very life of Jesus. So, if we focus on Him, we reveal Him, who is us, but if we listen to the devil, we act as the person we are not.

Focus on Jesus, and you'll remember who you are, because as He is, so are you in this world, (ref.: 1 John 4:17).

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

A Son or an Orphan?

In one of my write-ups, I wrote about why we should not grow up, why? The reason is that when we were children, God placed our parents as custodians, thus representing Him here on earth. As children, we depended on our parents for everything, we never had to worry about what to eat, drink, clothes to wear, or any other need, because our parents in many ways knew what we needed even before we asked them.

Now, the whole idea for God doing this was for us to learn how to rest on Him completely since we had learnt to rest on our parents for our living, which had become our way of life. As we grow, we then switch from our parents to Him [God our heavenly Father] for everything, He is our true Father, our parent. But what we find today is that as children grow up, they switch from their parents to themselves, thus living as orphans.

As children when we needed food, we ran to our parents, who in many ways already had food prepared for us, or had planned on what we were to eat, the same was for every other need we had. Thinking or worrying about food, drink, clothes, and every other need was our design or purpose as to why we were created. But when we take up these responsibilities as adults, we then bring stress upon ourselves because that isn't why we were created.

So, what did Jesus mean in Matthew 6:33?

Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."

Jesus said we should seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. So, what does the kingdom of God mean? The kingdom of God means simply means a home! What home? The home of our Lord God Almighty. And His righteousness means the life we adopted when we became born again, which is the life of a Son or Daughter of God.

2 Corinthians 5:21 says, "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." We became righteous because of Christ Jesus who took our sin and gave us His righteousness. This righteousness is a redemption between us and God, and it is the life of Christ Himself, which has made us Sons and Daughters of God.

Orphans worry about what to eat, drink, and wear because they don't know where the next one will come from. But a Son or Daughter doesn't live a life of worry, because they know that their needs are already met.

A Son or Daughter at home wakes up in the morning and has his food sorted out, this is the same for his clothing, and every other need he or she has. It is not the place for Sons or Daughters at home to worry about their need. So, what do the Sons and Daughters do at home?

The Sons and Daughters have chores at home. First, the Sons and Daughters are beneficiaries of all that the Father owns. This is why they have no business getting worried. Their focus is on their chores.

As Sons and Daughters of God, we are led by the Holy Spirit to know what chore we carry out for our Father, which is to manage all that He has, by expanding His kingdom. And all this isn't to get our needs met.

An orphan does everything to earn food to eat, clothes to wear, or any other need. It's a life of hustle and desperation. But this is not the same with the Son and Daughter of God. They have their needs already sorted out by grace through faith. All they do is meditate on the word of God, in order to know and receive revelation from God and the leading of the Holy Spirit, who shows them the path they are to take as Sons and Daughters of God.

Occupy till I come, means to expand the kingdom of God by bringing more people into the kingdom, and this comes in many ways, the kingdom business ways. But the most important thing is that NOTHING is done without the leading of the Holy Spirit. There is no guesswork, you are sure of what you are to do as a Son to Daughter of God.

You are a Son or Daughter of God in Christ Jesus and not an orphan. God adopted you as His Son or Daughter the moment you received His hands when He stretched them towards you, and this is the receiving Jesus as your life, the one who saved you. This is why He is your Lord and Saviour, because He took you from the life of an orphan and made you a Son, thus, giving you a brand new life. Live like a Son or Daughter that you are, and see that Christ's inheritance is your inheritance.
