Continuous Prosperity and Success

Happy new week,

Everyone in life wants to be successful and prosperous at what they do, but it happens that not everyone gets to be successful and prosperous in all they do even after creating an assumed perfect plan, but the Bible made us understand that there is a way you can always be prosperous and have good success. Joshua 1:8 says, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” There is a reason why Joshua 1:8 is authentic which I would elaborate today.

The Book of the Law today is now the word of God by being led by the Holy Spirit. When you meditate on the word of God day and night, it shapes your thought and decisions in life, but what makes this different from theories developed by great minds? It’s the source!

Man bases his theories on experiences which he claims worked for him, which he puts in books studied in schools, but why is the word of God different? I said, the source is what makes it different and unique, and why is that? The reason is that the word of God is not based on the experience of man. The theories of man are based on their experiences, but man doesn’t know beyond his nose, in other words, his experiences can fail and have
failed in many ways because their theory failed because a new experience came up which they haven’t seen before. But unlike the theory of man, the word of God is based on the inspiration from God, and God knows the end from the beginning, in other words, He knows everything and His whatever He has given us to follow in order to guide our ways are forever authentic to follow, which the regular theories of man doesn’t contain.

In summary, when you meditate on the word of God day and night by being led by the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit teaches you how to observe to do according to all that is written in the word of God. It is there and then that you’ll make your ways prosperous and you’ll have good success. The theories of man could work but would fail at a certain point, but the word of God can never fail and has been tested and trusted over time. The only reason why the word of God won’t work is that you didn’t observe to do all that is written in it, but when you follow all that is written in Joshua 1:8, you would be prosperous and you would have good success always.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

How Can Your Plans Be Established The Right Way?

Hello everyone,

In my last write-up, my focus was on things which we feel are right but are actually wrong, making reference to Proverbs 16:25; Romans 8:5&6; and Proverbs 16:3, I was able to establish that using our reasoning and senses without being led by the Holy Spirit leads to a lifestyle which is against God’s plans for the persons involved.  The reason clearly is that Man since the fall didn’t have a guide as to what he was to do with his life, but since the coming of the Holy Spirit as a result of the resurrection of Jesus, thus giving us an opportunity to live a brand new life by being connected to our creator who is now our Father, and as such, we get to know what we are sent here to do and we have a guardian to direct our steps. However, I intend to continue from where I stopped last time, also by answering the question posed at the end of the last write-up which is: when you roll your thoughts to the Lord, how exactly do you know what is committed to the Lord is agreeable to the will of the Lord?

In addressing the question, Proverbs 16:3 says, “Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.” AMP. The key thing is that the moment we place our plans in the hands of God, our thought pattern as regards the plan which we entrusted to God shifts focus to agree with the will of God. Psalm 37:4-5 says, “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the Lord [roll and repose each of your load on Him]; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass.” AMP. This is the beginning of the question being answered.

Your thoughts would start to be agreeable with that of God as long as you start to delight yourself in the Lord, this has to do with the quietness of the soul; which includes trust, reliance, and confidence in the Lord. The quietness of the soul is to shut out the physical logical reasoning, [which is dependence on the self] and then have complete reliance on the Holy Spirit to lead your thoughts aright. This is where you start to know when your plans are agreeable to His will, thus establishing your plans.

The quietness of the soul is very important in getting to know what God’s plan for your plan is, just as Psalm 37:4-5 say, delighting in the Lord is a form of quietness of the soul. To quiet the soul means to shut out every form of distractions of the carnal mind that is not led by the Holy Spirit, but this is not the end, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says more.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, “Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” With the quietness of the soul, you would be able to rejoice in the Lord always; pray without ceasing; and give the Lord thanks always. These are the will God has for you as you are in Christ Jesus, and would mean that this has to be accomplished in knowing how to walk with Jesus. This would only happen when as you are being led by the Holy Spirit. And, the Holy Spirit would let you know when if your plans are agreeable to His will. So, what are the signs the Holy Spirit would show you?

First of all, the Holy Spirit makes yours plans selfless and not selfish, which must conform to the word of God. And in achieving that, there must be love involved, thus your plan intends to treat people as you would treat them with love. Also, one thing which is very important is that it ends up glorifying God. Another thing is that your plan would fall in line with God’s purpose for your life here on earth, in other words, it would be part of what would be used in accomplishing your purpose here on earth.

These are very important to take note of because we do have plans every now and then, and it is so important to ensure that our plans fall in line with what God intends for us; so it is important for us to always, “Trust in the LORD with all [our] heart, and lean not on [our] own understanding; 6 in all [our] ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct [our] paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Sometimes, What You Consider Right Is Actually Wrong!

Happy Weekend and Happy New Month everyone,

Proverbs 16 caught my attention when I saw verses which are of great importance in our day to day activities. Let us not deceive ourselves, if everything you use has an inventor or creator, we shouldn’t then be foolish to say the earth or the universe has no creator or there is no God. The level of chemical balance on the earth, the physiological accuracy cannot just be all by itself unless there was or is someone behind it. He has revealed Himself in many ways and has written a book by giving revelations to over 40 writers, and to as many as have believed in His existence and have received Him as Lord of their lives. I just decided to go down this route before going through what I have today, which as I said is based on verses in Proverbs 16. They may be familiar to you, but the word of God is always new every time we go through it again, and that’s what makes it fun.

Proverbs 16:25 says, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” I looked at this verse in other rendition of which two caught my attention. The Message Bible puts Proverbs 16:25 thus, “There’s a way that looks harmless enough; look again—it leads straight to hell.” The second rendition which caught my attention is the Contemporary English Version which puts the same verse thus, “Sometimes what seems right is really a road to death.” It was there and then I wondered what things could appear as right to us, but are actually things leading to hell, in other words, it implies they are things we really don’t know are wrong but we count them as right. Whatever could be of such semblance to this? It was then I remembered Romans 8:6, and what does it say?

Before going to Romans 8:6, verse 5 of Romans 8 say, “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.” Then verse 6 says, “For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” The Amplified Bible puts Romans 8:6 thus, “Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever].”

To be carnally minded is that which many considers as right, but it leads to hell or death. What does it mean to be carnally minded or having the mind of flesh? The Amplified Bible says the mind of the flesh is using sense and reason without the Holy Spirit. In other words, living your life without being led by the Holy Spirit/Jesus. Why is this important? This is important because when you live your life without being led by the Holy Spirit, you would eventually do that which is not in line with the ways of God, thus doing what is against the mandate God has for you.

With all these, Proverbs 16:3 say, “Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.” AMP. What this verse means is that plans cross our minds every now and then, but before carrying it out, it is important to present these plans of your before the Lord, He alone would then allow whatever you have as your plans to conform with His thoughts, which would then be agreeable with His will. Now, when you roll your thoughts to the Lord, how exactly to do know if what is committed to the Lord is agreeable to His will? To find out, log on next time as I elaborate more on the question posed.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.
