Know The Power You Are Made Up Of

There are several laws in the science world such as the law of gravity, the law of thermodynamics and other laws. But even with the accuracy of these laws, many of them have been defiled by the great prophets of old in the bible (as some would call them). For example an axe floated in water which is naturally so impossible; a bin of flour wasn’t used up; a jar of oil didn’t run dry and so on. These things were so great that made a jaw drop; but with all these Jesus said, “Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.” Matthew 11:11 (NKJV). What does this imply? It implies not even the great prophet of old were as great as John the Baptist. But that’s not where I’m heading to, Jesus said, “...but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.” Whoah, so that means John is greater than these prophets and those who are in Christ are even greater than John! Then what’s wrong today?

Really, I get surprised that we are greater than John the Baptist and the great prophets of old. The reason first of all is that non of these prophets including John were born again! Think about it. To be born again came after the resurrection of Jesus. And when you are born again you get the power of Jesus which is the most powerful of all that was, that is and would ever be. The issue is that we don’t know what power we are made up of.

Jesus said in the book of John 14:12-13, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” Jesus while on earth wasn’t yet glorified so all authority wasn’t given to Him and with this He walked on water, stilled the storm, fed over five thousand people, raised the dead, healed the sick, saved those who were oppressed of the devil and so on. And Jesus is telling us we have the power right now to do greater things than he did while here on earth, because we now operate with the resurrection power which is the greatest any power and authority.

We are expected to look unto Jesus, because He is the source of our abilities, He is our life and without Him we can do nothing. The bible says in Ephesians 3:20, “God can do anything, you know-far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently us.” (Message). The power God has given us in Christ cannot be put to use unless we believe it can happen; and the only way things like this can happen is by being transformed by the renewal of our mind, by believing everything we do is Christ empowered and therefore allowing Him to use us as He likes.

We are the hindering force in allowing the miraculous from happening; the prophets of old are supposed to learn from us and not the other way round, because we carry the greatest power and authority that has ever existed. Just let go and allow God to direct you then see the wonders of God in every aspect of your life to the point where the works of Jesus while here on earth becomes a walk over because we don’t operate at that level; where we operate is at His present level; Him seated at the right hand of God. Just believe and know the power at which you are made up of. God has given us all things and this is the gospel truth!

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
