What you need to understand 3

Yesterday, I explained to us that because of what JESUS did for us, we are now free from sin permanently. I then brought up Romans 6:14 to support the claim that we are under Grace and not law, therefore, we can't be controlled by sin. The question then came, why the use of the word "law"?
1 Corinthians 15:56 explains to us that, " the sting of death is sin, and the STRENGTH of SIN is the LAW". Why is this so? Is it that the law is bad or evil and we are not to follow it? Hmmmn. Deep question.
The point is this. The law is so perfect, but the issue is that it is only a person with GOD'S spirit that can keep it. To elaborate further. When GOD made man and later he fell, man didn't have GOD'S nature so we needed a guide to channel us to GOD. But the point was that because it wasn't our nature we were bound to always break the law. It's purpose was for us to admit that we needed a saviour to take away our transgressions.
Galatians 3:19 says "what purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made..." If you noticed, the word seed had a capital letter 'S', symbolising a person. That person is the saviour who is JESUS. SO, we were supposed to observe the law and then find out that we needed a saviour.
Also, still in Galatians 3:24-25, it says, "therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to CHRIST, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor". In other words, the law was meant to be observed till the coming of a saviour. And the when the saviour comes we seize to be under the law! This is because the law only condemns but DOESN'T save.
Romans 8:1 says " there is therefore now NO condemnation to THOSE WHO are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit".
Once you accept what JESUS did on the cross, you then have a brand NEW Spirit, which is the Spirit of GOD. And you naturally do what GOD wants.
The answer to the first question is very deep.

Log on tomorrow morning as I continue to explain who you are in Christ and why certain things should not be done.
