Dialogue In Our Communication

 Happy New Week everyone,

In every relationship, one thing is very important which is: communication. Now, communication is not complete until there is a response from whom the message is sent, and not a monologue way of discussion, but a dialogue. As Sons of God, communication is very important to us as we are constantly meant to communicate with our Father in heaven. It is this prayer that strengthens us because this is where we get direction on how to live, or what to do in certain areas. As Sons of God, we were sent here for a mission and because of that, we are to constantly commit where we were sent to God and see His glory manifest in that area through us or others or supernaturally, but it was our prayers that caused the power of God to take control in that area.

The first thing we must know is that the true foundation on any and every prayer is Christ Jesus, without Whom we would just be wasting our time or lose focus as a whole. Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy in 1 Timothy 2:1-3 which says, “The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Saviour God wants us to live.” MESSAGE.

We see religious crises here and there in countries and there is no peace. The truth is that many of them are blinded for the passion for doing the wrong thing, and this is because they don’t know Who the Truth is. The world is in trouble and only the Sons and Daughters of God can save the world, and as Paul told Timothy to pray for the rulers and their governments, many have lost focus by not submitting to God who is the One who puts everyone at the seat of power, (Romans 13:1-5). But they are meant to submit to God and many aren’t submitting to God, it is then left to the Sons and Daughters of God to pray for these rulers and their governments to rule well.

One thing we as Sons and Daughters of God should understand is that we shouldn’t just pray without expecting an answer or answers in the form of steps we are to take in getting things done. There is always a duty we are to fulfill in getting things done, so we should always expect an answer and not make our request without getting feedback. God wants a relationship as He dialogues with us and we should be ready to commune with Him.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

The Slack and the Diligent Hands

 Happy Sunday everyone,

I looked at the clock one day and found out how steady it ticked on and on without slowing down a little or missing a count or moving faster than it is meant to, it was just steady. I was to do something, and I went on steadily, but when I decided to slow down or wait for a little, but the clock didn’t wait for me, it went on. I was now the one running after it. Solomon said there is a time for everything (ref.: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8), and we are to live in the right time of things, being led by the Holy Spirit Who is always important.

Proverbs 10:4-5 says, “He becomes poor who works with a slack and idle hand, but the hand of the diligent makes rich. 5 He who gathers in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame.” AMP. The one who is idle is the person who procrastinates all the time. He sees it is time to work, but sits down doing nothing, and ends up poor. But the diligent hand is the one who works by the time and season and doesn’t give up till he is done. He is the one who gathers in summer before the rush comes in, but the idle one sleeps when in the time of harvest and gathers nothing when he finally decides to go out. He is the one who blames others every time for his predicament.

We all have times in our lives where we procrastinate, we could say it is almost impossible to avoid, well, in a way it is. There was a time in my life when I was to do a thing and I was on it on and on and on again and wasn’t making any progress. I’m a man who likes to plan, and I planned my time properly, better than before, but something was always interrupting the flow and I ended up not completing it again. It was then I turned to the person who gave me the job to do. I asked Him, “how exactly am I supposed to get this job done, it appears I’ve been failing at it all the time, and it is quite frustrating.” It was then He said you finally asked the right question, and within a day He gave me His own plan, and how I’m to go about it. I wanted to cry tears of joy, I saw how quick it was for me to cover the entire assignment much faster than before and achieve great results. The man who gave me the job and the successful plans on how to carry out the assignment is the Holy Spirit. This story really happened, although the Holy Spirit wasn’t physically present as I described Him figuratively, but He was present.

We may say we don’t have any intention to be idle, but having a slack hand is having plans that don’t work and you keep creating new ones over and over again. When I emphasise on the Holy Spirit being your best friend, I’m not saying this just because it’s important, but because He is the only path to great success. He has never failed to make my path straight, and if the path isn’t straight at a point, it is because I didn’t follow His plans as He showed me, and it won’t come as a surprise to me because I know where I erred. And the good thing is that He is always there to strengthen you when you are down the moment you turn to Him as the only way.

Self-righteousness is the reason why some are poor today, and still some, even after being shown what and how to go about their assignment refuse to stand up, that is a strong reason why some are poor. The Lord ALWAYS provides for His children. If you are poor and you are a Son or Daughter of God, and you believe you don’t procrastinate, then you haven’t asked the right question, just the way I did before. He is always there to guide us and you need to be quiet because even when we are going the wrong way He is telling us the right path to take, but if you are noisy, you won’t hear Him. Be still and know that He is God.

The Power of Diligence

Hello everyone,

We all have jobs or businesses that we do, some started through the development of skills or talents, but amongst all, there are some who stand out from others as a result of their exception, the ones whom many people sort after. What exactly makes them different from others who are involved in similar jobs of theirs? The Amplified Bible puts Proverbs 22:29 thus, “Do you see a man diligent and skillful in his business? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.” The Message puts this same verse thus, “Observe people who are good at their work—skilled workers are always in demand and admired; they don’t take the back seat to anyone.” Diligence is key at anything you put your hands to do, and this is what people are looking out for. The amount of diligence you put in a thing determines the result of your finishing.

An actor I admire—Denzel Washington said, “Without commitment, you’ll never start. And without consistency, you’ll never finish.” This is very true even for a Son or Daughter of God. Every Son or Daughter of God is given a duty to perform here on earth, and if he is not committed to the work, he will never start, and even when he starts, if he is not consistent, he will never finish and move to the next stage with God.

I never really had an issue being committed when working with God, but the issue I had was being consistent. However, even when we intend to be consistent, attacks come from different angles from the devil. But that is not enough excuse for a Son or Daughter of God to always fall victim to the vices of the devil. By the level of consistency, you put to a thing, you'd get the result of the amount of commitment to reaching the end that you put in the very first place.

You cannot escape attacks or distractions, they will always come, and they must come to determine how strong we are and who is fooling who. A person who is diligent and walks with God is likened to the house on the rock and the house on the sand. Both houses were built exactly the same, they both faced the same attack and disturbances, but one crashed while the other stood very strong. What was the difference? It was their foundation. One stood on the rock [which didn’t crash], while the other stood on the sand [which crashed]. Jesus said we are to listen to His words and put them into practice [referring to the house on the rock], and not be like those who listened to His words but didn’t put them into practice [referring to the house on the sand] (ref.: Matthew 7:24-27). And this practice requires diligence.

Meditation on the word requires diligence because it is through this that you commune better with the Holy Spirit, Who would tell you what you’re to do here on earth and how to do it; it takes commitment to start and diligence with consistency to finish. It is because of this that you’re noticed and looked for. Jesus was committed and consistent with His work here on earth. He was also very diligent which was why everyone looked for Him and was why He was able to finish the work His Father sent Him to do.

You may have issues with consistency, why not commune with the Holy Spirit, because He will show your path of being consistent easily. Walking with the Holy Spirit helps you to attain perfection. Do not be discouraged if it appears nobody noticed you at the beginning, it is only the beginning, this is where consistency plays its game. It is the consistent and diligent one that gets an excellent result, so be diligent.

The Faith of Jesus

Hi everyone,

I really admire Jesus a lot, every time I read about His personality, the way He answers questions, and the miracles He performs, I get thrilled; He is just my role model. But let’s take a look at a popular miracle Jesus performed, which is the stilling of the storm. This miracle keeps getting me amazed over and over again, not just about the miracle performed but the event before He stilled the storm. Now, what made me thrilled?

Jesus said to His disciples, “Let us cross over to the other side of the lake.” Luke 8:22. Then while on their way there was a storm but Jesus was asleep in the stern. Now the stern is the most dangerous place to sleep in a boat; anyone who stays there in a storm, like the storm Jesus and His disciples faced, the person on the stern is most likely to be thrown overboard first, but that was where Jesus was! His disciples woke Him up and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” Mark 4:38. But really, was Jesus meant to be sleeping at such a time?

Now, Jesus woke up and said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” Mark 4:40. But really, what faith was Jesus talking about? Remember, Jesus told His disciples to cross over, and when Jesus says a thing, it is always backed up by faith because He lived a faith-filled life. As we know, faith is the substance of things hoped for, while the evidence is not yet seen by man but by the one who spoke [ref.: Hebrews 11:1]. Jesus already saw Himself at the other side of the lake; this was the act of faith. Also, remember that Jesus only did what His Father asked Him to do. Jesus had complete trust, complete faith, and complete reliance on His Father. So, whatever His Father said was final, He had no second thought about what He was told to do. This is to imply that the crossing to the other side of the lake was approved by God.

For Jesus, He had complete peace of mind to the point of being fast asleep in a storm. This was the faith His disciples lacked; they didn’t see with faith, instead, they saw with their five senses. We must understand that the moment God tells us a thing, He tells the end result of that thing and that is what we are to hold on to and nothing else. For Jesus, no storm or circumstance could change His stand on what His Father had told Him; this is how to live as a believer.

The point to note is that even if Jesus hadn’t calmed the storm they still would have gotten to the other side of the lake! This is because God said it through Jesus. So, as a Christian if sickness comes, we don’t panic, instead, we hold on to what the scriptures say, that by the stripes of Jesus we were healed (ref.: 2 Peter 2:24). When financial challenges come, you confess that the Lord has supplied all your needs according to His riches in Glory, and you are blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places (ref.: Philippians 4:19; Ephesians 1:3). These are the things we do and more. We must hold on to what God has said and not what the world says or even what your friends say, so far it isn’t from God.

Jesus holding on to what God told Him to go to the other side through faith despite the storm, strengthens me a lot and this is what God expects of us, to have complete trust in Him. God has taken care of all we would ever need; we just need to trust Him as Jesus did. The love of Christ towards us knows no bounds, and this is the gospel truth.

You Can't Create A New Day

 Hello everyone,

Humans are known for prediction, probability and assumption, they would tell you where their company would be in a certain number of years judging by their analysis. These and more are common in the way Man do their things. But this isn’t how God wants us to live our lives. Am I saying it is not good to anticipate a bright future? It is good, but there is a way God wants us to go about our way of doing these things.

James 4:13-14 says, “Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; 14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” We don’t know what would happen in the next second, we only anticipate which is based on chance, it could happen or not. To God, our existence here on earth appears to be as a vapour which comes and goes very quickly. So how are we to speak? James 4:15 says, “Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” The Lord God determines how long a person spends here on earth, and He has given everyone a purpose to fulfil here on earth, so we are to understand that every second we spend here on earth is by the will of God, thus, we should rest on His will in order to do anything, because we don’t know when we would be called up.

James went further in verse 16 and 17 which says, “But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. 17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him is sin.” To say where your life or whatever thing would be without His will, to God is considered as arrogance, because what you are implying is that you are the determinant of your existence, whereas, understanding that whatever you intend to do is based on the will of God, and it is He who gives you more time to do what you intend to do. But the truth about life is that we often create how we want to live our lives, instead of asking God what plans He has for us and how we are to live. Doing this is living in His will, because not only has He given you what to do, you would be conscious of the fact that He sent you on a mission and you are meant to deliver at an appointed time. And with the help of the Holy Spirit, we would live a perfect life before God.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

The Hunger For Jesus

 Hello everyone,

I once wrote on The Logic by Faith, which was an eye-opener to what we know [what have we have received in Christ Jesus], but which many haven’t taken our time to reason out how interesting God intends walking with Him to be. As we now understand that the logical reasoning of God is based on His principles which rests in Christ Jesus who is the power and wisdom of God (ref.: 1 Corinthians 1:24), God Himself has given us Jesus as our new life, which we receive by confessing with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead (ref.: Romans 10:9), then Jesus Christ becomes our new life.

As we now have Jesus as our life, through the Holy Spirit, we are led in line with the path of Jesus which is the path of God, which is the logic of God by faith. Now, knowing that Jesus is power and wisdom of God and now our life, it is our duty to search deeply to know Him more and more, so that we fulfill His fullness in our daily lives, in other words, we should hunger for Him like one who is starving for food. And why is this so?

2 Peter 1:2 says, “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue” What we need to understand is that Jesus is now our life, for without Him we can do nothing (ref.: John 15:5), we then need to know the life we have now obtained. Not only that, 2 Peter 1:3 says His divine we have obtained as our life has given us everything that pertains to life and godliness, in other words, there is nothing we would ever do here on earth according to the plans and purposes of God that Jesus is not the answer to in terms of anything that our life consists of, just name it. So, as the scripture advises us to meditate on the word of God, what it means is that we should look for Jesus in every single verse. He is our life and all in all. This is not just an expression, it is the reality on ground that we need to understand.

We are to hunger for Jesus more than the food you eat, treat Him as if He is the only air to breathe and survive. But one thing we must understand is that we are not hungry for Jesus for our selfish interest, but for what God has called us to do here on earth. We are to live for Christ and not for ourselves. He said that He came to serve and not to be served, likewise, we are to serve and not to be served, and this is done when walking with God in Jesus Christ. And as Jeremiah prophesied in Jeremiah 9:23-24 that no one should glory in his wisdom or his might or riches, but those who must glory, must glory that he understands and knows God [Jesus], because this is what God delights in.

Hunger for JESUS to the glory of the NAME OF THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.

There Is an Ark and a Flood

 Hi everyone,

When we read in Genesis about Noah and the flood, and why God had to send the flood, it seems like a story of old. But what surprises me is that many do not know that the story of Noah is happening all over again, but this time not with a literal flood.

Jesus said in Matthew 24:37-37, “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” Do not be afraid when you hear things about the second coming of Jesus Christ, what we are to do is to take heed and be prepared.

The heart of man today is very hard, even more than the days of Christ, this is why we don’t see miracles happen as it did during the days of Christ, and why is that? The reason is that living the life of Christ is very scarce to the point that when a person performs a miracle, many do not believe. Scientists, ensure they find a flaw, as it does not corroborate with their thesis, even with the evidence in front of them. Those who believe are seen as fools or desperate people, [although, there are miracle workers of the devil].

The world is so corrupt that we who are born into this generation do not know the intensity of the corruption because we met the world this way and we count it as normal. The Word of God is gradually seen as "old school" because it does not fall in line with the current happenings of today. But the truth is that it isn’t the Word of God that is "old school", it is the world that has drifted from the truth!

There is an ark and there is a flood. The ark today is Christ Jesus, while the flood is destruction. Just as Noah kept on telling those of his time to enter his ark for safety, likewise, the children of God are to go round the world, telling everyone to receive and live in Christ. Sadly, a lot of this has turned into a religious act. We are to come into a new life because the old life and this earth will pass away.

The old earth and its way of life would be destroyed, (ref.: Matthew 24:35; 2 Peter 3:10; Revelation 21:1), and we are warned again and again and again. As 2 Peter 3:9 says, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”

We are warned everyday just as everyone was warned in the days of Noah. When Jesus comes the second time, no one would be without the excuse of not hearing the gospel of repentance who were alive when He came.

Live each day as if it were your last in sense of getting prepared for His coming.
