Let Me Take Your Worries Away Literally (re-posted)

Hello everyone,

Worry, worry, worry, how can we ever get out this? There is always something we worry about, from examinations, if you are a student, to getting a good paying job, if you’re fresh out of the university, to getting a better job, for those who have been working. For parents, they worry about their children, how to raise them up the right way, they worry about bills upon bills to pay. Let’s not go to maintenance of our health. Can we ever get out of all these, or is this what life is all about, to be born to worry from birth till death? But there is a way out of all these, and this way out is a complete overhauling of how we have been living, which means, we need to carefully understand this way out of worry. Let’s find out.

First of all, a child could worry over his fear of an examination he has to take, but when his parents put him through in his studies, his worries fade away. Again, children do not worry over food to eat, clothes to wear, and shelter over their head, and why is that? The reason is that they are assured that their parents’ got their back. So, it is clear to say that that worry comes because we lack that parent who directs our paths, which prevents any form of worry. Allow me to elaborate.

In the Gospel of Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus tells us not to worry; not to worry about our lives, what we would eat or drink, or what we would put on. In today’s world, that would mean, Jesus is asking us not to worry about all that I wrote in the first paragraph. But how can this be so? Jesus in Matthew 6:32 tells us that the worry of the first paragraph is what the Gentiles worry about, in other words, these are what the world worry about, which seems to be normal. But Jesus is telling us that this is not how to live, in other words, this isn’t how God wants us to live. So Jesus tells us that our heavenly Father knows what we need even before we ask Him, but if He does, why do we still go through all these worries? The solution is in the popular Matthew 6:33, which says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” What does this mean?

When you seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, it means that you get to know what exactly you are meant to do right here on earth, in other words, you get to know your purpose and mandate here on earth. By doing this, you know what school to go to, where to work, who to marry, or if you’re not going that route, you know exactly what you’re to do, then the second part of Matthew 6:33 says, “…and all these things shall be added to you.” why is so? It is so because when you know exactly what you’re to do, all the provision in meeting your mandate would be provided. How is possible?

God is our Father and creator, and He alone knows what our individual purposes are, here on earth.“For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.” It is our needs and not our wants that God makes provisions for. And when we follow everything we are actually meant to do, we see our provisions being met so easily, this is where worry is gone, and why is that? This is because the Holy Spirit/Jesus is our Shepherd who guides us as we live, so we know what to do, how to do it, for whom we are doing it, and all that we need would be provided to us, if this isn’t true, then God isn’t our Father, or He isn’t a good Father at all, which contradicts Matthew 7:7-12 and Luke 11:9-13.
And when we ask Him what our purpose is here on earth, He tells us through the Holy Spirit. This is why Matthew 6:32 says,

Think about it, if you are sure God needs you to do a thing, why won’t He make provisions for the task to be done. And if we need help on how to get things done, when we ask Him, won’t He tell us exactly what to do, just as a parent would? Of course, He would, for He is our ever-present help in times of trouble (ref.: Psalm 46:1). We need to know exactly what we are called here to do, and we need the Holy Spirit at every point in our life, in other words, we have to always be led by the Spirit, because Jesus said, the Holy Spirit shall teach us all things and bring all things to our remembrance, (ref.: John 14:26).

What Jesus said in Matthew 6:33 as the cure for all sort of worries, is what He did. He was always led by the Holy Spirit, that He always knew the right time to move, He knew what to say at the right time, in fact, He never got anything wrong, just because He knew His purpose here on earth and depended on His Father to lead Him all the way. This was why He never had any cause to worry. But in doing this, we need to have faith in Jesus, by believing in being led the Holy Spirit in Christ Jesus as we study and meditate on the word of God, and as the Holy Spirit interprets to us what the word says, and how we are to live our daily lives. It is only by believing through faith that we can accomplish a perfect life without worry. Believe me, there is a life that is without any form of worry, and it is only in Christ Jesus that we can this—Matthew 6:33, and it is only accomplished through faith in Jesus Christ. His yoke is easy and His burden is light, (ref.: Matthew 11:28-30).

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

Faith and Prayer

Hi everyone,

Wow, I’ve had tonnes of things to pray for, request I mean. Every time, I seek God’s face over a particular thing, on and on and on again. I even got used the acronym of PUSH, which means, Pray Until Something Happens. But it wasn’t until I kept on meditating that I found out that children of God are not actually meant to pray for their needs to be met. The only time we are to pray is when we are praying for others. But why is that so? Let’s find out.

The truth is the truth, and once God has said it, nothing can change it. The scriptures in several places say, we are to walk and live by faith, and what is faith? With another simple definition in line with today’s focus, faith means, all that I wished for God has given me, and I believe He has given me. Note this, faith is not in the future tense but in the ‘now’. In other words, there is no need for prayer of a request for our personal needs, it is the only prayer of thanksgiving, which shows that we walk by faith and not by sight. It shows we trust God and have no doubt in what He has done.

But even with all these, there are still times we pray to God for our needs to be met, and when and why is that? As children of God, we are still growing in faith, in the Grace given to us by God. Therefore, there are areas we need to be strengthened by God, which is that we still bring our request of needs to Him in certain areas, and this is because our faith there is weak. God, on the other hand, does not appear to us as One who would answer us, rather what He does is that He assures us that He has already given us all that we would ever ask or think. In other words, we are strengthened by Him that what we do is to continuously give thanks to Him for answering us.

We are to always give thanks to God because giving thanks is an act of faith. It must not be when we see it physically before we give thanks to Him on matters on our needs, this is why it is called faith, which means you completely trust the Word God has spoken.

The aspect of Thanksgiving doesn’t have to do with our needs alone, rather it has to do with whatever aspect we face, even when praying for others. The moment we get that assurance and peace of mind over an issue, what we are to do is to begin to thank God always, because this strengthens our confidence and faith in God, believing He has done it. Why ask for what you have been given, this is what every child of God should remember.

Our prayer should be more of thanksgiving, when intercession comes, it has its place. But when we receive the peace of God in our heart that our intercession has been answered even when we haven’t seen the result physically, we are to begin to give God thanks over that situation. Prayer is a dialogue, and God is not deaf. He is merciful and just and knows our heart request even before we bring it to Him. This is why we received Jesus, for in Him resides all things, He is the Grace we received. He is God Himself and He lives in us, so we ought to always give God thanks over every situation in our lives, using His Word to strengthen us that since He said it, it is done.

You Cannot Over Depend On Him

Hello everyone,

You cannot over depend on the Holy Spirit for direction. As you study and meditate on the Word of God, you gain knowledge of God, how powerful He His, and then you see all that Jesus through love has done for us, seeing Him as the only One we can place our lives in, and on and on. But the Holy Spirit comes in by using the Word we meditated on to direct us to God’s plans and purposes for our lives, how we would make use of it here on earth. He makes us understand the importance of the Word of God, and on and on. Yes, we now know what we are meant to do, but knowing what to do is what to do is one thing, knowing how to do it is another, and the “how” is what many of us don’t really ask. All we do is cry for help when we are stuck after doing things our way, which shouldn’t be the case.

We should understand that what it means to make Jesus the Lord of your life means, you want Him to live through you. For as the Bible says that we have been crucified with Christ, we were actually crucified. And a new person now lives in us, the One who is our new life—Jesus Christ, (ref.: 2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20).

We only received the plans and purposes for our lives, to know what God has for us since He is the designer, He is the One to lead us all the way. Knowing what to do is one thing, but knowing how to do it is another. The Word of God tells us how to do the things God has called us to do, which is further explained by the Holy Spirit, which implies that we must be guided by the Holy Spirit at all times. Even when we have ideas, we must confirm if it falls in line with God’s plan for us.

When we get stuck in financial debt and don’t know what to do, believing Jesus has the solution is one thing to hold on to, but we need to ask Him how to get out of this mess, thus asking Him what you are meant to do.

Treat the Holy Spirit as a person you can always go to for guidance for everything literally. You cannot over depend on Him, in fact, that is what He wants you to do, to depend on Him at all times. He is also there to train you so that when you face a situation, based on the training He gave you, you know what to do, and how to do it, which is not based on your human knowledge. Trust Jesus and you’ll see that He had set you free from bondage all along, all you had to do was ask, seek, and knock.

In Fear and in Trembling

Happy New Week,

Living a life with God isn’t a life of roses without thorns, it is a life of focus and trust in Christ Jesus, because there are times we go through trials and temptations and these are enough reasons for us to leave our new life in Christ, but when we understand the promises of God and also understand that He is the Truth, we would be strengthened.

We are involved in trials which we cannot run away from, we also face persecutions which are bound to happen. But all these are to strengthen us on Who we stand on—Jesus Christ.

Philippians 2:17 says, “Therefore, my dear ones, as you have always obeyed [my suggestions], so now, not only [with the enthusiasm you would show] in my presence but much more because I am absent, work out (cultivate, carry out to the goal, and fully complete) your own salvation with reverence and awe and trembling (self-distrust, with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidity shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ).” AMP. We should never take things for granted because when we gave our lives to Christ, we understood that He was going to be our new life, and living our life is by looking unto Jesus, as our role model, which would strengthen us as we live our lives here on earth.

As we stay focused on Christ Jesus, we then understand it is none of us, but all of Him. It is His victory on the cross and His resurrection power which we have received that shows us how to overcome our trials and temptations because Jesus has overcome them already. We just follow His path of victory by being led by the Holy Spirit and not get distracted by whatever the devil brings our way.

So, start this week by working out your salvation in fear and trembling, by being focused on Christ Jesus, and see your challenges as a walk over.

The Church Growth and Corruption Growth (Part 2)

Happy Sunday everyone,

In my recent write-up, my focus has been on why the church has lost its focus, judging by the disunity within the body of Christ, as denominations don’t believe the same thing and they all claim to have the Holy Spirit and looking at the growing level of corruption in the world. All these are signs that the church isn’t doing what they are meant to. Some would quote Jesus when He said the harvest is plenty, but the labourers are few, but I say to those who quote this in their defence, they are not dishing out the right message, which is the undiluted Word of God to the world or in the church. Now, this is my focus here today; many church leaders are not giving the church the right message. And this is different from being self-centred which I discussed yesterday.

It is clear in the scriptures that nobody could keep the Law because their spirit was separated from God based on what the first Adam did, but Jesus was the only man who kept the Law perfectly and God glorified Him, and then He died and on the third day He resurrected brand new. And anyone who receives Jesus Christ as Lord of their life receives a brand new life, as the old life dies and the new life of Christ takes over. Invariably, anyone who has received Jesus as their new life is now one with God, no longer separated from Him. The church understanding this is wonderful, but what many do after this is what goes to show that they are being fed wrongly, and what is it?

Many believe that they could not keep the Law because they were separated, but now that they have received the new life of Christ, they go and start keeping the Law, believing that they can now keep it because they no longer separated from God, and this is wrong. They may claim that that’s not what they do, but their actions say otherwise.

Many find it hard to believe that the Law is outdated, old, and should no longer be kept. Yes, you could use it to learn how God used it to guide the Israelite, but the Law is not for anyone who is born again. It became officially abolished at the death of Christ and took effect at His resurrection. Wow, still find it hard to believe?

The Law from the very beginning wasn’t given to making us righteous, rather it was given to tell us that we need a saviour. If keeping the Law could make us righteous, then there was no need for the coming of Christ Jesus. So, where does the church get it wrong?

They try to please God with their actions, thus taking their stand from the old style of living [the old covenant]. In other words, Jesus is only for salvation and to make heaven, and not Life Himself. It really hasn’t dawned on them, because they know, but haven’t meditated on it, that Jesus is our all in all. In other words, the Law was only to reveal Jesus, and now that He has come, He is the One we are to focus on forever and not the Law! This is why we received the Holy Spirit, who acts as our direction.

There is nothing we are to do on earth, from business, to whom to get married to, to what to eat, to what school and course to study, that is not in Jesus. In Him are God’s plans and purposes for our lives, so we focus on Him, and we focus on Him we develop our faith, we live a pure life, why? It is because you inherited Him as your life, and your focus on Him allows you to become Him physically, and not by keeping the Law.

The scriptures say that God will write the Laws on our heart, (ref.: Hebrews 10:16), and it is not the ten commandment, but a greater Law than the Law given to the children of Israel. The scriptures also tell us that a covenant greater than that of Israelites is what we operate in (ref.: Hebrews 7:22), so why are you focusing on what is expired (ref.: Hebrews 8:13). And guess what? Jesus is our Law, our life, and our everything. There is nothing that we need in this life that is not in Jesus, and this is what the church leader is to teach the church, to know Jesus intimately, which is the true meaning of eternal life according to Jesus Himself, (ref.: John 17:3).

When you try to keep the Law, you do it using your human strength, and ability, and not being led by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, when every child of God do this, we would end up with different opinions as to how to please God, and this is what has been happening which has scattered the church in disunity. But when we focus and fix our hearts and minds on Jesus, we would all be led by the same Holy Spirit, speaking one voice to all, and everyone would go about his business, by being led by the Holy Spirit according to the skill given to him by God. But we would all speak the same language of focus on Christ, it is there and then that the church would listen to God on His plans and purposes for our lives on how to transform this world, and we would carry it out according to what assignment He gives us. This is the way there would be growth in the church and decrease in corruption.

The Church Growth and Corruption Growth (Part 1)

Happy Weekend everyone,

Yesterday, my focus was on knowing why there is a continuous increase in corruption even when there is an increase in church growth. I observed that the church does not speak one language, and they all claim to be led by the Holy Spirit. But the Holy Spirit is One person and not many persons, thus, if they truly have the Holy Spirit, the church would agree with the same thing, also with Christ who has the exact same Spirit.

In my quest to find out why the church has lost focus, as they are the solution in saving the world, I found out something which my Friend—the Holy Spirit revealed to me, and this is what I would share with you today.

First of all, we must understand that we cannot mix Law and Grace, it is like trying to mix oil and water, it won’t blend. That aside which I’ll come back to. The reason why the church has lost focus is that many churches are self-centred. OK, that sounds like a surprise, or what exactly do I mean by the church being self-centred?

Before receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and new life, we all were striving to please God by using various means possible, means established ourselves. The children of Israel, however, were given a way they could walk with God, but even after establishing a tabernacle and the Law, they couldn’t fit because their spirit wasn’t one with God, so was the whole world. So, if Man wasn’t led by the Holy Spirit, they were led by their guts, and this is being self-centred.

But the moment you receive Jesus as Lord, the old man dies, and Jesus takes over as the new man, where we also receive the Holy Spirit as the part the package, He dwells in us.

The Bible tells us that we are to be led by the Holy Spirit and we won’t gratify the desires of the flesh of human nature without God. This implies that if truly One person is speaking to us, and also leading us, we are meant to go the same route and have one understanding, just like the children of Israel as God used Moses to lead them through the wilderness. There was no separate camp going a different way claiming to be led by God, they all followed one person—God, through Moses, so, why is this not the case in the body of Christ?

Now, to the reason for all this self-centredness is because many are focusing more on themselves and boasting on what they do for God, rather than focusing on God and what He wants us to do. This is the issue because many of us have mixed the human knowledge with the knowledge of Christ which has polluted the message. And once you pollute the message, and go by it, then you are no longer led by the Holy Spirit anymore, you are led by your Ph.D. degree, your certification created by ungodly men.

To be led by the Holy Spirit means none of you, and all of Jesus Christ, but this is not the case today, because just the way everybody is unique in their own way, so is their dependence on their certification different. Therefore, as each man follows himself, it would definitely be different from the next person, and this is why the church doesn’t have one voice. And when they do not have one voice, they would definitely not do what God has called them to do, and this is why the world is getting more corrupt by the second because those who are to sweep corruption away are being distracted. And who is the king of distraction? The devil!

This is just a phase to why many churches have lost focus. Tomorrow, I’ll explain the second phase and what the church should focus on. Don’t miss it!

The Church Growth and Corruption Growth (Intro)

Hello everyone,

I looked around the world and found out that churches are on the increase, but corruption in the world is also on the increase, whereas, it is meant to reduce since churches are on the increases, especially in a country where I reside. What could be wrong?

I happened to visit a couple of churches to worship and to pay attention to the message being given, it appeared everything seemed alright. This was quite puzzling to me as to why there were divisions in the church and still, there is an increase in church planting. Of course, any time I get confused I meet my best Friend—the Holy Spirit to tell me what I didn’t see, and I got the answer which I observed with other visits to churches, and the way Christians portray themselves.

Apostle Paul said there is no other foundation that is already laid which is Christ Jesus, (ref.: 1 Corinthians 3:11). Also, Hebrews 12:2 tells us to fix our eyes on Jesus, the author, and finisher of our faith. It goes to show that when we place our lives in Christ Jesus and allow Him to be our foundation, by allowing Him to lead us, then we would speak the same thing.

The Spirit of Jesus Who is the Holy Spirit is a person and not many persons, in other words, He is the same person who dwells in every child of God, which implies that when He says a thing through Mr. A, it should be agreeable with Mr. B. Thus, the Spirit in each true child of God and in Jesus Christ Himself is the same Holy Spirit, and not many Spirits claiming to be the Holy Spirit. If this is so, then why do we have churches disagreeing with each other?

The answer is that a large part of the church has lost focus on what Jesus asked us to do. So, why did the message in the church sound OK to me, and what did I learn was the reason for the church losing focus? Log on same time tomorrow as I tell what the church is focusing on which is making them ineffective in the quest to transform the world.
