How Bad Do You Need Change?

Wow, it’s been awhile I’ve posted a blog. Today’s write-up is a continuation of my last write-up which I would advise you to read or read again in order to connect with today’s write-up.

In my last write-up, I made it clear that everything that we face here on earth is as a result of our thoughts and confessions, in other words, there are no accidents here on earth, it all boils down to what we’ve been pondering or thinking about and what we’ve been confessing regularly. Whatever you focus on for long eventually leads to our actions. I ended the last write-up with a question, which was to know what we are to focus on and what we are not to focus on. The reason for this question was because the power of choice lies in our hands individually, no one can make your choices for you. And as I explained, many times we have made choices which have turned out to be the wrong choices, then how do we make the right choice without any flaw?

Every human depends on something which serves as a guide in making decisions of life, and in many ways, these guides are the theories propounded by great scholars, which we attain through education. But it appears that these theories contain flaws when put to use. There is no perfect theory created by man for situations and circumstances. And as a result of this, there have been several misunderstanding in getting things done. How do we get things done perfectly?

There is a person who has solved all the algorithms of your life and knows all the permutations and combinations ahead of you, in other words, he knows the right choices you are to make and the ones you are not to make accurately. He is ready to guide you on what to think about and confess, which would result in the perfect action for the perfect situation. Who is this person?

Many of us may roll our eyes as I tell you He is the Holy Spirit or the Spirit of Jesus. But it is the truth, what sense is there to continue to live a life of probability and get things wrong than for you to know the exact thing you are to do and get things right with the help of the Holy Spirit? It may sound too good to be true, but it’s true, or how else did Jesus do it? Don’t say He was the Son of God, but you become a Son of God the moment you receive Jesus into your life, and the scriptures say, as Christ is so are you in this world! (ref. 1 John 4:17). The only issue we have is unbelief.

In order for us to believe, the scriptures are there for our study and meditation, these are what we are to focus on, and then the Holy Spirit then interprets to us by guiding our day. The scriptures also say God’s word is a lamp to our feet and a light unto our path, (Psalm 119:105). All we have to do is just believe, but we won’t be able to believe unless we have studied who we truly are through the scriptures, and not another man’s theory. The Holy Spirit reveals to us the story of our lives and what we are to do and why, in other words, we are being guided by knowing the right thoughts to think and the right words to confess, which eventually benefits us through our actions.

Excellent and groundbreaking ideas which would transform the world for the better are what the Holy Spirit reveals to us; groundbreaking ideas such as the cure to cancer, the solution to economic problems, and much more are revealed to us. We then know why we are here on earth, what we are meant to do here on earth and not doing the general norms, without being unique which are full of errors.

So, whatever thing we face is as a result of our focus, but with the Holy Spirit in us we know what exactly we are to focus on and at the right time, if you think what I said is not accurate, then prove me wrong.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

Why It Has Always Been Your Concern

Hello everyone,

Recently, I’ve been writing on the Wisdom of God and how important she is in our lives, because without her we won’t find a headway in what we do; to be able to discern accurately, and in making right and excellent decisions, it is so expedient to know that without Wisdom, this cannot be achieved. Today, however, I’d like to revisit an area I’ve written about just for emphasis, which I feel won’t be too much because it concerns every one of us, and this area is why we pray and don’t get anything. I’d look at this and explain why this is so, and also proffer the solution.

Everyone, goes through one challenge or the other, it could be that you don’t have enough money, or you don’t have the Mr or Mrs. Right to marry, or you have a health issue and many more. The truth which I established a long time ago is that honestly speaking, this is not God’s concern in the real sense, but our concern and why is this so? When God spoke to the earth in Genesis, there was one major thing He said several times, which is: be fruitful and multiply. These lines affect everything that we do on earth, in other words, it was a principle God established here on earth.

To be fruitful and multiply, doesn’t just imply to childbearing alone, it refers also to our thought pattern. Man on his own is very inquisitive and doesn’t like to remain on a spot for too long, just as time passes by, so does man want to improve or to change, this is the result of the way we think. Where am I driving at? The thought of man must be fed to produce fruits, in other words, what we think about are like seeds, which when we keep pondering over and over and over again becomes like watering these seeds which would eventually be fruitful and multiply, and eventually, it results to our actions.

I posted a write-up a while ago that words are more powerful than actions, and why did I say that? I said that because there are no actions without words. Our actions or the events we face in life are just the results of what we ponder and speak about, for there are no accidents. The earth is so much organised that nothing happens by accident, everything that we face is the effect of a cause created. All the chaos we face today are as a result of the decision Adam made in Genesis 3, but then again we could change if we wanted to.

So, back to challenges that we face, which I listed above, the question I’ll ask you today is, “what have you been thinking of?” and as I said, this doesn’t have to do with religion or prayer, it only has to do with what you’ve been pondering and confessing every day. I’ll tell you the truth, I’ve come to the understanding that every event that happens in my life is clearly because of what I ponder and confess. You may not in many cases need to confess things, but the most important thing is what have you’ve been pondering about?

We were designed by God to only focus on a thing at a time. There is no simultaneous way of focus, if you think I’m kidding, try listening to two people simultaneously, you’ll find out that even though you claimed to listen to both parties at the same time, what really happened was that you were quickly inter-switching parties, when listening to them and you thought you were listening to both parties simultaneously. The same goes with every other sense.

The fruit is a reflection of the type of seed planted, so if you plant the thought of wealth in your heart and keep on pondering over it over and over again, it would lead to the fruit of wealth, the same goes with every other thing here on earth. But just as some fruits differ in days, weeks, months and even years to sprout, the same is said of our lives also. Remember, it is what you ponder about that leads to your reality.

But the question now is couldn’t there be opposing forces of focus, in other words, can’t a person counter my focus? The truth is that you can only decide for yourself alone and not anybody else. The power of choice lies in your hands. For instance, if you focus on wealth for yourself, it carries more force than for some else to focus on you not having the wealth. The only reason why you won’t have the wealth is that you chose not to have wealth and not the other person’s focus. It is you and you alone, not even God can force you to make a choice, no matter how much you are compelled, the choice they make any decision rests in your hands.

The question now is how do you know what and what not to focus on? It would imply that we need a guide from someone who knows us better than we know ourselves right? Or else we could be focusing on the wrong thing thinking it is the right thing that we regret later, this is why mistakes keep happening, because of wrong choices, and remember you cannot redeem the time. Log on next time as I unravel the second half of this powerful topic.

The Importance of Wisdom

Happy New Week everyone,

As I wrote in my last blog on how to identify wisdom, I said that wisdom is everywhere as we move along, but it is only the Spirit of Truth or the Spirit of Wisdom that would lead you to what wisdom is, and this is by receiving this Spirit into your life. Also, wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her. Today, I’ll explain why wisdom is actually and truly better than rubies, gold, riches, and why nothing can be compared with her. In other words, why is it better to choose wisdom over wealth?

Have you wondered why at your workplace some people seem to get promoted quickly, faster than others and in a genuine way or why some people just become billionaires all of a sudden in a genuine way? The reason why all these happen is because of Wisdom. I explained before that as God gave King Solomon wisdom and wealth above every man on earth, it didn’t just happen that money fell from the sky, or that he went to his wardrobe and money appeared, no, it was because of his great wisdom.

The words of King Solomon were treasure, words which everyone wanted to listen to you. The value of his words was so high that wise and great men all around the world came to listen to him. And because they knew his words had so much value that they brought gifts and treasures along for King Solomon. King Solomon’s words weren’t just like sweet music to the ears of the listeners, rather they were bringing about solutions to problems. A popular scenario is a time when two harlots both claimed to be the mother of a baby, and there was the need to know who the true mother was. King Solomon with his wisdom was able to find out who the true mother was. There was peace in the land just because of the Wisdom of Solomon. A type of this Wisdom is what smart men use today to invent great things.

Man has wisdom, however, his wisdom isn’t pure and as a result, there would be flaws in the long run. The wisdom of God is pure and sincere, full of righteousness. To have wisdom implies you have knowledge and understanding, it is then the right application of the knowledge and understanding that brings out wisdom.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth and Wisdom, He knows the end from the beginning, thus knowing all things because He is God! He is the One who would dwell in you when you receive Jesus into your life, and all you have to do is trust, cling, rely on and believe in Him, because everything He says is true and righteous. But there are challenges to this that we all face which are: the challenge of fear, doubt, and unbelief to the Word of God, which in turn is to the Spirit of Truth which of course must and should align itself with the Word of God.

Many of us still judge with our five senses, but what we always fail to understand is that the Spirit of Jesus is accurate, because He knows the end from the beginning and He is the Spirit of Truth. But we judge based on human logic and then assume with the use probability. Just because an event happened a particular way, with a particular result, and then a similar event happens doesn’t necessarily imply it would have the same result. Humans assume, but God doesn’t.

As we believe in the Spirit of Truth, He directs our lives on what we are to do and how we are to live, because He knows that once we follow His directions, we would always break grounds in the end. But what is sad most times is that we fail to follow Wisdom because when the Spirit of Truth guides us, it seems to contradict the general logic of man and we would conclude that if we follow it, we would appear crazy in the eyes of others, and this is where doubt, fear and unbelief sets in.

It is important to know that the true Wisdom will never fail us as long as we follow everything she tells us. The Word of God is full of Wisdom, then asking God Christ to dwell in you is allowing the Spirit of Truth and Wisdom to dwell in you. And as you study and meditate the Word of God which is full of Wisdom, the Spirit of Truth then guides you, and as a result of constant meditation on the Word of God and being directed by the Spirit of Truth, when you see Wisdom on the streets, you then recognise her.

Remember, God understands that He must always take the glory, so why would He give you directions that would fail, just think about it. All you have to do is just believe, rely on, trust and cling to Him and see how you use Wisdom in your daily life and Solomon won’t even match up to your standard because the fullness of Wisdom dwells in you.

How To Identify Wisdom (Part 1)

Happy Weekend Everyone,

People always want to know, and knowledge here is to know what wisdom is, in other words, how can wisdom be identified? Jesus is wisdom, and as Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 1:24, Jesus is the Power and Wisdom of God. He also stated on Colossians 2:3, about Christ that, “in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” So, it is safe to say that Jesus is the embodiment of wisdom and knowledge. Still, this would not be clear enough to elaborate my point, so let’s take a look at Proverbs 8:1-4 which says,
“Does not wisdom cry out, and understanding lift up her voice? She takes her stand on the top of the high hill, beside the way, where the paths meet. She cries out by the gates, at the entry of the city, at the entrance of the doors: To you, O men, I call, and my voice is to the sons of men.”
This is the platform for understanding that wisdom is everywhere. A person could speak words of wisdom; a simple thing as the closing of the door; a bird chirping, they all could be wisdom crying out.

The heart of man on its own cannot decipher things accurately, but as I said, the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are found in Jesus, He is the one who would make you know when wisdom calls, in other words, how to decipher correctly and accurately. Now, letting Jesus into your life gives you access to the Holy Spirit who is the Spirit of Jesus or the Spirit of Truth who directs your every move or calls your attention to wisdom.

Now, Proverbs 8:7-8 explains to us how to identify wisdom, it says, “For my mouth will speak the truth; wickedness is an abomination to my lips. All the words of my mouth are with righteousness; nothing crooked or perverse is in them.”

Proverbs 8:7-8 is referring to the characteristics of the person in you, who is the Spirit of Truth, who is the Spirit of Jesus. So, He recognises His handiwork and alerts you, this is where perfection comes in. However, it is left to you to follow wisdom or not to follow wisdom, but the truth is that the Spirit of Jesus would always identify wisdom so as not to fall into that which appears as wisdom but is not.

It appears so simple, right? Yes and No, it is simple, because of the process, however, in getting there, you must be focused and not be double-minded to achieve this purpose. Being determined in getting to know wisdom at its finest doesn’t take a day’s work, but consistency is the way out because Proverbs 8:10 and 11 says, “Receive my instruction, and not silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold; for wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her." Let me be very honest with you, these are not just mere words of advice, it is the truth, wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her. If you think I’m joking let me show you why next time.

Understanding Wisdom (Part 2)

Hello everyone,

In my last blog, I wrote on understanding wisdom, which we shouldn’t take for granted. Wisdom is the proper application of knowledge, but there is a wisdom which surpasses all other types of wisdom which is the wisdom of God. The wisdom from above is pure and without flaws, which is the wisdom Solomon asked for. I made it clear that God blessed Solomon with wealth beyond any man on the face of the earth, and it is because of his high level of wisdom. As he interacted with people, his wisdom brought wealth to him. He was honoured everywhere he went, because of his wisdom.

I made it clear last time that wisdom is a person, and Jesus gave us a clue He was wisdom is in Matthew 12:42 and Luke 11:31, but when you link those verses with Proverbs 8:23, John 1:1 and 1 Corinthians 1:24, then it would be safe to conclude that Jesus is wisdom.

I observed something that made me ponder for a while, it was on the fact that every theory ever created by man has both advantages and disadvantages. I stopped and asked a friend of mine why there wasn’t any theory without disadvantages. This implies that there was no theory created which didn’t its flaws, and this is because they were created from the fallen nature, the carnal mind, where no one would find perfection and which is why there is always chaos in the world. And these theories are created from the wisdom of men. So, why use the wisdom of men, when there is the wisdom of God?

Apostle James in James 3:17 described the wisdom of God to us, “But the wisdom from above is first of all pure (undefiled); then it is peace-loving, courteous (considerate, gentle). [It is willing to] yield to reason, full of compassion and good fruits; it is wholehearted and straightforward, impartial and unfeigned (free from doubts, wavering, and insincerity).” AMP. Now, by following the wisdom from above, what would the result be? James 3:18 gives us the answer, “And the harvest of righteousness (of conformity to God’s will in thought and deed) is [the fruit of the seed] sown in peace by those who work for and make peace [in themselves and in others, that peace which means concord, agreement, and harmony between individuals, with undisturbedness, in a peaceful mind free from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts.]” AMP. This is true because, in the reign of King Solomon, he had complete peace till he turned away from God/wisdom which can be seen in 1 Kings 11.

The question now is how can we gain access to wisdom, because many would ask that wisdom is so abstract, how would they know what wisdom is? Even though I said Jesus is wisdom, gaining access to the wisdom itself would be to know how to identify it. Log on next time as I address this question.

Understanding Wisdom (Part 1)

Hello everyone,

As we move about, we gather information around us with the use of our senses, which when properly arranged by the brain or memory, it could serve as information which would be useful after being understood. Now, the proper application of knowledge is wisdom, but they come in various degrees which makes a person wiser than the other. Today, I’ll be taking a look at wisdom.

Wisdom is a very powerful thing, it is abstract in nature, but without it everything would go wrong. Many of us haven’t really understood that it is wisdom that gets things done, maybe at work or anywhere. Yes, we need knowledge and we need to understand this knowledge, but these are theoretical, the practical side is wisdom, which is the expected to be the perfect application of knowledge, but do we all have the ability to apply knowledge perfectly? It is this imperfection that leads to flaws and errors.

When Solomon, King David’s son became King, he asked for wisdom, and when God saw that that was what he wanted, He gave Solomon wisdom beyond any man on earth, and He gave him riches and honour far more than any man on earth that would ever live. After this, happened, it wasn’t that Solomon just went to his closet and saw millions appear all of a sudden or the best horses just appeared, how did God’s word come to pass concerning Solomon’s wealth? It was through his profound wisdom! Solomon’s wisdom was so great that those who came to visit him honoured him with gifts which grew. This was the hand of God in the life of Solomon.

Solomon did not operate with the common wisdom of man, but with the wisdom of God. God’s wisdom is the perfect wisdom which contains no flaws. Wisdom is what is used to solve problems and bring in solution. But as I said, the wisdom of man is full of flaws, and as this is so, we must seek a higher calling which is to gain access to that wisdom which Solomon had access to. But the truth here is that the wisdom of God is a person.

God is not a man that He should lie when Jesus referred to Himself as one who is greater than Solomon [ref. Matthew 12:42; Luke 11:31], did that mean God was lying? No, it only came to establish that Jesus Himself is the wisdom of God, and Apostle Paul acknowledged this in 1 Corinthians 1:24. This goes to show that as you receive Christ into your life, you receive the fullness of God’s wisdom into your life, which is why it would be a shame if any Son of God isn’t full of wisdom, that means he or she doesn’t know that stuff he or she is made up of.

I have said it before and I will say it again, the Sons of God are the solution to the world’s problems, as Apostle Paul said in Romans 8:19. Know who you are made up of and see Christ move through you.

Always Test All Spirit

Hello everyone,

I’ve been able to identify some ways Jesus was able to identify it was the devil who was speaking to Him in His temptation, both in Matthew 4 and Luke 4, and how these ways could also be used by us in tracking down the devil when he comes deceiving. Today’s write-up is sort of a way to round up the yesterday’s topic.

As Sons of God, one thing is very important, and that is to be well grounded in the Word of God. The reason is that the Holy Spirit in every Son of God depends on the Word of God to function, in other words, the Word of God is used to check the spirit that speaks, if it is of the Holy Spirit or not. Also, the Word of God is used as the sword of the spirit, that which is used to kick off the devil at every point in time. The bible says, resist the devil and he will flee from you [ref. James 4:7], and how you do that is by using the Word of God for that situation, and this was what Jesus did all through when He was being tempted of the devil till He kicked him away using the Word of God [ref.: Matthew 4:1-11; Luke 4:1-13].

There is one message and that is about Christ’s crucifixion, burial, and resurrection and its meaning and benefit to the world by the grace bestowed upon us. The moment any message goes outside this, it is no longer of Christ anymore. Now, this is important because many times, we could hear the Word of God from a person and at another time, we could hear a message which is not from God, therefore of the devil. Now, this doesn’t mean that the person who was speaking the Word of God was later possessed by the devil, not at all. We should understand that the devil cannot possess a person who has the Holy Spirit in him, the way the devil gets to pass his message across to spirit-filled people are through suggestions. The devil could suggest a thing and the person could see the idea as a good one and would then propagate the wrong message. This is why we as Sons of God are to be well grounded in the Word of God in order to discern the spirit behind every spoken word. Jesus did this with Peter when Peter was rebuking Him from going to the cross [ref.: Matthew 16:21-23]. It may sound like a person who is concerned, we shouldn’t be led astray, even though it may sound like a person who cares for you, the truth is it would always contradict that which God has called you for. Remember, the devil comes as a wolf in sheep clothing, who also pretend as an angel of light, we all have to be careful because he is a deceiver [ref.: Matthew 7:15; 2 Corinthians 11:14].

We are to be alert at every time, not being carried away by every wind of doctrine no matter how nice it sounds. The devil doesn’t like you, isn’t sympathetic and would do everything to ensure your downfall. Be on guard, he is not more powerful than you, remember, Jesus has disarmed him of all his abilities, so don’t make the same mistake Adam made, by giving him powers he doesn’t possess by thinking he is powerful. This is how people get defeated by the devil because they feel the devil is powerful and once he sees your folly, he capitalises on it by working on your mind. This is why you need to know who you are Christ and also where you stand. Always test the spirit.
