You've Got To Persevere

Hello everyone,

There is a spiritual revolution, which is what I have been writing about recently. It may appear as if I’m over flogging the issue, but I don’t think I’ve started, the reason is because the level of unbelief in the world is so chronic that it is hard to completely digest the new covenant into the system of many who hear it, or I’d rather say, many haven’t heard it enough, because it is the true definition of the Good News those born of God are meant to spread.

The world flows with a certain pattern, the Word of God is completely against it as it flows the opposite direction. To elaborate further, the world is a system of blind people who have learnt how to move about. They see being blind as normal and cannot comprehend how to see because as far as they know, it doesn’t exist. Whereas, Jesus came to bring sight to the blind, not just the physically blind, but the spiritually blind. To those who have had their eyes opened have been given the mission by Jesus Himself to open the eyes of everyone on the face of the earth, but the sad part of the story is along the way, some people who were given the mandate to open the eyes of the blind did not properly understand the mission and as such passed wrong teachings, which has made many churches blind themselves.

What we must understand is that the Sons of God are meant to save the world, thus following in the footsteps of Jesus, and also carrying His spirit in them, [ref.: Romans 8:19]. It was to prevent the Sons of God spreading the wrong message that Apostle Paul said to Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:10, “Therefore I [am ready to] persevere and stand my ground with patience and endure everything for the sake of the elect [God’s chosen], so that they too may obtain [the] salvation which is in Christ Jesus, with [the reward of eternal glory.” AMP. It is just the world is infected with a virus, but don’t know they have a virus, let alone need a cure. It is not a task for the less mature, but for the mature.

If the Sons of God don’t get the Great Commission right by making disciples with the true message, then the world would see us as an unserious set of people, and won’t believe in God, which has started happening. People don’t believe in God, let alone the finished work of Jesus because those who are sent could not defend what they believe, and when people are not convinced, you’re just wasting your time. This goes to show that many Sons of God/those born of God have been involved in the life of the civilian, in other words, they have been distracted. This is what the devil wants, but it’s not what Jesus wants. So, how do we stop this from happening? Log on next time to know what should be done.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

Put Your Spiritual Ears To The Ground

Hi everyone,

Previously, I focused on 2 Timothy 2:5-7 where Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy that just as a hard-working farmer would put his best into his produce to partake of his fruits, and as a person in a competitive game and all he does to work according to the rules and being fair, so also a person who intends to be a minister of the word should put similar effort or even more, because of his life and the life of those he would impact, in other words, he should not take the word for granted. I ended last time that many of the ministers condemn people who fall into sin, so is this right or wrong? I’ll address this and more.

We must understand that if ministers condemn those who sin, they won’t get any improvement, and in so doing, the body of Christ gets religious and those who are to be saved won’t come to Christ or the church in this case, why? Because of condemnation. But many ministers would say they don’t condemn people who sin. Well, they would say that because they don’t know that their actions are defined as condemnation in the real sense.

I have written on this aspect before, when a person who is in the body of Christ sins, it is not right for the minister to condemn the person, but the action, and it should be done in love by pointing the person to the foundation.

Hebrews 12:2 says, “Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]…” AMP. Jesus is one we are to fix our mind, our thought, our being on. We have become one with Him and as He is so are we in this world, [ref.: Romans 8:17; 1 John 4:17], He is the one the ministers to direct the person who fell into sin too, because He is our strength and our faith, for without Him we can do nothing, [ref.: John 15:5]. But falling into sinful actions as one born of God is a result of ignorance, for to fall into sin implies there is lack of study and meditation on the word of God which would show us who we are right now in Christ or the ministers are preaching and teaching the wrong messages which would make the listeners go back home and study off point, just because the foundation is properly emphasised. It is because of these that Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:8 which says, “Constantly keep in mind Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [as] risen from the dead, [as the prophesied King] descended from David, according to the good news (the Gospel) that I preach.” AMP.

What meant in 2 Timothy 2:8 is that once your mind is always fixed on what Christ has obtained for us based on His resurrection which He has given to us by Grace, this is the good news he preached and that is what he wanted Timothy to keep in mind. Our focus in the new covenant has shifted from ourselves to Christ. The reason is because, we can never do it right, so it is just a waste of time for the minister to condemn the person because the flesh can never get it right, but when we come understand that Christ is now our life, the only common sense to do is to study Christ because He is now your life!

Just as the man and his wife become flesh, likewise you and Christ have become one in Spirit. So, the study and meditation of the Christ is to awaken your new life; unlike the old covenant where God and man were two separate entities, man constantly struggled to meet up to God’s standard through the law, this new covenant needs to be meditated upon every day and night to be transformed and live the real life, so it is Christ we focus on and not our sin, because the more we focus on Him we get refreshed and our sinful actions wear out just because we get clearer and clearer to us that we are now the righteousness of God, [ref.: 2 Corinthians 5:21].

If any minister emphasises on your self-performance towards God instead of directing you to Christ and focusing on Him because He is your new life, then you need to leave that place because you cannot GROW in GRACE and in the KNOWLEDGE of Christ Jesus. Put your ears to the ground.

Don't Take The Word For Granted

Hello everyone,

My focus in write-ups have been on 2 Timothy 2, where the key verse in 15, which says, “Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth.” AMP. This verse brings out the importance of the state of our hearts which should be eager to present ourselves to God approved at all levels, which implies that we would be working in line with what our Lord Jesus has called us for, being careful to follow in detail exactly what the scriptures say, thus walking in the Spirit with total confidence, without any mixture of adulterated materials. In this write-up, I still continue from the verse I stopped in my last write-up.

Verse 5-7 of 2 Timothy says, “And if anyone enters competitive games, he is not crowned unless he completes lawfully (fairly, accordingly to the rules laid down). [It is] the hard-working farmer [who labors to produce] who must be the first partaker of the fruits. Think over these things I am saying [understand them and grasp their application], for the Lord will grant you full insight and understanding in everything.” AMP. Looking at these verses which were just quoted, Apostle Paul told Timothy that the things of God are not things he was to take for granted, and just as one enters competitive games, the person isn’t crowned unless he has proven himself worthy, through a fair play according to the law, in the vein, it is a person who takes whatever he puts his hand into seriously that would yield great result.

Also, the hard-working farmer was used as an illustration, that a hard-working farmer is the one who labours to produce and he is the one who would first partake of the fruits, likewise, as the hard-working farmer or the one who enters competitive games and all that they have to go through to get great result, so also is the expectation of anyone born of God, most especially the teachers.

Paul’s emphasis was on the teachers because the confusion we find today in the body of Christ is as a result of a teacher who wasn’t well grounded in the Word and was ordained to teach the Word. We shouldn’t be carried away by eloquent speeches, what we are to focus on is the Word of God if it corresponds to Jesus died to achieve and obtain through His resurrection. The sad aspect is that many teachers mix the old and new covenant which is not right.

The old covenant is about our self-effort in pleasing God, following laws which were not part of our lives, being forced to obey them in order to please God, or else we die. On the other hand, the new covenant is the establishment of a brand new life where Jesus is the first born, so as we enter this new covenant, everything that Jesus has right now automatically belongs to us, simply by believing that’s all. Another important thing is that we now have a brand new life with the Holy Spirit living in us directing our path in line with our new life which is the new life of God. This is what we need to understand and what we need to be reminded every day as we study and meditate, and by our teachers [Pastors, Apostles, Evangelists, and so on]. Now, why do many ministers condemn us when we fall into sin, is this right or wrong?

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

Be On The Look Out

Hello everyone,

In my last write-up, I looked at the second chapter of the second letter of Apostle to Timothy. Still, on my emphasis on knowing what message we are to listen to, thus being able to identify the true message from the fake message, I looked at 2 Timothy 2:15 which was about being properly grounded on the Word of God especially when it has to do with teaching the Word. I then started a proper view at what made Paul make this statement by looking at chapter two of the letter, because Apostle Paul wrote was concerned about the church and didn’t want anyone who isn’t well grounded in the Word to become a teacher, in other words only persons who are properly grounded in the Word with true understanding could become teachers, and these are people Timothy was to look out for. Today, I would continue going through the chapter.

To continue from where I stopped, let’s look at 2 Timothy 2: 3 and 4, “Take [with me] your share of hardship and suffering [which you are called to endure] as a good (first-class) soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of [civilian] life; his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him.” AMP. To understand these verses, what Apostle Paul passed across to Timothy was that, those who have received Christ should always be alert as a soldier. As a soldier, you don’t give room for any form of distraction, you should be aware of your surroundings, in this case, is the world. The devil is always ready to bring deceit to people by taking them away from the truth, and a true soldier should be alert and be able to identify with tricks of the devil.

Paul reminded Timothy the hardship and suffering him, [Timothy] went through to ensure that the Word remained what it was. Now, what must remain is the foundation which Christ called us into; the reason is that once the foundation is gotten right, whatever we build on it is led by Holy Spirit. The foundation has to do with the victory we have gotten through the Grace of Jesus Christ, becoming joint heirs with Christ, being taken away from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of Christ, [ref.: Colossians 1:13].

We should always be alert in order identify the schemes of the devil and would be meditating on the Word of God and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead you since the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ who is the Spirit of God. By doing this, you would be alert, just as Jesus was at all times, an example was His temptation by the devil.

To be engaged in civilian affairs is dangerous because it is full of distractions, which gives room for the devil to plant his seed. A person who is easily distracted, even if he is always the first to get to church and has the highest degree, cannot teach the Word because he won’t know when he teaches adulterated Truth. Be on the alert because distractions are around the corner.

Never Miss The Bullseye

Happy Sunday everyone,

My emphasis lately has been on how we could identify the true message of Christ from the wrong teachings which many churches today receive. There are churches which they unknowingly deviate from the truth, but Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:15, which says, “Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analysing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth.” AMP. What this means is that, the ordained leaders of churches are to be very sound in the Word of God, thus always focused on the Truth and not deviating, not even an inch, it is with this form of stability that they pass the message of Truth to the church, because it is very easy for the Truth to be adulterated. The question now is to know what led Apostle Paul to write this verse. In order to find out, I’ll take a look at 2 Timothy 2 from verse 1 down to 15, to get a clearer picture for proper edification.

Using the Amplified version, verse 1 and 2 of 2 Timothy 2 says, “SO YOU, my son, be strong (strengthened inwardly) in the grace (spiritual blessing) that is [to be found only] in Christ Jesus. And the [instructions] which you have heard from me along with many witnesses, transmit and entrust [as a deposit] to reliable and faithful men who will be competent and qualified to teach others also.” What Paul meant here was that first of all as Timothy had received the undiluted Word of God (the Truth) which is ONLY found in Jesus Christ, he should transmit the exact message of Truth to faithful men who are competent and qualified to teach others.

Apostle Paul emphasised on the fact that Timothy shouldn’t just ordain teacher anyhow, but he should ensure that those whom he would ordain are people who properly understood the Word of Truth properly without any flaws. The essence was because if this isn’t done, the message would be adulterated and when they also want to pass the message forward would do the same and the message would just get adulterated more and more till the Truth is lost completely, this was and still is the reason why any minister of Christ must be well grounded on the foundation, who is Jesus Christ and the benefits of His resurrection in our lives and its importance would eventually deviate from the truth.

Log on next time as I continue to explain chapter 2 of the second letter of Apostle Paul to Timothy.

Let's Get The Truth Straight

Happy weekend everyone,

Previously, I went back to the rudiments to explain the reason for the cross, thus the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the victory He achieved when He resurrected. All these were to establish the truth that Jesus took away all the curse from your life; in the new life which is at peace with God, there is no curse. This is so because if there is still curse in your life, or if God could curse you based on something that you did wrong, then implies that you were not completely free from all your iniquities and it also means that God is a liar, for He said under the new covenant, our sins and iniquities He would by no means remember, [ref.: Isaiah 43:25; Hebrews 8:12, 10:17]. So, the true message of love, which has to do with the victory of Jesus is embedded in the new covenant, and this should be what the church should be preaching in the church today, and this is what I would look into now.

When you receive Jesus into your life with the baptism of the Holy Spirit, you receive the Holy Spirit into your life, but many of us forget the Holy Spirit in many things we do. The Holy Spirit is our teacher, counsellor, helper, guardian, the One who is there to help transform our lives, the One who directs our every step here on earth and our great interpreter. We have often neglected the Holy Spirit, so it is because of this neglect, we then say things like the new covenant of Grace has given us the license to sin, and it is only those who don’t recognise the presence of the Holy Spirit and who He is that would say that. 1 John 3:9 says, “No one born (begotten) of God [deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin, for God’s nature abides in him [His principle of life, the divine sperm, remains permanently within him]; and he cannot practice sinning because he is born (begotten) of God.” AMP.

The church is to dwell on victory Jesus acquired and has given us and those ordained by God such as Pastors, Apostles etc., are to guide the church on how to get closer to God through the Holy Spirit. The emphasis should be on allowing the Holy Spirit to guide our lives to fall according to the victory Jesus gave us by Grace which we didn’t merit in the first place.

The Bible says we are joint heirs with Jesus, [ref.: Romans 8:17], which implies that everything that Jesus owns, we own also through the Grace. Our soul was full of the wrongs of the old nature, this is what the ordained ministers of God are to call the church’s attention to of who they are now in Christ, because, Romans 12:2 says, “Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].” AMP. As you keep meditating on the Word, the Holy Spirit helps refresh you with your new Spirit because the Word of God would have gone to the deepest part of your being and help you conform with your new life, why is this so? Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energising, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analysing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.” AMP.

The Bible says that God’s intention of ordaining these ministers is for:
“…the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church), [that it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [full and accurate] knowledge of Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.” Ephesians 4:12-13 AMP.

Once you hear a message that doesn’t speak about the victory of Jesus in your life and how to draw closer to God through the Holy Spirit, thus knowing Jesus, emphasis on Jesus who is your new life then you are in the wrong place. The truth is that when you understand the love God shed on you, there would be a spiritual transformation in your life which would make you meditate more and more on the Word of God which is what the Holy Spirit is meant to do, to bring us in check with our new life—Christ Jesus.

Let's Go Back To The Rudiments

Hello everyone,

In my last write-up, I continued revealing the areas that have confused many people in the church today in terms of knowing what the true message is and what the fake one is. I have been able to identify what the true message is, of which any message that doesn’t hang on this truth is a deceit and lie from the devil. I emphasised on how morality has crept into the church and replaced Christ, just because morals are right doesn’t make it the word of God, and many preachers back up their claims with the Bible, of which many don’t know that when the Bible is wrongly used it could support any view you bring to it, unless you focus on the Truth and the true purpose of Who the Bible is focused on. Today, I would clarify several areas by revealing the deceit of the devil.

I said in my last write-up that morality has crept up into the church as the main message preached. Morality is good, but it is not the message that is to be preached. The true message is simply a love story of God and Man through Jesus Christ and not the teachings of the wrath that would befall you if certain things are not done.

What many fail to understand is that every curse that was originally placed on us were all placed on Jesus when He was on the cross, we were the ones who to be nailed to the cross for all our iniquities, but Jesus took our place because, it wasn’t only about being punished for our sins and iniquities, but also for the cleansing of our being and the establishment of a brand new creation. This is not what many preach in churches today. What many preach is all about self-effort on how we are to work hard by not sinning, this is simply because many do not understand what happened at the cross, and the devil doesn’t want you to know what happened.

Sin was never the action, and I would keep repeating this till the church stops teaching the wrong message. Sin was a life which was created by the first Adam. Just the way we have symptoms of sicknesses, likewise, this sinful life had symptoms, and they were the lust of the flesh, pride of life, the lying, stealing and all that we call sin. What we must understand is that we were all born with the sinful life, so it was normal and natural to sin. Preaching from now till eternity to stop sinning was a waste of time. Now if an individual had mastered the art of not displaying the “symptoms” of the sinful nature, such as stealing, fornication, lying and the rest, many would say the person doesn’t sin. But that is not true, because, sin is not the action but nature. The individual still had the sinful nature, which was against God.

Now for something to be against God means, not in line with God. God was meant to wipe out everyone who had this sinful nature, and since Adam was the first, and we all came from Adam, then everyone was meant to be wiped out. So, if you lived the life of a Pharisee, you were going to be wiped out, this is what led to the story of the cross, we needed someone who was a Man but not with the sinful nature to die in our place, to serve as the propitiation for our sins, for there to be  the redemption from the sinful life, and this was what Jesus came to do; He was born as a sacrifice to save the whole world from the sinful nature, in other words, He came to put an end to the sinful nature by dying in place, so every punishment we were to face was placed on Him. So we now understand that the nailing on the cross, not nothing compared to the pain of the weight of carrying the sin of the whole world, as 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness]” AMP.

Jesus went to hell on our behalf, but He could not be held down by the devil because He had a purpose of going to hell, which was to destroy the works of the devil and free us from our bondage of sinful oppression by disarming the principalities and powers of the devil, [ref.: 1 John 3:8; Colossians 2:15]. This is very important because when this was done God raised Jesus up from the grave and gave Him all authority in heaven and earth, and at the name of Jesus every knee must bow and every tongue must confess that Jesus is Lord, [ref.: Philippians 2:9-11]. This is the message that should be preached in the churches. You may say, this is the message for new converts, but what you fail to understand is that the insight to all these are strong meat for the mature which God wants us to chew in order to live our life. Log on to my next write-up as I still go deeper into unveiling the gospel truth.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.
