Nothing Can Harm You (Part 2)

Hello everyone,

Yesterday, I wrote on how the devil has been stripped off his powers permanently and how ignorance is the reason why we are not aware of this good news. Today, I’ll explain what the devil does today, that makes him appear powerful even when he is not, and what we must do in order not to fall into his trap again and how he can never harm you in any ways.

We must understand that Jesus has eliminated the virus, but in order to live that life, we need to do away with our body which is virus stricken by being born again under Jesus Christ [ref. Colossians 1:13]. Under this new kingdom is grace unlimited, a life we didn’t deserve to earn but was given to us free of charge just by believing. But again, why is there still chaos despite this, I said ignorance is the issue. Despite the truth that the devil has been stripped of his powers, he still goes about deceiving people that they are in bondage which is not true. He does this especially to those who don’t know they are free. This was the reason Jesus told the disciples to go into all the world and give people the good news that they are free from their bondage [ref. Matthew 28:19].

In order to know who you really are, you go through the book which has in detail everything that you are today in Jesus Christ that is the Bible which contains the words of God, all you have to do is just believe it. The moment you believe it you operate in the life of Jesus, because it is His life He has given us, which has no health challenges, because the God’s word says, by the stripes of Jesus you were healed [ref. 1 Peter 2:24]; in this new life, there is no financial issue, because God’s word says, God has blessed us with all Spiritual blessings [ref. Ephesian 1:3] and much more like these.

So, what does the devil do that make him appear powerful? A way he uses is that just because the world was under him, that mindset is which is fading off is what the devil comes over and suggests evil thoughts such as sickness, poverty, depression and much more. The truth which many of us do not know is that poverty, sickness, depression, diseases and any other thing that does not correspond to the new life in Christ has always been a figment of our imagination, because Jesus wiped all these things when He went to hell to take away the powers from the devil. But the sad thing is that because we are not properly equipped in the word of God we then believe what the devil says that you are poor or sick. He doesn’t have any powers, but he knows we do so we would be the ones to pronounce those things over ourselves after he has suggested the thought and that is how we’ve been deceived.

Haven’t you ever wondered why Jesus never fell ill for a second, He was not poor, He never had anything that wasn’t like His Father, because He was extremely conscious of who He was which is having the life of God flowing through Him. This was why He couldn’t fall for any of the devil’s schemes. This is how we ought to operate because we have the life of Christ flowing through us which we have to be conscious of. So if the devil suggests a thought to you that you are ill, immediately counter it with the word of God telling him saying, “devil no I can’t be ill because the word of God says, ‘by the stripes of Jesus I was made healed’ also ‘as Christ is so am I’ so get thee behind me!” [ref. 1 Peter 2:24; 1 John 4:17].

But if you’re not equipped with the word of God how would you resist the devil and his evil schemes of deceit? This is a food for thought for you.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

Nothing Can Harm You (Part 1)

It’s a brand new week, how’re you all doing?

Yesterday, I gave an introduction to what I intend to talk about today. As I established last time, many of us feel it is normal to be attacked by the devil, to be attacked with financial problems, health problems and so on. Well, to honest it is normal for this world because we live in a fallen world, a world that has been polluted with a virus, a virus that has eaten deep into the way of life of everyone who lives in this world. Now, the symptoms of this virus are poverty, depression, health challenges, violence, moral decadence, financial problems, just to name a few. And who do you think is the one lording all these over this world? The devil! But there is something about the devil that many people do not know of. And what could that be? The devil was stripped off of all his powers, actually, the powers weren’t his in the first place [ a story for another time].

Now, if the devil has been stripped off of all his powers, how come there is still chaos in the world? The answer is very simple, which is IGNORANCE. Just as Prophet Hosea said in Hosea 4:6a, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Jesus who was the only one who lived on earth without this virus became a sacrifice for us, so that we could live again [ref. John 3:16; Hebrews 9:22]. When Jesus went to the grave He ripped off all the powers of the devil, in order to save the WHOLE WORLD.

Colossians 2:13-15 says, “And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. The devil completely lost his powers, but many of us do not know this. Jesus, when God raised Him up, gave Him all authority and dominion, and at His name, every knee would bow and every tongue would confess that Jesus is Lord in heaven, earth and under the earth, and guess what? We have the opportunity of getting this same power [ref. Ephesians 1:17-21; Philippians 2:9-11].

We need to trust Jesus, really, what do you have to lose? The world is already messed up and someone has promised to share His kingdom with you just by trusting Him. This is where transformation happens and you wonder where certain people get such great insight into things, why they don’t fall sick, why they are always happy, are not moved when things like recession hit and much more. Why is this so? It is because they are in this world, but not of this world.

Tomorrow, I’ll explain what the devil does today, that makes him appear powerful even when he is not, and what we must do in order not to fall into his trap again and how he can never harm you in any ways.

Nothing Can Harm You [A Introduction]

Happy Sunday everyone!

Are you scared of sickness, diseases, financial problems, depression, attacks from the devil and the other similar things? Then look no further because you’ve come to the right place. Nice advert, right? But really people are really scared of these things, even I was so scared of two the problems I mentioned until I got hold of some scriptures that helped me understand I was an elephant afraid of a mouse, which I could easily trample on.

Do you know that the devil doesn’t have any power, surprised? Colossians 2:13-15 says, “And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. Jesus took away all powers from the devil which he had used to torment before Jesus resurrection. So if this is true, then how does it seem as though the devil has so many powers?

Good question, log on tomorrow to get the answer.

What Is This 'Rest" That Ye Speak Of?

Hello everyone,

Last time I wrote on how it is left to us to receive what God has offered on the topic, “According To Your Faith”. But before that, I wrote on how God has this rest plan for every one of us, like a permanent weekend without stress. The question then came, which was and still is, “If God wants us to rest, then how do we survive?” The point here is to understand what this rest really means.

In Genesis 2:2, it says, “And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done”. For God to have rest didn’t mean He was tired, rather it meant the work was completed, in other words, there was nothing else to be done again, it had reached its perfect state. The rest really mean blessings! God has done everything for us, all we have to do is to enter that state of blessing.

Hebrews 4:11 says, “Let us, therefore, be diligent to enter that rest…”. The world lost the rest when Adam fell. When Adam was created, He entered from the very beginning, which is why His duty was to tend the garden and not till the ground. The rest is a state of grace, a shadow of it which the children of Israel got when they came into the Land of Canaan. But for us, the fullness of grace is at the end of ourselves, that is when we pick up a new life which starts in Christ Jesus. Christ has done everything for us, all we have to do is just to believe; it seems so good to be true, but it’s true.

Man struggle to eat, to clothe, to have a roof over his head. He struggles with his health, finance and other things, but God through Jesus has given us grace. In Him is life, and when I mean life, it doesn’t include the struggles we face, because our struggles are the result of the absence of rest. Yes, we are to work in rest but struggle; the rest is just directions on what has already been done, ours is just to pick it up.

Jesus said in John 3:35, “The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand.” In actual fact, Christ is our rest! We are just to abide in Him and allow His words abide in us [ref. John 15:7]. This where the Holy Spirit comes in to guide us in this rest. Believe me, we grow in the rest as we drop our old attitude, since its source has been destroyed. So, we are to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 3:18.

According To Your Faith

Thank God it’s Friday! Happy weekend everyone,

Weekends are lovely, back when I was in school, it was a happy day for all of us because classes were short and we got to go home early and rest for as long as we wanted and also have fun. The time to rest, relax from the whole weeks' hard work was what we always looked forward to, even till now at work. But do you know that God’s intention is to put us on an eternal weekend, an eternal rest? Actually, He has, it’s just that many of us are workaholics, we just love to work. Seriously speaking, if God wanted us to have rest, how do we survive? Good question.
Today, I’ll be looking at faith before delving into how God wants us to survive when we follow His rest plan.

One person whom I admire so much is Jesus the Christ. I feel His command and authority on how He handled things when He lived physically on earth. He was very blunt and said things just the way they were meant to be. He never spoons fed anyone, but in all these, His mission was to fulfil the plans of God which are for us to enter His rest! When it came to miracles, signs and wonders, Jesus wanted those who received it to take as much as they wanted, in other words, He wanted them to receive as much as they believed. This is why you kept on hearing, “your faith has made you whole”. Why the use of this phrase?

The phrase “…your faith has made you…” implied that God had brought as many goodies for us to receive, but it is as much as we believe these goodies are ours that’s how much we receive. A good example is a time Jesus healed the Centurion’s servant in Matthew 8:5-13, Jesus wanted to go heal the servant, but the Centurion didn’t feel worthy for Jesus to come over, as he answers, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” Jesus was so impressed with his level of faith which made Him say to the Centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.”

It is really us who prevent things from coming to us, and not God, because He has offered us things beyond our imagination, just Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us”. So, any challenge that we face in any form which is not beneficial to our being, such as poverty, sickness, diseases, depression and so on, can never come from God. God, Himself has brought the solution, which is rest, which can only be found in Jesus.

A closer look at this ‘rest’ would be discussed tomorrow.

Listen and Be Diligent

Hello everyone,

Have you really asked God for a thing and it seems as though He’s not there to listen or He has refused to answer you? Yeah, I’ve had that experience a lot and it was so frustrating, that I even cried to Him that I have no one to turn to but Him, but it seemed as though I was speaking to the wind. But guess what? God was listening to me all the time, and guess what again? He knew what you were going to ask just before you asked and He has answered you. I didn’t know this until I had to calm down. Let me show how I knew God listened.

In the midst of my cry was someone directing me somewhere, this happens either as an insight or through something around you in any form. The first thing we need to know is that God is always wanting to take us to the place where we would find our answer, but what we want is for the result to fall from the sky like a genie’s magic trick. Nope, He wants us to be diligent, really when King Solomon said in Proverbs 22:29, “Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before unknown men.” This is where God is always taking us to the place where we would eat the fruit of our labour in due season.

Many times we get into the wrong business, work our strength out with nothing to show for it, what do you think is wrong? You are in the wrong business! And when you cry to God, you expect the business to just change by itself? No, He gives you new strategies which you’ve not tried in the business before or He takes you to a new place.

You cannot be where God called you to be and won’t reap the fruit of your labour, it isn’t possible. The year 2016 was one of my worst years, I cried to God several times to help me out and He kept on pointing a particular direction, which I was to follow. I felt it didn’t make sense, so I misinterpreted Proverbs 22:29, thinking I was to work harder at what I was doing, but that’s not what Proverbs 22:29 meant. What it means is that we are to be diligent at listening to God, it is then that the fruit of our listen gives birth to the right action which we are to take which is where God wants us to be! It was until I understood this and meditated on His Word being diligent at it, then I knew where to go and was diligent at that thing, because of the insight I received [Psalms 1:1-3; Joshua 1:8; Proverbs 3:4-6]. It all begins with calming down to listen to God and follow the steps little by little and it would be rejoicing all the way. Trust me I did this and I’m happier than the word happy.

How Does The Holy Spirit Operate? (Part 2)

Good morning everyone,

Yesterday, I explained how the Holy Spirit operates, and Jesus was the example I used, how the Holy Spirit in Him being His life made us understand that He is the physical manifestation of God. I then concluded saying that’s how our lives are as we become born again. But I say “what?” Jesus was perfect from the beginning, His soul wasn’t corrupted, not even for a second. So, He having the Spirit of God would be clear enough to us from here that Jesus is God, but not me! How could I be God, it sounds like blasphemy. I have a lot of things I’m struggling with, health issues, financial issues and many other issues. I’m still working with my emotions, I could get angry, sad or any other emotion that doesn’t look Christ like, so how can I be just as Christ. This is a solid question to ask.

The question everyone asks is even though I accept Jesus as Lord, why do I still have flaws in my life? 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” God made took all our flaws and placed it on Jesus Christ and by doing that we became the righteousness of God. As we accepted Christ as Lord, the source of our sins was destroyed permanently, we then became like babies learning how to walk. Although the child may fall, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have walking in him, all the child has to do is practice till he attains perfection. This is how we operate, the Holy Spirit is our helper, comforter and counsellor who is always there till we mature.

Ephesians 4:11-13 says, “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” Christ has given some Believers responsibilities to assist the new Believers to know how to recognise the Holy Spirit in their lives as they grow. These Believers with responsibilities have grown to a certain level that they can bring new Believers up to speed.

As new Believers, you may have flaws, but they are wearing out because that is not your life again. So as you learn about who you are, you manifest your true nature which is the exact nature of Jesus, which is the nature of God. In other words, our Spirit is God, but we are growing to manifest Him in full. So, your focus should be on Him and not your flaws anymore because that isn’t your life anymore. That’s how as you study who Christ is and the Holy Spirit helps you manifest that life, you find out your flaws reduce continuously, and on and on like that. But you must continue to study who you truly are, this is very important [ref. Hebrews 12:1-2; Romans 12:1-2; Psalms 82:6].
