Don't Give Up In Doing Good

The life of Sons or Daughters of God is a unique one. Unique in the sense of not doing the conventional thing the average person on earth would do.

The world is filled with corruption and it is seen as a normal way of life. But Sons and Daughters of God live a non-corrupt way of life which makes them appear odd or sometimes gullible.

Galatians 6:7-10 says,

"⁷Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. ⁸For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. ⁹And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. ¹⁰Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith."

Verse 8 makes it clear if we sow in the flesh we will reap corruption. But if we sow in the Spirit, we will reap everlasting life. The world sows in the flesh, going by the level of increasing corruption in the world.

On the other hand, we find out that the Sons and Daughters of God are to sow in the Spirit. This is not a normal way of life in this world. This was why Apostle Paul the Sons and Daughters of God not to be weary in doing good because it won't be appreciated at times. It could get to the point of even getting persecuted.

As Sons and Daughters of God, we must have at the back of our minds that in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Remember, we live in a fallen world and we are here on a mission. True, things could be discouraging, but by remembering the purpose of our calling and with the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit, we will receive strength to keep on keeping on.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

The Dawn of a New Era

What does being a Son or Daughter of God or a true Christian mean? It is not just a title, like a doctorate or similar position. It is an identification of a different species, that may look like the regular people on earth, but this time from a different kingdom.

Sons and Daughters of God are not of this earth. They are of the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The kingdom of this earth is the kingdom of the first Adam, but sadly ruled by the devil itself (ref.: 2 Corinthians 4:4), due to the fall of Adam.

The second reason Jesus came as man was to establish a new era, His kingdom. And anyone who confesses with their mouth, the Lord Jesus, and believe in heart that God raised Him from the dead, they will automatically be translated from the kingdom of this world to His kingdom (ref.: Romans 10:9; Colossians 1:13). All, these are possible because of the first reason Jesus came as a man was to free us from the bondage of sin by taking our place in exchange for His life (ref.: 2 Corinthians 5:21).

So, what are the Sons and Daughters of God meant to do here on earth. First of all Sons and Daughters of God are like soldiers of our Lord Jesus Christ because they are on a mission and need to be focused (ref.: 2 Timothy 2:3-4).

The whole world is coming to an end, and the devil who knows its time is near wants to make sure no one is saved. This is why it attacks the Sons and Daughters of God through distractions from things of this world, persecution from unsaved people and even some government, antagonism and more, just to discourage the Sons and Daughters of God and ensure the lost are not saved (ref.: John 15:18-25; 16:1-4).

The work of the Sons and Daughters of God is very crucial because they have all been sent by Jesus to spread the good news of salvation, thus letting people know that the world is coming to an end and they need to be saved to be translated into the kingdom of Jesus.

Sons and Daughters of God need to always meditate on the word of God day and night to keep up the spark of their faith in Christ Jesus in the leading of the Holy Spirit, who guides them into all truth, leading them on where to go and how to go about the mission.

They are not too entangled with things of this world because it is very enticing and distracting. This is where the Holy Spirit comes in, whom we are listening to.

The new era has begun already, but would properly be inaugurated in the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We should not take things for granted, for no one knows the day or time our Lord Jesus will return (ref.: Matthew 24:36; 1 Thessalonians 5:2; 2 Peter 3:10).

Don't Forget The Third Guy

Jesus Christ came for two reasons. The first one is to be a sacrifice on behalf of the whole world, thus taking the sin of the entire world upon Himself being the only one pure, righteous, and without sin (ref.: 2 Corinthians 5:21). But what is the second reason?

The second reason Jesus came to the world was to establish a new beginning with Himself through His resurrection. In order words, He is the last Adam. What does this imply?

This implies that there are two kingdoms. The kingdom of the first Adam of Genesis, who is dying off, and Jesus the life-giving kingdom (ref.: 1 Corinthians 15:45). It also implies that anyone born of Christ Jesus has the same nature as Jesus, the last Adam, just the same way we all once had the life of the first Adam, when we born were of him, born into sin. But anyone born of Christ Jesus is born into righteousness as His true nature.

Now, what happens after being born of Christ Jesus?

Jesus told His disciples when He was here on earth that it was better for them He went back to the Father, if not the Holy Spirit would not come (ref.: John 16:7).

For Jesus, the Holy Spirit is very important. He is one Jesus spoke of as the good things our Father in heaven would give us in Matthew 7:11 being revealed as the Holy Spirit in Luke 11:13.

The Holy Spirit is the one who leads us into all truth, and not speaking on His authority, but whatever He hears, He speaks (ref.: John 16:13).

The kingdom of Jesus, the last Adam will be spread by the Holy Spirit, this was why Jesus said the disciples should wait in the upper room for the coming of the Holy Spirit, because having received Jesus as Lord, you now have the Spirit of Jesus. But you need to be led into knowing your new identity, and, the purpose of your calling. This is where the Holy Spirit comes in.

The Bible says in Colossians 2:6, "In the same way you received Jesus our Lord and Messiah by faith, continue your journey of faith, progressing further into your union with him!" TPT. And the only way to get this done is by allowing the Holy Spirit to lead. But I've seen several Sons and Daughters of God drift away into the wisdom of the world through furthering their education.

Now, education is wonderful, but as a Son or Daughter of God, it is the Holy Spirit who leads us, tells us what we are to do, and how to go about it in line with the word of God.

The Holy Spirit is so important in our Christian growth. Without Him, we cannot accomplish our purpose as Sons or Daughters of God.

He reveals our action plan in line with the word of God we have meditated on. Don't take Him for granted, because in case we have forgotten He is God. This is why we function in the authority of the might of the Lord Jesus.

John 14:26 says "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." The Holy Spirit is very informed, knows all things, and knows the end from the beginning. He is God! Allow Him to lead you, don't forget Him.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t? Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

As To The Lord And Not To Man

When you do whatever the Lord asks, you glorify His name. And this also boosts your faith in Him.

Colossians 3:17 says, "And whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus and in [dependence upon] His Person, giving praise to God the Father through Him." AMPC.

Our actions should deliberately focus on Christ Jesus, our guide and captain of our ship.

If we think we do things of our own accord we get stressed out because that is not our job or duty.

Humans or Sons and Daughters of God need a leader to show us what to do and how to go about it. This was why Jesus asked the disciples not to go out to preach until the coming of the Holy Spirit, who is one Spirit with Jesus, and every Son and Daughter of God.

Many times we choose to lead ourselves, when we can't see beyond our noses. But God who made us knows the end from the beginning and has individual purposes for our lives. And to think of it, this saves us a lot of stress. All we are to do is follow His leading.

Whatever we do always have a purpose or a reason. And the Lord is asking us to do things as though we were doing them for Him. Of course, the Holy Spirit is always there to guide us in whatever we do, even when we are stuck. This enables us to live the life of Jesus we have inherited because we are Christ-focused.

There are times we like a show-off, but really, that doesn't portray the life of Christ Jesus we inherited. And of course, we are to get to know who Jesus is more through meditation on His words and the leading of the Holy Spirit. The more we do this, the more we reflect Him, because to know Him is to know ourselves. And as we keep doing that, we effortlessly live His life.

So remember, He should always be on your mind in whatever thing you do, as it is to the Lord and not to man. And the Holy Spirit is always there in our times of trouble, to get us through the mess to a path that leads leads Christ Jesus.

You're What You See and Say

We all have senses that allow us to be conscious of our environment. These senses determine our perceptions of things. In other words, senses allow us to take in things that shape our mindset, and whatever shapes our mindset shapes our life.

As we all know Adam and Eve absorbed sin into their life after making a wrong decision that put the whole world in danger of death. Everything man perceived was constantly evil, no matter the degree because God was out of the picture in their spirit, and the devil was leading the world astray, just because man could not perceive correctly.

Jesus came to the world to redeem the whole world back to God, by becoming the sacrificial lamb to take the place of all of mankind, while He gave us His life.

God raised Jesus a brand new man to whom God gave all authority in heaven, earth, and under the earth. And in the name of Jesus, every knee would bow in heaven, earth and under the earth and every tongue would confess that Jesus is Lord (ref.: Philippians 2:8-11). Jesus sits at the right hand of God, as He has inherited all that God is as Himself (ref.: Colossians 2:9; 1 Peter 3:22). What does this mean to us?

This means that our perception of things should change and be the exact perception of Christ Jesus since we have been redeemed. And all those who accept Him as their new life, have His Spirit as theirs. Then there is the Holy Spirit who guides our soul which perceives with the senses.

Our Spirit which is the real us was changed, but our soul, which is the connecting factor between the spirit realm and the physical realm should perceive correctly through the Spirit of Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 53:4 says that Jesus bore our infirmities, diseases, weaknesses, and flaws upon Himself. He gave His life in its stead (ref.: 2 Corinthians 5:21).

Remember, what we perceive shapes our mindset, which shapes our life.

Let's look at how Jesus' perception while here on earth.

Whenever Jesus was to heal a person, He saw the person healed, not sick as people saw the person. When Jesus was to multiply the loaves of bread and two fish, He saw the bountiful harvest, and not the five loaves and two fish. Why was this so? He perceived as the Lord God perceived. As He said in John 5:19 all He does is what He sees our heavenly Father do.

Now, Jesus sits at the right hand of God the Father. He made us understand that we are to see as God sees because what we see becomes what we say.

As Sons and Daughters of God, we are to live and walk by faith and not by sight (ref.: Romans 1:17; 2 Corinthians 5:7). To live and walk by faith is to see with the eyes of Christ Jesus. In other words, because of the finished work of Christ Jesus on the cross and the power in His resurrection, we see everything in that light, in the leading of the Holy Spirit. This was why Jesus saw the sick healed even before He commanded the sickness to go.

This is very important because we become what we see. This is because faith in the real sense means to rest on all that God has given us in Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.

The devil could bring deceptive visions, but we are to bring them captive into the obedience of Christ Jesus (ref.: 2 Corinthians 10:3-5). We are to only see with the eyes of God. With this we see the miraculous happen in our lives.

Our words on the other hand are commands that bring things to life. Remember, we have the life of Christ Jesus, and the word of God doesn't come back to Him void (ref.: Isaiah 55:11). Likewise, whether we know it or not, our words do not go without accomplishing what was said. This is why Jesus said God will judge every idle word (ref.: Matthew 12:36-37).

Proverbs 18:21 says "Your words are so powerful that they will kill or give life, and the talkative people will reap the consequences" TPT.

As Sons and Daughters of God, we see as Christ sees, and confess who Christ says we are right now in Him. Just as Jesus saw as the Father saw, He confessed what He saw, and it came to pass.

But our words begin from the heart, which is what we see, and then we confess in line with what we see. Whatever we see and say, comes to pass. This affects our way of life. This is why shouldn't talk carelessly, and we are to guard our hearts diligently because it affects our lives (ref.: Proverbs 4:23).

How To Confess

To say you are a Son or Daughter of God isn't just an acknowledgement but also what your actions portray. The action is the effect on where you stand, the manifestation of your belief, which is the evidence people see. But before the action is the confession [the cause], which are words seasoned with Grace. The point to take note of is to know how to confess.

Your life as a Son or Daughter of God is not your life, but the life of Jesus. The life you think is yours is dead and gone forever (ref.: Colossians 2:11-12). Your only business is the life of Jesus, because, He is your new life (ref. Hebrews 12:2). All that He is, you have become (ref.: 1 John 4:17). But your soul is ignorant of this in certain areas within you. Remember, you are a spirit, possess a soul and live in a body.

Your spirit who you think is you was changed to the Spirit of Jesus, but your soul and body weren't, which is why there is the need for your soul to be transformed (ref.: Romans 12:2). This is because the transformation of your soul affects your body. So, how do you confess?

As I wrote, your only business is the life of Jesus. You have the life of Christ Jesus, who you need to know. As Jesus said in John 17:3, which says, "And this is eternal life: [it means] to know (to perceive, recognize, become acquainted with, and understand) You, the only true and real God, and [likewise] to know Him, Jesus [as the] Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah), Whom You have sent." AMPC. Knowing God and His word, Jesus as yourself is the true eternal life.

Through the cleansing of the blood, the inheritance in His resurrection, and accepting the Lord Jesus as your Lord you become all that Jesus is, you have become. And Jesus has given everyone born of God the gift of the Holy Spirit, who interprets the scriptures to us.

As you meditate on His word day and night, you are open to the revelation of who Jesus is more and more. And remember, all that Jesus is in heaven, you are, right here on earth. And the Holy Spirit interprets how that affects you right here on earth. It is things you have been exposed to about Jesus that you confess.

As you confess, your mind is being transformed, because the word of God is alive and active, and what you are confessing is the truth of who you are. You can only tell yourself the truth and see it manifest.

Your life is the life of Christ Jesus alone. All you need to do is meditate on the word of God, allowing the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to the revelation of Christ. And you are to confess who Christ is as yourself, knowing that by Grace through faith, you have received all that Christ Jesus is.

Christ Jesus is your life (ref.: Colossians 3:4), and the more you confess Him, the more your life manifests as Himself.

The Holy Spirit urges us to speak in tongues, which is the undiluted perfection of Christ being confessed, bypassing the limited human mind. This also brings about intense revelation.

Don't be deceived by whatever you face or see that isn't Christ Jesus. If it isn't who Christ Jesus is, then it isn't you, and if it isn't you, do not meditate or confess it. Rather, confess who Christ Jesus is in that very situation. This strengthens your faith [rest and trust] in Christ Jesus.

Another form of confession which takes your mind off the lies of the devil here is praises. Praise strengthens your faith, and makes the devil flee. You only see Christ Jesus, He alone is glorified in your life.

The strength of your confession is Christ Jesus, and who He is. Confess all that Christ Jesus is as who you have become. Draw near to Him, get to know Him better, and experience Him, where you receive divine strength and direction through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Your confession is your strength because it rests on the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is as though Christ were speaking when you confessed. And remember His name is the key that opens any door in heaven, earth, and under the earth (ref.: Philippians 2:8-11).

Get to know Jesus more to walk in His authority through your confession.

How Well Do You Know Him? (Part 2)

Yesterday, I explained the importance of knowing God and sitting at His feet to receive revelation from Him. I also said faith is knowing a person to the point of trusting the person's words. And the person in this case is God. If we have issues in our lives, and we know that Jesus has sorted them out through His finished work on the cross, manifested in the power of His resurrection, what you need is to sit at the Lord's feet through meditation on His word, to bring about the revelation that the Holy Spirit would use to guide you into living the finished works of Christ Jesus.

Abraham believed in God; a sign of how well he knew God. His belief was what God called righteousness. (ref.: Romans 4:1-3).

Noah also believed in God and built an ark after being warned of the coming flood (ref.: Hebrews 11:7).

The disciples of Jesus asked Him why they couldn't cast the evil spirit in the epileptic boy. Jesus told them it was because of their unbelief; the remedy was prayer and fasting (ref.: Matthew 17:14-19; Mark 9:14-28; Luke 9:37-42). What Jesus meant was to properly cast out such an evil spirit, you must have sat at the feet of Jesus, become closer to Him through meditation, and receive revelation to function in authority, which is activated through belief. Just as Jesus indicated that they lacked unbelief.

And remember Jesus had earlier given the twelve disciples power over unclean spirits by casting them out and healing all kinds of sickness and disease (ref.: Matthew 10:1; Mark 3:14-15; Luke 9:1). The way to activate this power Jesus gave them was through belief. But if they don't know Jesus well enough, they will still have doubts; as faith is trusting the words of someone you have come to know well. This is what fasting does, it gets you closer to God without any distractions.

How well do you know the Lord Jesus? Rather than getting sad or worked up over the situations you face that are contrary to the finished work of Jesus, why don't you go and meet the Lord and sit at His feet, to get refreshed as you know Him better.

Jesus in His prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane in John 17:3 said, "And this is eternal life: [it means] to know (to perceive, recognize, become acquainted with, and understand) You, the only true and real God, and [likewise] to know Him, Jesus [as the] Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah), Whom You have sent." AMPC.  Eternal life is knowing God the Father and Jesus who is the Father as Man. This gives an eternal supply of God's presence, and remember, there is no end to knowing Him. Why do you think it's called eternal life?

Hebrews 11:6 says without faith it is impossible to please, meaning you can't claim to be called the Son or Daughter of God and not know your Father? To know Him is to act like Him. As He is, so are you in Christ Jesus (ref.: 1 John 4:17).

Ask the Lord to open your heart to understanding as you sit at the Lord's feet meditating in His word. As you meditate, your heart is opened to revelation, which the Holy Spirit explains, and your faith/trust increases.

After receiving revelation, we can not confess more appropriately through the finished works of Christ, because it is what He says we believe, and not things contrary to who Jesus is, the devil is forcing through our physical senses.

Don't forget, everything that the devil brings is always a lie, and not debatable. So, the moment you see yourself sick, remember what the finished work of Jesus you have inherited; by His stripes, you were healed. So, since He said this, it is true, and whatever you're feeling or seeing is a lie from the devil.

It takes commitment and consistency to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus (ref. Hebrews 12:2 NIV). How do you manage your time, what do you fill your mind with, because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Always sit at His feet and you will be eternally refreshed (ref.: John 4:14).

How well do you know Him? Get to know Him more each day, because His life and not ours is our source of existence.
