God Blesses The Persecuted For Real!

Happy Weekend everyone,

There are times when I look at how decisions are being made, it gives me concern because a lot of those decisions end up supporting what is wrong. The case here is that the world itself is blinded by lies upon lies that those who stand up for the truth are often persecuted. 2 Corinthians 4:4 says, “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” NIV. In line with this, Jesus said in Matthew 5:9, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

You must be strong if you want to save the world, as the world is living in lies and is decaying every day. The tenets and moral standards are lost because the world isn’t living on the truth. But you who know what is right should not sit down and fold your arms as you watch the world decay, you are to stand up and save the world. The truth is that the world doesn’t know that they are doing what is wrong, although they have this feeling that something isn’t right.

Those who are born of God are meant to go into all the world and tell them the good news of how they have been set free from their bondage and how what they have been holding unto have been lies all the while, but they would persecute you because of the truth which you hold on to.

1 Peter 3:14 says, “But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed, “And do not be afraid of their threats nor be troubled.” 2 Corinthians 4:17 says, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.” Jesus said you are blessed when you are persecuted, and yours is the kingdom of heaven. Don’t be afraid, God has rewarded you for every effort you make, but one thing you must understand and do is that you must be led by the Holy Spirit, without whom you’ll just be wasting your time. He is your direction, your eyes, ears and your senses. Save the world, believe in yourself in Jesus for He knows you can do it, that’s why you were chosen.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

An Apple a Day Keeps The Doctor Away?

Hello everyone,

I ate an apple yesterday morning, and then I remembered the saying, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away.” Then I remembered also that I had done a quick research on apples and found out the apple saying wasn’t a lie. But then what caught my attention was that it wasn’t just eating apples that kept the doctor away, rather it was the consistent eating of an apple a day that would eventually keep the doctor away. Why can’t we do the same with the word of God? Because it isn’t the entire apple tree that we are to eat, but just an apple! The same thing applies to the word of God!

Meditating on the word of God doesn’t have to do with hours upon hours of Bible study, but just something as simple as picking a very striking and powerful verse of the Bible and meditating on it. It would amaze you how much spiritual nourishment you can gain from that single verse. The only thing is that it has to be consistent. And the more you do it, the less you focus on your challenges. Sickness and diseases starts to fade off, poverty starts to fade off, you see yourself becoming more and more like Christ in your way of life, and you become the man in Psalms 1:1-3 whom whatever he does prospers just because he meditates on the word day and night. This is not a magic trick, it is just a change of focus.

It’s not how much but how little and the discipline to keep at it, then you’ll know that it’s not only an apple a day that keeps the doctor away, but a scripture verse a day keep sins away. Do have a lovely day, God bless you.

Be Change Agents

Hello everyone,

I look everywhere around me and I see frustration, people rushing to make ends meet in an insincere society where people cannot be honest in their dealings. Romans 8:20-21 says, “For the creation (nature) was subjected to frailty (to futility, condemned to frustration), not because of some intentional fault on its part, but by the will of Him Who so subjected it-[yet] with the hope that nature (creation) itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and corruption [and gain an entrance] into the glorious freedom of God’s children.” AMP. Whether we try to avoid it, the truth is the truth, the world is very corrupt, but is this how the world is to remain?

In one of my write-ups, I said the Sons and Daughters of God are meant to be superheroes, in other words, we are to save the world from its troubles. Now, we have received a new Spirit, a new life, a new understanding, with the wisdom of God and the mind of Christ, thus we are to teach the world how to live, by our way of life, that is how our lives should show a person who is not controlled by the way the world operates, and showing them how our real world operates, for we are Ambassadors for Christ, (ref.: 2 Corinthians 5:20).

There are distractions everywhere because we live in this world, but one way to help get your minds off the pattern of this world is to know exactly what God has called you for here on earth. The reason for this is because if we don’t get to know why we were put here on earth and walking with the Holy Spirit as He keeps unravelling what we are to do here on earth, we would just be held in the chaos, corruption, and pattern of this world. Our purpose is to save this world, as Christ has called us to do so, which is why we have been given the fullness of Christ.

We were set free by Jesus when He died on cross, and through His resurrection we have received the fullness of Christ, which is why we are seated with Christ in the heavenly realms, (ref.: Ephesians 2:6), it is left to us who know this truth to tell the world that they have been set free, even if they feel comfortable in their mess, we are to show them that their mess is like a man comfortably living in prison.

The Holy Spirit is our best friend Who we can relate anything to, and He is ever ready to help and direct us, to set the world free from decay and bondage, we must save the ignorant and lost ones from this misery, but first let us not get carried away because many have been carried away and this is one of the reasons why the unsaved have refused to change. Be that change agent that the world have been waiting for, by bringing heaven down here on earth through our way of life.

Practice What You Preach

Hi everyone,

In one of my write-up, I wrote on the importance of synergy in the body of Christ in order to make any true and positive transformation here on earth. I also wrote that the Sons of God have been distracted so much that they have lost focus on their mission, and as a result of that, many are losing faith in God. Today’s focus is still on synergy, but more on what we say in order to achieve our mandate.

2 Timothy 2:15 says, “Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analysing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skilfully teaching] the Word of Truth.” AMP. The point that led to this verse is for Timothy to choose wisely, those whom he would ordain as teachers for the Word of God. So in line with that, Paul told Timothy to study and be eager to show himself approved by God, one who is not ashamed and rightfully teaching the Word of God. This is very important, but Apostle Paul did not stop there, he went further in verse 16 and 17 which says, “But avoid all empty (vain, useless, idle) talk, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness. And their teaching [will devour; it] will eat its way like cancer or spread like gangrene…” AMP.

As Sons of God, apart from teaching the right Word of God, you are to live the Word of Truth, by walking in the spirit. This is very important because your life is a strong form of evangelism which should display an exemplary life of Christ in everything you do; also, many people get saved just by watching how you live, what you say, which is why Paul wrote to Timothy that he should avoid empty, vain, useless, and idle talk, because in order to lead people to righteousness you need to live the life of righteousness yourself.

People look at your way of life first before they listen to you, therefore the Sons of God should practice what they preach, which is shows to the world that they need another life to survive.

Releasing The Supernatural

Hello everyone,

One thing I have come to understand is that once you don’t relate to Christ the way Jesus related with His Father (God), then you would just be struggling in your Spiritual growth in Christ Jesus. What I mean by this is simple, Jesus had a complete trust in His Father, and it was as a result of these that He was able to operate excellently here on earth. Well, this write-up emphasises on thanksgiving.

Let’s take a look at some miracles of Jesus when He was here physically on earth. The feeding of the 5,000, recorded in all the gospels, [ref.: Matthew 14:13-21; Mark 6:30-44; Luke 9:10-17; John 6:1-14] before Jesus distributed the bread and fish to His disciples for further distribution, He gave thanks to God. Now, giving thanks to God by Jesus wasn’t to fulfill all righteousness, rather, it was an act of faith, in other words, Jesus was thanking God that He (God) had used the five loaves to feed the five thousand, this was clearly an act of faith. It is only when you have complete trust in a person that you trust the person when the situation appears completely hopeless.

Again, in the raising of Lazarus, Jesus’ friend, according to the Jews, a person is confirmed dead after three days, but Jesus visited on the fourth day, which again was a helpless situation because it was day four. The people around crying over the death of Lazarus was enough reason to kill the faith of Jesus, but it didn’t because Jesus had complete trust in His Father. Jesus in the gospel of John 11:41b-42 spoke to His Father saying, Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.” Jesus hadn’t performed the miracle but He was already thanking His Father, it is only one who has complete and absolute trust in a person that would take such a risk. And of course, we know the end of the story, Lazarus was brought back to life!

The summary of all these is that Jesus on His own never performed any miracles, but allowed His Father to perform miracles through Him. Jesus said it that He has no authority of His own, that He does what He sees His Father do, [ref. John 5:19; 8:38; 14:10]. But was is because Jesus came from heaven that made Him have access to such great power? That is not the key reason, the main reason was and is that the Father loves the Son and the Son loves the Father. Now, it’s not just that the Father loves the Son, but that Jesus knows how much the Father loves the Him, and the love is so strong that Jesus could trust Him to the end over anything that His Father tells Him.

Let us, first of all, remember that God the Father and Jesus His Son are not liars, we as Sons and Daughters of God are connected to Jesus who is the firstborn. We are to know how much Jesus loves us, it is when we know the depth of His love for us that we make our faith grow deeply. But as we search the scriptures, we are to meditate on how much God loves us through Jesus Christ and the grace He has bestowed upon us. It is as we grow in the knowledge of His love for us that our faith is strengthened and we live the supernatural life here on earth by allowing Christ flow through us.

We need to yield ourselves to Christ more and more in order to have a life of thanksgiving and gratitude. But the deeper truth is that we cannot live the supernatural unless we allow Christ to flow through us and that can only be by knowing and understanding how much Christ loves us. His love for us is so deep that we cannot get to its depth, but as we go deeper, we unleash the powers and authority of the resurrected Jesus in our daily living, and giving thanks becomes our lifestyle. It’s all about His love for us.

In Spirit and In Truth

Happy new week everyone,

I took some oil and poured a little of it into a small bowl which contains water, I stirred the content in the bowl, but even after stirring it several times, the oil and water won’t mix or become one. Well, it’s not that I didn’t know this before, but my point in performing this experiment again even after knowing the outcome was just a message to show that this is just how law and grace is, they can’t be mixed. But my focus today isn’t directly at law and but at the spirit and the flesh. The truth is that the two cannot be mixed, and by mixed I mean that which holds control of the mind, it is either the flesh or the spirit, but never both. This serves as a foundation to what I would share today.

I believe most of us would remember Jesus met with the Samaritan woman when He was tired from His journey and decided to take a rest by the well which the Samaritan woman met Him. To cut the long story, through their conversation, Jesus said something quite striking in the Gospel of John chapter 4:23-24, which says, “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” So you guys are like, “okaaay, what’s so striking about this?” a lot is striking about these verses.

We worship God, but many of us haven’t fully come to the understanding that we must worship the Father in spirit and in truth. By truth it means in reality, like your way of life, these are the type of people God our Father is looking for. Romans 8 has made us understand that the way of the flesh, which is the carnal mind is enmity with God and cannot please God, [ref.: Romans 8:7-8]. To say that an act cannot please God shows the lack of faith and the lack of faith means the lack of trust in God, for without faith it is impossible to please God, [ref.: Hebrews 11:6].

The flesh or the carnal mind is dependent on the five senses in passing judgement or carrying things out, but the way of the spirit is to rely on the Holy Spirit to direct your five senses. You are not to see with the natural eyes or any other part of the five senses, it is just like how you don’t see a thing until you use special glasses then you see clearer, this is kind of how it appears in the spirit realm.

The striking aspect is that worship is a lifestyle not a moment you enter when you say, “Let’s be in the mood of worship,” you are supposed to always be in the mood of worship, as you are to always live and walk by faith, which is walking in the spirit, [ref.: 2 Corinthians 5:7; Galatians 5:16]. So how do we always walk in the spirit?

To walk in the spirit is to be transformed by the continuous renewal of our mind every day and night, which would make us prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God, [ref.: Romans 12:2]. To do this would imply that you must have presented your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, [ref.: Romans 12:1], which means, you must be teachable by the Holy Spirit, ready to learn, this is humility. The Holy Spirit doesn’t work with people who are not teachable, those who still brag over what they have acquired because the scriptures tell us that if anyone should boast, he should boast in the Lord, [ref.: Jeremiah 9:24; 1 Corinthians 1:31].

After the regular study and meditation on the Word of God Who transforms your heart, you are then aware of the Grace God our Father has given to us through faith in Jesus Christ, this is when Philippians 4:8 comes to play, “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” All which I underlined are what the Word of God is, also as we live our lives, whatever we encounter, if they don’t fall in line with what Philippians 4:8 says, there is no point thinking or speaking about it, they could and would be harmful to your spiritual growth, because those who worship the Father must worship Him in spirit and in truth.

How Do You Know It's The Devil Talking? (Part 3)

Happy Sunday everyone,

Last time, I wrote on how Jesus knew it was the devil speaking during the temptation. Jesus knew because the spirit which is not of God will draw your away from God to yourself, no matter how nice it sounds. Another way was that Jesus was vast in the scriptures and was able to detect where the devil twisted the scriptures. Today, my focus is on one strong point to note to establish which spirit I talking to you.

Remember I said the spirit must conform to the word and not the word conforming with the spirit. The spirit is meant to support the word of God. The word comes first, while the Holt Spirit is meant to explain the word of God to you by standing on the word of God and drawing you away from self to Christ, this is important. Whenever the self is emphasised, watch out, that spirit isn't right. But how will you be sure? This is my focus today.

The devil with it's agents can twist scriptures and deceive people. But with all these, there is a limit to how far he can go. Whenever a spirit speaks to you, the first thing to do to clear your head and mind is to ask who is talking. Any spirit can claim he is the Holy Spirit, but we all know that the true Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus, and no fake spirit has the guts to confess being Jesus when it is not.

When Jesus stopped Apostle Paul on his way to Damascus before he became an Apostle, Jesus said in the book of Acts of Apostles chapter 9 verse 4, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?" For Apostle Paul to sure, he asked in verse 5, "Who are you Lord?" Jesus confirmed to Paul then Saul saying in verse 6, "I am Jesus whom you are persecuting." This was a confirmation that it was Jesus Himself and not another spirit speaking.

No spirit can confess it is the Spirit of Jesus Christ speaking. And also remember, because of the days we are in where deceit and hardness of heart is high, the spirit has to confirm that He is the Spirit of Jesus Christ and not just Jesus. The Spirit must confess He is the Spirit of Jesus Christ, the who died on the cross and was resurrected. No fake spirit can confess being the Lord Jesus unless it wants to go before its time (laughs). This point to note very important.

Remember also the other points to know when it is not Jesus speaking but the devil. The devil is very tricky and deceitful, never fall in his trap by holding firm to the word of God as Jesus did. Meditate on the word day and night. The more you do, the clearer you would distinguish the word of God from any other spirit.
